The scrambled eggs didn't have a bad taste but it wasn't the best and we could tell they weren't freshly cracked eggs and scrambled. The dine in area was very cute with the window valences and the touch of the holiday that they had every where.

They were so good that I ate the entire biscuit without getting a picture. I got the Mountaineer (ham, potato, egg, cheese) and OMG it has been two days and I feel like I can still taste it. The hash brown was reminiscent of the McDonalds hash brown patty, crispy and perfectly fried. The biscuits are quite moist and not dry at all. Not once did I feel that I needed to chug water because of a dry biscuit! My boyfriend got the Peppi biscuit and that one was so yummy also!! This place is super popular so plan in advance. Originally tried to go to the location down the road from us but the drive through line was down the street. I think the wait in line to order was 30-45 min. Overall, this place is amazing and I can't wait to return!

We were really disappointed with our visit to Trivillian's Pharmacy Soda Fountain…read more From the start, the ambience was flat and unwelcoming. The first woman who greeted us barely spoke above a whisper when asking if we needed a menu, then handed us a flimsy trifold piece of paper with zero explanation. The whole interaction felt cold and awkward, not at all inviting. I ordered the BLT, which arrived cut lengthwise instead of diagonally--an immediate red flag for anyone who respects sandwiches. The bacon was thin, small, and overly crisp, more like a salad topping than something meant for a BLT. There was only one sad piece of lettuce, and the bony, middle was left on. My sister ordered the pulled pork sandwich and couldn't believe how the bun managed to be both toasted and soggy at the same time. She specifically asked for no coleslaw, yet it arrived smothered in coleslaw anyway. To top it off, no one checked on us after the food was dropped--no "how is everything," no refill offers, nothing. Overall, the food, service, and atmosphere all missed the mark. I'd recommend skipping this spot and eating somewhere else if you can.

Their hot dogs remind me of the ones that my grandmother used to make when I was a kid. They are nothing extremely fancy--just sweet slaw and semi-meaty chili nestled on top of an all-beef weiner. This type of hot dog would definitely be a "hit" at any Church of God's Saturday morning bake sale. My granny was a church pianist, so I know this delightful taste particularly well! Their hot dogs are $2.25, so nothing astronomical about the price. They also do a special on two hot dogs and a milkshake. These are wholesome, delicious dogs that take you on a little stroll down memory lane.

I'm a sucker for biscuits, and the first time I saw a sign for Tudor's, I realized it was a chain, but I also knew I wanted to go there. I didn't realize that it was fast food, but I decided to try it anyhow. I was pleasantly surprised. I got the Ron -- a HUGE biscuit with egg, cheese and I think sausage. It was so big that it was hard for me to hold (not ideal while driving) but it was so good! I'm really glad I stopped -- and I wish we had it here!

Here in North Carolina we have to go to Biscuitville or Hardees and they aren't a fraction as good as any Tudors. As a former West Virginian this is one of my favorite WV restaurants and I always get breakfast here if I'm passing through. I also have sent dozens of friends to these restaurants over the years advising them to get the biscuit and sausage gravy which is on another level. My other favorite is a bacon egg and cheese biscuit. My most recent trip was when the National Harley Owner Group was in town for a rally. I talked a dozen people into skipping the low quality hotel breakfast and coming down to Tudors....and you know what they did??? They got breakfast here everyday for the remainder of the rally. Yeah, it's that good when you don't have good options like this back home. Service here was great. Food was made quickly and brought out to me. A lady walked around offering coffee refills and she gladly filled my tumbler to go. The vibe at Tudors is pretty much the same, just a basic small restaurant with easy to clean seats and tables.

**April 2025: Weekday Afternoon Visit**…read more My friend and I were in the area and wanted a quick lunch before we hit the road again. With the high reviews we thought we'd check out Swiftwater Cafe. The restaurant is located on the first floor of a large building complex (maybe apartments?), and there were many locals dinning in. The space looked very homey and the tables were lined with green and white checkered tablecloths. There's a big chalk board with breakfast and lunch items and my friend and I decided on the following: Lunch -Italian Grilled Cheese $8.06 - This was a fantastic vegetarian sandwich. There was a lot of flavor and it the texture of all the ingredients worked together. I would get this again. -Tomato Basil Soup $4.16 and Chili $4.16: Standard soups -Pepperoni Roll $4.16 - I was told that this was West Virginia's state food so naturally we had to try it out. It was tasty and I'm glad that this restaurant put in cheese, but I kind of wished there were a little bit more. -Chef Salad $9.88: This salad had a good assortment of ingredients and gave me the much needed vegetables that I had been lacking on this roadtrip. Service The host was very quick and polite. Patrons would pick up their orders at the counter when it's ready. Summary It was a nice local joint and I enjoyed all the outdoor photos around the cafeteria.

Food took a hot minute and that's fine, I appreciate the attention to my food. However, the hollandaise sauce is served from a "jug", the ham is thick and poached eggs were over.
