The school strongly emphasizes academics and kids are given letter/percentage grades like high schools do. Yes there's pressure but nothing we can't handle so far. My complaints: 1. De-prioritization of physical activity. You have to put your child in an after school club (more money) for dance, bowling, and other movement-based activities. I had the opportunity to volunteer to help with hot lunch once. I learned a lot. Like just how short lunch is; it explained why my daughter was hungry but had uneaten food in her lunch last semester. Volunteering has opened my eyes and I started packing her lunches a little differently 2. It's a charter school so they have to raise money. However, the fundraiser updates in the app are ridiculous. Class vs class, grade vs grade. Everyone hurry and donate before the deadline...use the AZ tax credit...oh the deadline has been extended so you can donate more (no surprise) None of the issues I mentioned are major to me. Why? Because my kindergartener is reading, can read digital and analog clocks, she can add double-digit numbers, etc but her friends who are in 1st and 2nd grade in TUSD schools aren't there yet. At the beginning of the school year, my grandmother passed away, and during that horrible time I asked for support to help keep my son on track with his assignments. I was told to rely on his communication notebook, but felt that wasn't enough given the circumstances. Near the end of the final trimester, I was informed that my son was at risk of failing math. I was frustrated because this was the first time I had been made aware that he was struggling. I was told there had not been any concerns before then and that he should begin attending student hours. Earlier communication (in addition to seeing some poor grades in cj which only suggested that we implement new study habits) would have allowed us to address the issue before it became so serious. Parent teacher conferences were unhelpful. Unfortunately, attending student hours was also challenging. If a student arrives even a FEW minutes late, they are not permitted to join because it would "disrupt" the ongoing session. The morning drop-off procedures can be difficult to navigate, as the gates are opened on a very strict schedule. On one occasion, I had to park and walk my son into school before 7:30 a.m., and by the time we reached student hours we were only a couple of minutes late. He was not allowed to attend. Ironically, had it been 7:31 a.m., I could have used the drive-through drop-off instead but would have been late to student hours. There were also several school policies that made the experience more difficult for our family. Students were not allowed to play tag on the playground, school lunches were not provided, and the after-school program was very costly even with scholarship.

I just feel that not all disability is a disability, and that it may just be the way the world looks at it. Chapel Haven West was not a bad place, it's the medical system that I don't like. I may have some disagreements or even feel that they don't understand. I realize that it takes a certain kind of awareness to understand. I still learned a lot about my self. I felt pretty different. I was older and there was a lot of immaturity. It was a fun adventure.

Wrong, anyone who wants to take classes here can actually do, whether you're a base ID holder or just a common citizen. All you have to do is provide them your information or whichever it is they needed from you. You can do all this and get some information at the welcome center at craycroft gate. The classes they have here are mostly nights which works out perfectly with your schedule. They also offer accelerated classes (classroom and online) ranging from 8-16 weeks class period. The professors i had so far are very well informed, nice; and class to teacher ratio is superb, which is a plus for me. This facility can also assure you that by the end of the day the car you left on the parking lot with the widows down will still be there ^_^ *awesomeness*

He rarely was upset with drop offs but when he was the teachers did a great job redirecting him and providing him love. My son also made some great friends at the Sandbox that have been a strong foundation to his confidence and happiness and I owe this to the wonderful teachers and staff at the Sandbox Early Learning Center. Then another teacher left and they stopped posting pictures and videos to the app daily which they were doing and it was great. I'm not sure about the other classes but we went through a couple teachers. They have a big playground my child loved to play on. A lot of toys. Art class. Science class. They had a lot of fun stuff to do there. The have fun extra things on some weekends. They also worked with the school district to get my child eval for an IEP. At the end of the day I went there after a week vacation and my child no longer had the same teacher again. So I didn't really know the new teacher at all. The guy working on the playground was also new and other new staff I just took that opportunity to just take my child out. I also wanted to mention I posted a review previously here when my daughter was still going here and just mentioning a "few small complaints but over all that I loved this place." And 3 stars. It was followed by the Risa in the front office calling me and screaming at me for about 20 minutes. Followed by nagging from other staff to take the review down. Also my complaint was about like basically all my child's teachers leaving. Obviously left a bad taste in my mouth. And the fact that my name isn't even on here and neither is my child's. The call was a bit surprising. But also eye opening.

Our interaction with Amy Dushinski, the nurse practitioner and their highest-level provider, was deeply unsettling. It appeared her eyes were dilated, and she seemed paranoid, agitated, and defensive--behavior that made us question whether she was in the right frame of mind to help others. Amy couldn't explain why I was being denied services. She denied that they offer LGBTQ care, even though it is explicitly stated in their brochure. I apologized to my partner for taking off work and wasting their time, because we have to take off a lot of days off for doctors appointments due to disability. Amy became hostile, inserting herself into our conversation. She even threatened to withhold my medication if I kept advocating for myself. When I asked Amy for her business card, she got really aggravated and upset. I wanted to file a complaint against her. When I called a week later to file a complaint, the receptionist shockingly redirected me to Amy, who immediately hung up on me. This clinic is neither LGBTQ-friendly nor professional. Their highest-level provider is a nurse practitioner (Amy), not a psychiatrist or psychologist. Doctors with advanced degrees have far more education, training, and expertise to address mental health needs. Avoid this clinic at all costs.

Took over 30 minutes to schedule my intake appointment, where the representative who helped me tried to schedule me with a counselor who specializes in menopausal women. I'm in my 20's. That makes no sense. I was also told that they had appointments after 5 PM available, which was very important to me. I was told this when I scheduled this intake appointment. After my intake appointment, the social worker who did this visit told me that they don't do appointments after 5 PM. If I would've known that, they don't do appointments after 5 PM, I would've never scheduled the intake and wasted my time and my money.
