I can't tell you how many other companies just sent over a brochure with their pricing with no follow-up. In speaking with Josh, he was very consultative, and also just a very pleasant person to talk with. After comparing a few other photographers, we landed on Storytellers because of their beautiful editing style, and we knew we would be in good hands with experienced professionals. We worked with Anel for our engagement photoshoot, and she was a complete gem. My husband and I are not picture people, and she was able to get us comfortable in front of the camera. Those pictures turned out beautifully. For the wedding, we worked with Anel and Andrew for photography, and Marilyn for videography, and I cannot stress how amazing it was to work with all of them. I was a bundle of nerves the day of my wedding, and not once did I have to worry about anything not being captured. If anything, being around them helped ease our nerves a bit, because they were all so nice to be around. We went with a full nine hour package, and by the end of the day, it felt like we all had gone through a journey together. Weddings are wild. The photos turned out beautifully, and we cried the first time we watched our video. Terrible experience!!!She cancelled my appointment (3 hours before) twice and is refusing to give…read moreme a full refund. My original photoshoot was scheduled in November, but she cancelled the day of due to her child being sick so we rescheduled. I had to reschedule the next appointment due to my child being sick. Today, she cancelled for inclement weather, but the photoshoot was supposed to be indoors and it isn't snowing yet. I went ahead and requested a full refund as this is the 2nd time she cancelled on me. She is refusing to refund my appointment due the weather even though the INDOOR shoot was scheduled for 1030 a.m. The snow isn't starting until 12:00 p.m. and I only booked a 30 minutes session. I was understanding during the first last minute cancellation and really appreciated her rescheduling the second appointment because I needed to cancel. However, canceling today's appointment at the last minute was completely unnecessary and unprofessional. The reason she gave was due to weather but it isn't snowing and I don't believe she ever had any intention on actually completing the shoot today.

When we were down to our final four, it was hard for us to make a firm decision, as we were cautious due to the previous bad experience that we had just gone through with the other photographer. Then my fiancé told me "so no to JoJo or did you like her stuff"? I was like. "Who is JoJo? I've never seen Jojo's photos". It gets a little confusing when you're looking at several images, to keep them all straight. Immediately after seeing Joanna's photos, our top 4 got tossed to the side and we knew at that moment we found our photographer :) We spoke on the phone with Joanna and she was super friendly and had answers to all of our questions, and had more to share with us that we didn't think of. We met Joanna at Knights Ferry for our engagement shoot, which is a must (very cool place that she suggested). Joanna was the sweetest person and, this time It felt to us like we were with a real professional. She was constantly helping us get into position, making sure hair wasn't in my fiancé's face. Making sure the lighting was just right before snapping shots. She was in her element, and we couldn't be happier with how this session went! After we parted ways. We were biting our nails waiting to see what we would get in our gallery (after the last disaster with the previous photographer) lol but when that email hit, we stopped what we were doing and went through every image and a huge weight was lifted. We were given the most beautiful pictures and couldn't be happier. We will FINALLY have good pictures of us hanging in our house that weren't taken from an iPhone lol.
