The kids pizza had a very crispy and bubbly crust, with a good amount of chair from the pizza oven. We also ordered pizza logs, and boneless barbecue chicken wings. The children seemed to really enjoy their meals. My husband ordered the Tuscan salad, which was a very nice bowl of fresh crisp lettuce and vegetables with thick slices of fresh mozzarella seasoned croutons. These days many people are afraid to order lettuce due to some ongoing nationwide recall. But we're in an area of the nation that has not seen any illness from lettuce consumption. I ordered the more mundane Samplers Platter which was an array of deep fried appetizers. It's not typical for me to order this, but I was only mildly hungry for chicken tenders. I took home my pizza logs chicken wings, and french fried onion rings. The quantity of the food was more than we could eat, so much of the meal went home with us.

First, the look of the pizzeria has improved greatly. From a fresh paint job inside and out, to new windows in the front, to a re-do of the layout, the place looks refreshed and inviting. There are two tables for eating in. There are some difference with the new owners. We wanted a small pizza, but they were sold out (because the demand from the first two days of being open again was so great). We were thinking small and large pizzas would be the same size as before, but the large pizza we got was a 16" diam., as opposed to the old 12". We also ordered an order of wings (10, the same as before), and asked for medium sauce on the side. The pizza sauce was sweeter than the former owners', so those who like the sweeter sauce that most Western New York pizzerias offer will enjoy that. We prefer a less sweet sauce, but this sauce was fine. We asked for light sauce, and there was still plenty of sauce. The pepperoni is now smaller, more "cup" pepperoni, but not as small as most that is offered in the region. The sweet peppers were pre-cooked before being cooked on the pizza, which is okay, but we prefer ours to be uncooked before being put on pizza. The dough was slightly thicker than before, and seemed tough when cutting slices, but it didn't chew tough. The pepperoni and peppers were generous. The cost was higher than before, but considering it is a larger pizza and probably chicken prices have increased dramatically in the period they've been closed, $46.10 probably wasn't out of line. We will certainly be back for more, and intend on trying much of their menu. It is good to have a local pizzeria once again.

I asked for the Caesar salad and when it sat down, it was a kale Caesar salad. I don't eat kale but our server took care of it. The restaurant has a great vibe and very friendly. The food was excellent they've got real chefs and the staff and prices were fantastic. The building itself is super cool too I loved the pictures and decoration all over and the history of this 1850s building. We really enjoyed it and I'd come back here any time for sure!
