Don't waste your money! Started my special-ed 8 year old daughter in beginner tumble class. The…read morebeginner class trained for months leading up to the "Showcase" performance only to be left with a HUGE disappointment. 95% of the children in the showcase were age 5-9 and 5% were 15-18 years old. My daughter was the only beginner placed with the top level experienced teenage performers because the title of the class was "Tumble" and the teenagers were "Tumble 90." Accuracy is accepting that she trained in beginner group and was placed in advance group for the performance. Talk about being made to feel demoralized by all the work she put in. She did do great as a beginner, that is not the point. Your website describes this advanced class well, as attached photo. She enjoyed watching the performers throughout the night but "great time" is fabrication and words that did not come out of my mouth. Hence this review. When we got home she asked why she was with the big kids whom had special dances and none of the kids that were in her class? She was made to feel shame even though she could not express through words how she was made to feel a way on performance day. I pulled management aside immediately after because it was a hugely obvious the disparity why they couldn't figure out a way to put her with all the other beginners, this is where she trained. Why don't we put 8 year olds in a high school basketballl game? Having to explain this situation and advocating for my child, followed with a response, that as a parent I am projecting on a manner of simple right vs. wrong, is a complete joke. Also, tickets for the family to attend needed to be purchased in advance, which we did. Tickets were not collected at the door and many families were let in the door without a ticket as speaking to and witnessing them walk through the door. My child slipped through the cracks when teachers made assignments for this performance day. Every beginner was with beginner groups. I am the ONLY complaint because my daughter was the ONLY beginner with the advance group. When addressed with the owner, unremorsefully replied "she grew up as a gymnast whom performed with older girls." Completely missed the point of SKILL LEVEL on a showcase day. I will never let my daughter to feel this way and take my $1500/year tuition elsewhere. I post this so future parents can be aware of the many hours spent of beginner practice prior to the showcase, to then have them thrown in a random slot for performance day. Please save your money and go to a gym whom can structure their teaching and classes to meet your child's needs for performance day!

We tried for months on end to get the owner to resolve these billing issues. But, to no avail. She billed us for the days we didn't have the girls, and refused to correct charges when we brought them to her attention. Besides refusing to get her bills right, she was curt, rude and disrespectful to the point where we finally decided to take our business elsewhere. We found her to be completely unprofessional - I would seriously consider finding another barn and trainer who seems to actually cares about her customers.

They had a section of bunny rabbits, chickens, ducks, mini horses, sheep and goats to pet and feed- toddler loved this part. Hours are from 7-11am then 4-6 pm during the winter months. Shocked to see this place was not on TripAdvisor's top things to do with toddlers while in Tucson...would highly recommend.

When snowbirds are here you can't really get into classes ( most are great) unless you set alarms for yourself and sign up a couple of days ahead. The place skews older and I although there are high school kids there in the afternoons it's not age diverse. Plus side is it's very forgiving and a great place to start weight lifting and more. There are paid programs for that and I think that would be worth it. I belong to a few other places so it's not a problem. I really like yin yoga there and trx . If this is going to be your main place you will be frustrated.

I discovered the Tucson Jewish Community Center after they hosted the Hot Cocoa Run 5K (hands down one of the funnest, most vendor-packed races I've ever done ), and let me tell you--walking into the JCC feels like stepping into a whole other world. This place is HUGE and has everything.They gifted a week pass in our swag bags from 5k and I fully leaned in--and I'm so glad I did. First off, the community + programming here is next level. I got to participate in pottery and ceramics classes (SO fun and surprisingly legit), and I love that they partner with local creatives and groups. It gives the whole place a collab, community-driven feel that I'm always looking for. On the fitness side--they're not playing around. I took multiple classes, and their cycle class (aka performance ride ) was actually really solid. Great energy, great programming. I also hit a strength-based class that delivered, and the gym floor itself is super clean, spacious, and not overcrowded (major win). The crowd is also refreshingly diverse in age, which I loved--it truly feels inclusive. And can we talk about the Cafe at the J... because YES. Tons of vegan options , actually flavorful, and super affordable. Not your typical "gym cafe" situation at all. Beyond that, this place is basically a mini campus--tennis, pools, art spaces, events, rentals, and even traditional Jewish baked goods (fresh bread, hello ). They also host a TON of events--like so many it's hard to keep up--so definitely check their calendar because there's always something happening. Overall, I'd absolutely go back. If I could I'd give this place 0 stars. The front office and deck staff are rude. The instructors…read moreare inconsistent with their discipline and instructions to the children. My son is young and has a tendency to not listen. He is a quick learner but easily gets bored and wants to entertain himself. I've tried working with the staff and to communicate with them, which always got dismissed. In the beginning we had a variety of different instructors due to changes in staff or make ups. One instructor would kick my son out of class because he would go under water and play while the instructor was with other children. Others would scold him or ignore him and not provide him the same attention and instructions as the other children. Which causes unsafe conditions for my child. There was one incident where we intervened and pulled my son from class because he was not listening and the instructor was clearly overwhelmed. We recognized that our son's disruptive behavior was not ideal for the other students. The school reported us to DCS for child abuse. Parents shouldn't walk into this place in fear of being falsely reported for child abuse. My son doesn't listen. We left it to the instructors to correct and when one instructor was having a very hard time with him we intervened and pulled him from class. Somehow that counts has child abuse because we pulled him by his arm out of the pool as he tried to go under water. This place is a joke. Don't come here if you want your child to learn how to swim.

One of the best things I did in 2017 is starting to take aerial silks classes at the Circus Academy…read moreof Tucson. I had my eye on taking classes for the last few years and after a few friends expressed interest, we took the leap and started what has been a very fun (and strengthening) journey so far. I started taking beginner silks in October of this year and I typically go about once a week. Katherine is a great instructor. She is patient and encouraging and even when I think I can't do something, she keeps me going. In addition to Katherine, there are typically a few advanced students at each class and they are also very helpful. The academy is a welcoming environment and I highly encourage anyone who is interested in circus arts to pop in for a class. Oh, and of course it's a great workout too!
