We landed on a company that built our sign out of sheet aluminum and they swore that it was sturdy and able to hang safely in the wind. Well, we put it up on a windy day and within 2 hours the wind ripped the sign down. A hanging aluminum sign is a BAD IDEA! We started over again. We had looked at J Dubs that first time, but we didn't know what we were really buying and didn't understand the differences. For our second round we went back to J Dubs we found out what a great sign company can do. We gave them a simple design idea (Irish font with the ranch name) and a smaller second sign with a horse on it. We sent them some pic ideas and left it to them. Their designer (no extra cost) sent some ideas and they far exceeded our ideas - that's what a great designed does. The signs are heavy powder coated steel. There are stiffening bars on the top of the big sign and the bottom of the small sign. They won't tear out! The work of the designer is gorgeous! Better than we could have ever imagined! Thanks J Dubs! If you're looking for a sign, start with J Dubs! Don't waste your time and money at other places!

Gary, the fellow behind the counter seemed very put-off that I was bothering him with a project. He strained himself to look up the prices of the parts and gave me an outlandish price for the project. I'm no math wiz, but his numbers just didn't add up. He stated 3 hours work at $80/hour, $170 for the mounts, $260 for the brush guard and some unknown amount for "modifying" the mounts. All tolled he popped off with a $3,000 bid on the project. Naturally, I was floored by his estimate. I state that a full custom bumper with a brush guard was only $1200 plus installation. Clearly, they did not want my money and gave me an outlandish price to scare me off. Screw 'em, there are a bunch more honest folks that will actually want to have work.

Their machine shop is where the numbers matching motor for my 65 was sent to be worked. It took months to get the motor and heads back from them and when it was put back together it only lasted 700 miles before their mistakes caused it to spin a bearing and have to be rebuilt again. So, it took multiple months again to get them to fix their mistakes at which point they thought they should be paid again even though they claim that their work is warrantied. Needless to say, they were not paid the second time even though they continued to insist on it. Both times the motor had issues using excessive oil, which we just figured out the cause. Not only did they screw up the block and the crank, but we just discovered that they botched their work on the heads as well. The oil consumption is coming from the valves. So, this time the heads are being sent to a quality shop as I refuse to give Carquest the chance to make this matter even worse. If you value your motor, don't let Carquest touch it!!
