Really horrible experience with this sub-contractor. I would call them a construction company, but…read morethey are not. They sub-contract only. 1.) They fraudulently give you a piece of paper and say, "here, sign this, it will let us talk to your insurer". If you don't read the contingent contract, that's what you're siging. It's solid. You use their sub-contracted services, or you pay 10%. 2.) They promise every 2 weeks to have someone there and to contact you. I had crap sitting in my driveway for 6 months before the sub-contracted crew showed up to do my house. Without notifying me first... they just showed up. No one called. No one said they will be at your house at X date and time". 3.) If you were stupid enough to show them your adjustor's report, they will bill you the full amount, PLUS your deductible. This clearly shows they have little regard for YOU, only YOUR MONEY. The deductible that COULD HAVE been used to fix your house, goes into their pockets as profit. 4.) Shoddy work, poor materials. While they're quick to attempt to repair the shoddy work, the work was shoddy to begin with. You're paying top dollar for bottom work. It's like spending the money on a Mercedes, and only getting a Pinto. 5.) Once they get your money, you'll never hear from them again. Do yourself a favor and call any actual construction company in Spearfish to get their opinion. Just horrible. A true construction company would have a dedicated and well-trained crew to provide the best labor and best products. Allied sub-contracts everything to the lowest bidder to get the most money at the lowest cost. Choose another company. Even a one-man-band will do better.

DO NOT SHOW THEM YOUR ADJUSTORS REPORT…read more DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING UNLESS YOU ARE CERTAIN YOU WANT TO USE THEM (i.e. lose money to them). We made the mistake of showing them our Adjuster's report. They send out inexperienced "appraisers" whose job it is to get to that report. They want to know how much they can bill you and how little they can pay their sub-contracted (i.e. hired at Home Depot parking lot) workers. Suckered us into the contingent contract. Didn't clean up. Nails everywhere in my driveway. Didn't complete about $5,000 worth of work, got paid anyway. Lawyer said it wasn't worth court as the fees would exceed this. Not recommended.

We could not be more impressed with this company. We travel full time in a motorhome. We stopped at…read morethe local Butcher Shop for their incredible short ribs on our way out of town because we had them earlier and they are just that good. Just around the corner Josh and Baynna were working outside. We slid open our drivers window and asked if they had an air powered nail gun as we had a piece of trim that got damaged when we put our slide-out out in the back. They didn't hesitate to help and not only took the time to fix the trim but noticed the door hinge needed repair also so they fixed that too. How's that for service without an appointment. Keep in mind that their expertise is in windows, siding and gutters. Couldn't imagine how good they are with that after seeing what an amazing job they did on our trim.

Do not recommend! Look at their other reviews and BBB complaints. There are tons of roofing…read morecompanies in our area and this is one to stay away from! They mislead me into over priced work despite me asking for clarification. They knew I was on a tight time limit and they took advantage. I wasn't going to post anything about them despite my disgust but their BBB response was uncaring and untrue. I provided them with texts and emails to support my complaint, which I am sure their salesman could also supply but they didn't bother to do any research (no surprise) nor did they bother to reach out to me. Use someone else to save thousands of dollars and have better service from people who don't lie to your face.

    Lifetime Steel Roof

    Lifetime Steel Roof

The experience with Dan Erskin of Lifetime Steel Roof was a nightmare. The crew, with the exception…read moreof 1, was inexperienced laying this type of roof and probably roofing in general. We were not informed of this at the time we agreed Dan would do the work. Dan would leave for hours leaving the one apprentice with a crew that did not know what they were doing and did not listen to him, for the most part. Lots of mistakes were made during this time: roofing did not line up correctly or neatly, nails that were too long went through the roof in awning areas, copper downspouts were stepped on and crushed, nails went through copper gutters, damage to wood throughout the custom home when taking off side pieces to lay roof and putting back on the pieces that were broken when pulling off or cut wrong and uneven in the process. The wood pieces were put back on with glue coming out of the edges looking awful. When Dan was made aware of the problems he said he would fix but did not or said it was like that before. He replaced a copper gutter with a plastic extension, replaced a ripped screen door with a material that did not match the rest of the screen doors, said he would fix the rock tower where rock was broken so we would not notice but never did. Only photos can truly show the disaster this man and his crew, who he is responsible for, created at this multi million dollar custom home. Unfortunately I am unable to download them to this site. This man does not take responsibility for his work or workers and replaces things that were damaged, if pressed, to a condition less than it was in its original condition. Gutters have to be replaced, a carpenter has to be hired to fix the mess they made throughout the home, and it is all upsetting considering how much the roof cost and what our expectations were when first talking with Dan last year. Dan is, if anything, a salesman and one who lies and does not leave the home in the same condition it was when he started.
