I'd love to give HotBins more than 2 stars but the one time I went in, I found it wasn't as big of…read morea "treasure hunt" as it could be. You really have to pay attention to what you're doing and going through, and potentially going to buy. For example, Taped up boxes may not be what they seem, so you have to ask to open them (you can't open them yourself. There's a station you take it to and an employee inboxes it). Hotbins has specific dollar days where on Saturday "everything you buy is ten dollars an item" and Wednesday is "everything you buy is two dollars an item". Put 10 items in your cart (they have shopping carts and the Ikea big blue bag for your stuff) on a Friday, you're walking out the door paying $120 plus tax. There are items "priced as marked" and it can range in product. For instance, smart device charging cables were marked as $6 a cable (USB-C to Lightning, USB to Lightning, USB-C to USB, old style USB to whatever. Charging bricks I think were $6 too). There are bigger items marked as more or less than that days' discount (clothes, fragrances). I didn't catch the pricing on those, as it wasn't something I went over to look at. One challenge is, this store has stuff that is readily available at the dollar store (for example, I saw a twelve pack of Elmers Glue Sticks unopened. Going in on Saturday, I wasn't about to buy that for $10 when the Dollar Tree has the same package for 1.25 plus tax). Why spend over five dollars on a single item that you know you can get for a lower cost at another store and not on a discount? Yes, HotBins is a store of returns: Amazon, Target, Costco, etc. So it's possible twelve or ten dollars is well worth the expenditure if it's a big ticket item (an Amazon Echo Show holder for less than retail price? Sure, if you already have the Echo Show and want the holder), but even at the two dollar mark on Wednesday, there is still a possibility of paying more for the item than necessary. Again, you might be able to get a single $100 retail item for at least 75% off or more. So if it's something huge, you're getting a deal. BUT.. by mid week, it's slim pickings - store is closed on Thursday to restock the bins as they're open Friday to Wednesday. To reiterate the taping of the bosses: majority of the items are sealed and resealed. You must go to customer service to ask to see what it is, as the box description may not always match the item. The workers are more than happy to assist, and ask you don't open the boxes yourselves. If it's not something you want, they will repackage the item and put it back in a bin for someone else to pick up and ask. Overall, the store was clean and well lit. Music was on and not completely loud or in your face. Unfortunately I don't think I'd be back as I found it to be not a really great deal on the day I went.

I like the kind with the dark emerald green top layer and the lighter lime green underbelly, mouth agape and available to chomp chomp chomp open and closed which i like to do and they've got to be showing the shiny triangular oversized chicklet teeth. I'm listening to a round lady with salmon snatching white egrets feet telling another round salmon snatcher about her "secrets of thrifting" and its drawing me in a bit. She's always on the hunt for her five secret items, even when the garage is full and hubby reprimands her, shes got a plan to sell, box, label and ship. I think im in here for quilted sheets or tablecloths, whatever is more large breed resistant to rips and tears and there are some beauties here, perfectly folded like I'm shopping at Macy's. An arm full of them and im off to see the cow in the wildflower bonnet painting. Thrift stores always seem to have at least one cow painting but they're never in a field grazing with others, they're always doing or wearing something non farming, like wearing a Santa Claus hat in their living room while reading the newspaper. This store is filled with beds, bedding, rugs, furniture and less tots, books, tools, mugs and cups - unless its a glass item which is a boundless section all to itself. On this day i left with some sockets and a sleeping bag, I can never have enough sleeping bags. Most items are in brand new condition and you can shop here for a gift for someone you don't want to spend too much on but has a coffee machine or cutting board that are way to small and they font realized it. And im back to the cows and cow art because I've spent time with real live ones recently and they're certainly very underrated large four legged beautiful animals. But one got pissed at me one day and just brushed up upon me. Oh my, the power and size had me reconsidering trying to give her a kiss.

Even those who have withheld adjudication for insignificant charges, or other non-violent crimes. People go through the court process, complete their sentences and pay their dues. Bealls hires them, puts them to work, lets invest themselves in their jobs and two weeks later --hands them a letter firing them for vague arbitrary reasons because we live in a right to work state. Either do the background check up front ** just BE HONEST ** do not hire anyone before you do your due diligence if you only want to hire the pure and pristine people. STILL I do not wish to spend my hard earned money at a place that thinks it's too good for good people who made a bad choice. I choose people over things every time...so Bealls can keep their things because we can get those anywhere and preferably someplace they treat people like they are of value! ADDITIONALLY Beall's hiring tactics of "interview today -start tomorrow'" also mean that at any given time you are most likely paying more because they are not willing to do their due their due diligence and complete background BEFORE putting someone to in the store meaning career criminals have every opportunity to rob US blind as ultimately WE PAY the higher prices for Beall's capitalist greed. So they throw away decent folk who made a mistake versus letting wolves into the henhouse all day everyday and blame it on customer theft when its the very people they invited into their backroom, into their registers and into our pockets! STOP BEALLS NOW! BOYCOTT BEALLS IN PERSON AND ONLINE!
