Just returned from my first appointment. I waited 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment before asking how much longer I needed to wait. They informed me that the doctor (Chastain) was running an hour late and that there were still two people ahead of me. I understand that some delays are unavoidable but I suggested to the receptionist that maybe they should treat their patients' time with some respect and let them know of the delay. Saw Tucson ENT for worsening ear ringing. Instead of a real evaluation, the doctor shrugged it off and said "Do you want some Valium?" I had to ask twice just to get basic testing, and when I requested an MRI, I didn't hear back for a month. After that five-minute brush-off, they billed me $50 and sent me to collections. Dismissive, unprofessional, and not a place I'd recommend if you actually want care. read more

My medical procedure was canceled without notice either 1 or 2 days before it was scheduled to happen after I waited about a month for it. The reason I don't know when it was canceled is because a receptionist claims it was canceled on the 13th, but I talked to a scheduler about payment for it on the 14th. I went for an office visit to have wax removed in both ears I had a $75.00 copay. According to my insurance stating they change thr CPT code to a procedure and charged me $433.77 to have ears cleaned out. If I would of known they would charge me a procedure I would of used ear drops. The Dr was so rough he made my ears bleed. Very upsetting will never go there again. read more

Saw Dr. Robyn DeStefano and my god, was she rude. She gave off the vibe like she was better than my husband and I and like we were wasting her time by being there. She gave little to no explanation of anything going on with me, just stuck a camera down my nose and boom, was done. It was literally like she couldn't get us out of that room fast enough. The whole visit was under 10 minutes long. I had also called a couple days before my appointment to update my insurance and the women who answered the phone was extremely rude as well, had an attitude from the second she said hello to me. Also the office said I would be hearing back from them within a couple days, its been way longer than that and haven't heard anything back. I took my mom to an appointment this morning because she doesn't speak English and they didn't have a translator. We arrived 30min early and when they called us back it was still 15-20min before our appointment time , which I'm not complaining. What I did find extremely rude and very unsympathetic was when the physician kept rushing us into making decisions regarding my moms health and what steps to take next. She literally said to us , "so what are you guys gonna do cause I have other patients waiting" , as if the $250 that we spent on the visit wasn't worth 30min of her time or as if each test wasn't hundreds of dollars. i recently had tubes put into both of my ears. my left ear was working fine, but my left ear was hurting and constantly popping and draining. I called the office a few days after the surgery, unfortunately it took them several days to return my calls. I finally saw the doctor that performed the procedure, and he left a piece of cotton in my ear for nearly a week! truly embarrassing. as I am posting this my right ear still hurts and is still draining, whereas my left ear is perfectly fine. read more

So my 82 year old father has had Parkinson's for 20 years and it is quite difficult to get him out. We had an appointment with his regular doctor here, Dr Craven. We get there at the scheduled time only to be told our appointment had been cancelled because Dr Craven retired. No call, nothing. They did have us wait and a PA was able to see him but noticed something on his vocal cords and thought a doctor should look at it. We schedule a follow up appointment with Dr Hu. That appointment was yesterday at 1:45. We arrived at 1:30 and they brought us back at 1:45. We sat in the exam room for over an hour. I went out to tell them we would have to leave as my dad needed his Parkinson's meds. The doctor was standing in the hallway and said he had two more patients and the would be in. I told him we were leaving and that this was a complete lack of respect for his patients time. Had we waited, it would have been over two hours. So rude. I can see why this practice has such terrible ratings. We won't be darkening their doorstep again. read more

I was referred to Tucson ENT by a doctor at TMCOne. They called promptly, but weren't able to give me a "new patient" appointment for 3 months. The day before the appointment, they called to cancel, because the doctor had booked surgery for that day. The reason I'm giving them one star is because I understand the need to do surgery, which may be indeed an emergency, but why make the "new patient" wait another 3 months for a reschedule? I called to schedule an appointment with the Tucson ENT, and I was told by the person on the phone that their lawyer says that they only need to provide Reasonable accomodation, which in their interpretation means: either you bring your own interpreter or you write with the DR. Pros: The place is very clean. The staff is courteous. The waiting times were moderate and not excessive. The waiting rooms are very peaceful and sparse. Dr. Hu is a nervous gerbil but he seems quite competent and good at his job. Five stars. Cons: It took me FOUR MONTHS to schedule an appointment! There is a rather insulting sign warning patients that violent outbursts and behavior will not be tolerated. Are we in second grade? Are we in a Third World Country? Do they have a problem with violent patients? Is it warranted? One of the waiting rooms had a Mother Jones Magazine and AARP Magazine on the tables. These are extreme leftist organizations. My time is valuable to me. Therefore, if I have an appointment scheduled for 3:30pm, then I would like to be seen as close to that time as possible. There are circumstances that may prevent that, but there is no reason for it to be a full hour later. Once I am in that appointment, then I do not want to be rushed. Excellent service and experience. The wait was not too bad. All personnel were very pleasant and helpful. Dr. K is outstanding. They do not push you to take medications and appreciate natural treatments if you choose that method. I completed audiology test and ear exam. Explained the exam in full detail which is appreciated. They don't follow the hours listed on the allergy calendar. Got there with 5 minutes to spare since I work 8-430 pm daily and the girl was like "we close in 5 minutes" the doctors are on lunch. So you don't preach the hours you state listed for allergy shots. Waste of my time. Working in health care you have a grace period of 10-15 minutes for being late. I had 5 minutes and they are rude. Second visit at this location. Today I offered to wait outside since they have Nurse Ratchett for the check in desk. She refused to process my paperwork unless I put on a mask. Again, I was willing to wait outside until I was seen by the doctor, which is usually a long time...but not today. If they are going to force folks to wear a mask then I will go to another doctor. Also, don't bother waiting for 15-20 mins to speak to a rep-- leave a voice message and they will call you back immediately ( weird right?) Overall..... It's worth it. Told him I am not paying for today and wanted my copay refunded 3 weeks later less than half as they said there was an additional charge from my scratch test that they forgot to bill me for??? Horrible place to go. To many months out to wait for appointments. Finally I was able to get in earlier with me calling and contacting them several times. Nurse was amazingly wonderful. However, Dr. Hu was irritated and short with me from the moment he walked in. He took about 10 minutes or less to do a quick exam of me. Didn't even address my other health concerns that I was there for; handed me a business card and said "if you want a CT scan let me know". It was Bye Bye, That was it??????? I was so stressed out waiting for this appointment. Talk about UNPROFESSIONAL! This place should have a 'Drive Thru Exam" service with you sitting in your car. Once I was finally seen, it was 35 minutes of waiting and 5 minutes with the doctor that told me there was nothing they could do without a CT scan, which they can do in their office and would schedule another time for that.......A MONTH AND A HALF LATER. For that initial visit, they charged me over $350. 6 months later, I STILL have a sinus infection. I gave up and scheduled an appointment for a week later in Phoenix. Forget these people. read more

They don't even deserve 1 star! My daughter has a cochlear baha system, called them and made sure they were familiar with it and could help her with adjustments. Appointment was 5 months out, asked every single staff member if that particular Doctor was familiar with the baha system, every single one of them said Yes. After waiting over an hour to see the Doctor he had no idea what it was!! He asked me questions about it! Foolishly I made another appt with another Doctor they said worked with the Baja system, scheduled the appt back in November for an appt in April, here it is February and they just sent me a message saying the appt has been canceled, no explanation, and I could reschedule for September!! He was a pompous little man who had no idea of customer service . He told me I needed more test and he would set them up, which hasn't been done to date. I waited 2-4 months to see an ENT. Booking the appointment was the only thing that was a 5 star experience. Checking in for the appointment , the staff were very rude and not welcoming which is something to look for in a medical office. I saw Dr. Stratigoulias which was really friendly and explanatory. However, he immediately jumped to surgery. I don't really want to do surgery for a deviated septum (mild), so I asked for other options. He advised me to get allergy tested, I went to check out and it was booked. However, upon realizing what was involved I opted not to (they poke your skin no less than 20 times with different allergens and see how you react, painful). I opted to take an everywell test you can order online with a dimple poke and is way cheaper than what they were going to charge WITH INSURANCE. I called no less than 24 hours to cancel my allergy test appointment and left a voicemail. I was then called again to remind me of my appointment, however, I had already cancelled. I was then called a week later to ask to reschedule despite me leaving a voicemail and text/email stating I did not want to return as this office treats you as a number vs a person. Their online portal doesn't work either! read more

This place is horrible. I'm currently still waiting for my mother in law's appointment, which was supposed to be 1hr45min ago. Other patients are in the same boat or worse. The waiting room is tense with frustration. The reception people aren't interested, and in fact, it seems like they've all gone home at this point. Now they say that in the future, they won't be contacting patients for appointment reminders via phone. So what is my elderly mother in law supposed to do? She has no email or text messaging. So their solution is to call us. Ok, no problem. But if they do that, our phone number becomes the main contact number for all correspondence. WHAT? So she can't get her own health information called to her? I don't even get that. I stopped coming to TENT years ago for myself, and knowing that they're still this bad, I would never recommend them to anyone else. read more

I'm surprised by the bad reviews and actually felt compelled to leave a good review here after a great experience at Tucson ENT. I suppose the only bad thing is lack of appointment availability - I had to schedule a month out and by that point my issue had mostly resolved itself. Check-in was smooth and I didn't wait long once I arrived (btw, I arrived 10 minutes early for paperwork). The audiologist was kind and did a good job. Dr. Hu was also very kind and efficient, yet took the time to explain everything thoroughly. Office was clean and modern. read more

Dr. Chastain is a humble caring, talented surgeon and doctor. His assistant Becky is also wonderful and very helpful and compassionate. I began seeing Dr. Chastain years ago for chronic sinusitis, keep reading even if you have a different issue to get help for! Dr. Chastain used a variety of different treatments I never knew existed to get my pain and infections under control and improve my quality of life significantly. More recently during an office visit he discovered a growth on my thyroid with his bare hands! He then confirmed its presence and we later discovered it was cancer. Dr. Chastain performed surgery and removed my thyroid and several lymph nodes that were cancerous. Through the entire process he has been very compassionate and took his time always to answer my questions and fully explain everything to me in a way I understood. I require continued treatment but I am blessed to have been under Dr. Chastain's care. As far as I'm concerned he gave me at the very least more time alive with my 2 young children, which is priceless. I could go on and on but Dr. Chastain is a truly good man and doctor who is caring and takes the time to make sure his patients are taken care of. During a pre surgery appointment he drew out a diagram of exactly what he would do during surgery and stayed until about 6 o clock in the evening answering my questions. If your child needs a lip or tongue revision, go to a preferred provider!!! I've talked to many parents that had incomplete procedures by Dr. Parry, many complaints!!!. I ended up having to drive up to Phoenix to find a specialist to fix her lip and tongue. Dr. Parry ended up causing scar tissue on her tongue because he seems unfamiliar how to revise a posterior tongue tie and made random nicks on her tongue :( the lafter care instructions was also appalling! No print out or details. Just push back wound before ever feed for 2 weeks. When I asked about pain management options He even said "I don't care about what pain reliever option you use, all I care about is scaring." You should actually do stretches for 6 weeks! When I called Dr. Agarwal I was immediately emailed with information, videos, resources, what a change! I also felt uncomfortable when he came back into the room without the nurse and wipes the blood off my breast without asking. Apparently the sight of blood on my breast from nursing right after the procedure was going to "drive me (him) crazy". He could have simply asked me to wipe it so he could see if she was still bleeding. You need to ask! read more
