Before the event, they suggested that the Jet might be better for our social outing and we switched to it for no charge. Driver Sodo arrived on site 30 minutes early (no charge) to ensure we would leave in time. He helped me set up and briefed me on the features. The AppleTV and Internet access were fun, as we streamed YourTube the whole trip and shared photos from our iPhone. TVs on both ends of the van so you could see not matter which way you faced. We arrived on time to the event and had a great ride. We had some problems with the technology, including loss of audio and stuttering on the way back, but rather than stop to get it fixed we decided to talk instead. The tech works well but can have issues. If the tech matters, have a plan for support if it fails. I'm sure we could have had if fixed if we asked but we didn't bother.

The driver left us stranded at the bottom and we watched him come and go. So we paid $20 for an Uber. The driver was 29 minutes late to Saratoga Inn. It was muggy so we sat by the window in the lobby looking out the entire time. We were outside at the advertised pick up time 5:45 pm. The moment we saw the limo bus, which was hella late, we walked to the already open lobby doors and the driver literally didn't stop. He swung around, slowed down for 1/2 second and sped off! Humiliated and embarrased, we RAN after the bus yelling and waving our arms. We had official AXS Mountain Winery shuttle bus tickets! That means Urban Worldwide had our names and knew we needed picking up! Mind you we briefed the desk clerk and two hotel workers that we are on the limo bus and that we need to get on it. At the top of the mountain, we had our Uber driver drop us off to Urban Worldwide shuttle and the driver said he was there earlier which was untrue. He also showed us a text message that he thought was "proof" that we weren't there. This ruined part of the night. We were at the Inn at 5:30 PM ready to jump on the bus. It was creepy weird that we saw him drive up and drive off: It was like he purposely planned to abandon us. We asked him if he could please wait for us after the venue. We were literally at his mercy. He says, "You have 15 minutes!" Not polite. By the way, the website says we have 20 minutes to get on the shuttle. Anyway, afterward, I twisted my ankle and the driver did in fact wait and got us back to the Inn just fine. He didn't acknowledge wrong doing. I've rented a lot of limos and gotten a lot of rideshares. I've never experienced a driver who literally purposefully left us like that. The Saratoga Inn workers were witnesses and we discussed the situation with them. They washed their hands of it saying, "We have NOTHING to do with that limo bus. No connection." Urban Worldwide gets one star for the driver being totally cool on the way down. I don't know if I even want my money back for leaving us stranded during pick up: The company scares me and creeps me out.

Over the course of my 14 years of using their services, being the millennial that I am, i've tried other taxis before but this one takes the cake for being consistent and reliable here in the bay area! Whether it be using the website itself or calling in to book (which btw, their number is 24/7 or even texting too!), someone is always there to pick up your call even on the busiest hours: Having a consistent driver each time helps and they would appoint another driver if your regular driver is busy. I've pretty much have been driven by all the majority of their drivers by now and they go above & beyond. From booking over the phone to physically being in their vehicles, the drivers they have on staff - each have unique personalities and despite the last minute calls I make, they STILL provide great service each time - from handling my luggages along with making sure the vehicle is clean per trips they make, the drivers sometimes provide free water and hand sanitizers on hand for me to use, or simply remembering your face to spark up random conversations to make the time fly by or keep me awake if I need them to. Even dispatchers recognize my number whenever I call and as swift as they can, they're done in 30s-1m from being a regular user! (They take cash or card, or when you book online, your card information is saved so them They provide services within reach of SFO airport or even able to drop off in far off places from time to time - booking in advance is always a FANTASTIC thing for me as they always secure a driver each time I do so. And the request for your usual cabbie, your regular driver can contact you on request or using the app that notifies you along with an automated text message (which btw, it is VERY convenient in the early/late hours when i order my pick ups and don't want to wake anyone up) Cheaper than Uber and Lyft, I recommend using cab services all over again as they have a more reasonable price - consistency and customer services is more personal, better and key for a great company. I am actually recommending everyone to use Merit as they have been there for as long as I've known. Great for the nostalgic people out there too that are like me, that prefers the older methods of getting around. Ever wanted to re-live those moments from before?
