When we started, I said that…read moreI would be there for the first day, but was told that this was not allowed, which was a red flag to me. Most facilities have an open door policy. To me, if a parent is not allowed on site, it's an indication that things are not above board. My child also had such a difficult time transitioning that I could hear them screaming on the other side of the building. But while things were still brand new, we tried to wait it out. They did not improve. One day when I walked past a classroom, I heard a teacher telling a child that they had made God sad because they weren't listening to her. I emailed the director the same day because I found that to be very inappropriate. I never heard back from her. There were just too many red flags. We pulled our child and never looked back.

They let me volunteer in the classroom, they made sure I had my background check and fingerprints before I could start helping. I appreciated that they didn't let just anyone in the classroom, interacting with children (who at times may be in a CPS related situation and security is a priority). The Director is the sweetest southern lady you will ever meet and treats every child like they are her grand-babies. I loved it there. My kids were well prepared for elementary school, we've even received compliments on how well prepared they were.

Their respect for kids and the expectations of self-motivation and community responsibility are game-changing. We have been an Outer limits family for almost two years and loved this facility when we first…read morestarted. Now under the new director and assistant directors' leadership, our feelings towards this daycare have changed. Outer Limits used to be a warm welcoming place with caring teachers (which they still have) where someone was always at the front desk to greet you and knew you and your children by name. Now, it is quite the opposite. Not only do they not prioritize knowing your name, there is almost always an empty front desk when parents arrive, especially in the mornings. Safety has also been an issue recently as a result of this new management. For example, we had a family member do pick-up/drop-off for four days and hardly ever saw anyone, and when they did, they were never questioned who they were, who they were there to pickup, or ever asked for identification. The management is distant and aloof of who is coming in or out. Over the past few months, there has been a large amount of staff turnover and it's became very apparent as many of these staff members had been there for years. People talk and the talk is, the staff turnover is directly related to poor management. My family as well as many other families, have left because of the new management's lack of initiation, implementation and overall feeling of caring. Their lack of continuing/creating a welcoming and safe daycare is unacceptable. I decided to give the two weeks notice for withdrawing my child, because I was unhappy with all of the changes. Three days after I gave my notice, I received a call after business hours stating that my child was biting and was not allowed to come back for the rest of the week. On this very day, when I picked my child, the assistant director never addressed this issue, in fact it was one of the rare times a goodbye and a goodnight was offered. I attempted to call back within minutes, though no answer, and was unable to leave a voicemail because the mailbox was full. This is the type of unprofessionalism and poor communication, which is now a common occurrence at Outer Limits. We've had another child attend Outer Limits that aged out, and we loved our experience with previous management and staff. But unfortunately now, the atmosphere and how it is managed is far below any parent's expectations or tolerance.

The last straw was when the teacher allowed three kids to assault my very young grandchild in a way that is so disgusting I can't post it here. I had six kids and they all went to daycare and never did anything like this happen to them. The teacher had the attitude of "they're just kids" but we reported the main kid who was the problem and who constantly harms other kids several times and. They did nothing to protect the kids from this abusive child. They should be closed down for neglect and child endangerment. I feel sorry for the other kids who have likely been assaulted there. Do not take your kids here if you value the safety of your children.

We've been going here for over a year, Dr. Fil and the teachers feel like an extension of our family. When my father in law was sick, Dr. Fil had my sons class make him a get well card.
