It was easy to work with Kary during the entire project and her responses to my question were quick especially to my design changes. Also, their price fell somewhere in the middle of the 4 quotes I received and it came with a 2 year guarantee. When the project started, Martin walked me through what he and his team will be doing during the week. Once they got done, they cleaned everything nicely and walked me through to get my approval. They also built a built-in BBQ for me and ran the natural gas to the BBQ.  Before I hired them, I bid the job out to three different companies.  AZ Custom Landscapes was the most professional throughout that process, and the only company that gave me a detailed bid in only a couple of days (the others took much longer!) and the only that could do it all themselves. Martín and the rest of the workers were professional, respectful and hardworking.  They showed up when they were scheduled to, worked long days and always cleaned up the job site at the end of the day. They worked with me on fine-tuning some of the details of the job, and helped me with a few extras that weren't on the list! They are very thorough with inspections and straightforward about what needs to be done now, and what can wait. My roof was in decent shape, but it was unknown how long ago it had been recoated. One particular area needed extensive work and I could have ended there but I chose to have them recoat the entire thing for extra peace of mind- my point is they did not try scare tactics to upgrade the services. He was honest about being OK waiting on the rest. The communication was consistent, they arrived when they said they would. After the work was done they scheduled a follow up visit to reinspect, and address a couple things that needed touch-up. I will continue to recommend Camelback to anyone who needs a first or second opinion on their roof. If you have read this far, call them for an inspection. The company website states it is "licensed, insured, and bonded" and claims A+ ratings with the BBB, Yelp, and Angie's List. I checked the Arizona Registrar of Contractors, the BBB, Angie's, and Yelp, and could not find any records that match the company or Lonn H., who answers the listed phone number. The phone number directly connects to him, and he appears in several Google reviews; however, I was unable to verify any active contractor license for him in Arizona or registration of Stucco Repair Tucson. We halted the work because it was incomplete, rushed, and defective. We have subsequently hired other contractors to assess and repair the damage. We are also working to recover the funds he did not spend on materials. Always verify a contractor's license through the Arizona ROC before hiring, never pay more than the customary upfront amount, and get a written contract. If a company's website makes significant claims about licensing or awards, verify them with the issuing organization before making a hiring decision. Lesson learned and confirmation that people will go to extraordinary lengths to take advantage of others.
