Many of the decorated trees were absolutely gorgeous. You probably could not build the tree for the sale price they were offering. But if it's not your style, they have many trees you can buy and all sorts of stuff to adorn it with. I really liked all the lights. They had huge stars for the lawn and large balls of light to hang as well as firework shaped lights. Very cool. I picked up a tea towel. It was $9.99. I didn't have a need for any of the big stuff but I was fascinated by the designs and color schemes etc. The owner said they've been open for over 50 years. She also mentioned they do business with the theme parks. Pro tip- they start Christmas in July! So that's when the store is stocked full of everything. So shop early for the best selection. They do not ship because things can break and the shipping and insurance is expensive. So while they have a website, it does not have their items and you cannot buy online. So- stop by! I would give an hour just to peruse. If you're buying - it could be a few hours. Also- they have other holiday stuff (Halloween, Fourth of July, etc)and silk flowers for arrangements etc. They also have furniture, many large planters and vases. So this store is not just Christmas.

They had super friendly parking attendants in Santa hats directing other eager elves to prime parking spots. I was jingling and tingling-so ready to go inside. And I was definitely delighted once I got there... room after room, building after building... full of every Christmas item you could think of, from sacred and soulful to sparkly and shimmery... and everything in between. There were so many trees, decorated in so many themes, with so many accessories, for the rest of the room. I've never seen anything so holly and jolly in the retail world. It really was a feast for the senses (cue the Who's to start singing). There were some really beautiful things-and some prices were high... or at least higher than you'd expect. There were some blue and white cone trees that took my breath away. I'd almost sell my car for those. They were breathtaking-as is so much of this store. And it's not just the merchandise, but the way they've displayed it, as well. It will definitely get you in the holiday spirit... without drinking any holiday spirits. And if the merch doesn't do that, the sweet staff will. They are dedicated and invested in this business... and seem to take great joy in helping customers. No wonder it's survived 50+ years. Santa's smiling at them. It's an easy drive from Tampa... about 90 minutes, give or take. It might be even shorter/easier from the east coast. There's ample parking and truly, something for everyone. I am very conscious of the prices for everything when I shop in these stores, but I can almost always find something. On this particular visit, I didn't make a purchase, but as usual, they had quite a few food items that I can find at other locations and I keep in mind for when they need arises. I've been really considering a new vacuum cleaner, and I have found some really good deals on them here but my only issue is that every one of them does wet and dry and they are all remanufactured products. That doesn't mean anything is wrong with them, but I am looking for just a regular dry vacuum cleaner. Either way I have to save up the money to get one. I have found quite a few kitchen items that I would find useful, but I just don't have room for at the moment. I always check their book section and quite frequently. I find something worth reading. Like the other locations I have been to. I received a greeting when I came through the front door and multiple employees were pleasant to me and offered assistance as I was shopping. As they have an ever-changing in inventory they are definitely worth checking out on a regular basis.

If you're thinking about going, they are celebrating their 7th anniversary with all kinds of deals through MAY 25! The first standout is the customer service. I received help from Blaine (sp?) today. He is knowledgeable, honest, and easy to talk to. I needed help repotting an orchid. First, I couldn't believe how affordable it was - only $8. Blaine handled my plant with care and explained every step he took, going into detail of why he trimmed certain things, explaining the moss that it needs, and gave me instructions for a watering schedule. He clearly knows his stuff so I also got his advice for my plant purchases as well! I bought 2 cute plants with pots for my patio. Blaine even potted those too. Beyond the service, there was an array of plants and pots in a variety of price points. What also drew me is that there is a diverse collection of popular plants but also rare ones too and they all are grown locally at the BWH Greenhouse in Apopka, FL. The shopping experience is also delightful as there are 2 comfy leather couches to sit - it made the space feel so inviting. I saw several people stop to chat with coffees while I was there. The corner shop seems to have made the most of every square foot. Besides the plant-lined space, and in addition to the cozy couches, there was also a work station for the repotting, and an event room with a large table. Jungle Room by BWH Plant is not only a plant shop, but has community-building experiences too. They offer a variety of reoccurring events and workshops like BINGO, paint your pet, making terrariums... I can't wait to start attending! Location is excellent in The Drive, the main street for shopping and dining in College Park. There is plenty of free street parking in the area around Jungle Room. Note that they are closed on Mondays. Open 12pm-7pm Tues-Weds, 10am-8pm Thurs-Sat, and 10am-5pm Sun.

The worst company we have ever dealt with. Home Improvement…read moreSolar / Illuminate Homes sold us a solar panel project based on a written incentive that they have refused to honor. That promise was the only reason we accepted such a big financial commitment. After installation, their communication turned into a disaster. They completely distanced themselves from the situation, ignored our calls, and even implied we should stop contacting them. Extremely unprofessional and irresponsible. They are now blaming the salesperson, claiming he no longer works with them, as if that excuses them from their contractual obligations. Our agreement was with the company, not with an individual. We have full documentation of the written incentive, the messages, the contract, and their repeated attempts to avoid responsibility. We are already working with attorneys and have filed complaints with the CFPB, the Florida Attorney General, and the FTC. We personally know others going through the same situation with this company.
