Clean water, friendly staff, gets busy but never too crowded, lots of options for hanging out in the water, lots of parking, great music playing, extremely alert lifeguards, clean restrooms and over-all the best private pool I have ever been to. The only negative is the SLOW SLOW check-in if you are sponsoring guests.

Don't come to this pool later in the afternoons hoping to get a decent lap swimming experience! The…read morelap pool lanes are taken over by non-swimmers, walking, talking & splashing about. Staff does not manage the lap pool. There's an adjacent rec pool which these patrons should be channeled to. This doesn't happen. Also be aware that their deck clock is 4-5 minutes ahead of time & you will be asked to get out earlier than the actual time. This clock was also running ahead of time last summer. I guess they like it like this. The water is VERY warm.

There are quite a number of things to do at Buffalo Springs Lake. You can go boating or camping,…read moreride an ATV, have a picnic or grill some steaks. Tip: There's an admission fee here, so be sure to get your money's worth when you visit Allegedly there are trails for mountain biking here, but there are so many people riding ATVs on those same trails that I wouldn't take the risk of riding a bike. That said, if you've got a road pike, riding it on the paved road should be fine.

Everybody in the area knows buffalo springs lake, just ask around! Came here with a friend of mine for Memorial Day weekend a few years ago. I think they charge you an admission fee but I don't remember how much. It was super hot so I don't recall what we actually did there. My friend and I got some drinks at a bar. She had one frozen margarita then passed out, lol! Oh, the Asians! We did drive around and saw some interesting houses. Overall it's pretty lame just like LBK itself. My friend is from Hawaii and I came from Florida. Just picture our facial expressions when we saw this tiny amount of water. BUT It's still a lake, man made or not. Therefore a three star.

This area is also home to MacKenzie Park Lake. Watching the water birds on the partially frozen water was both soothing and amusing on Christmas Day (2022). There were multiple benches, picnic areas, a playground, reserved picnic pavilions, restrooms, and a seasonal snack concession area. Entry was free at least during the winter. There was close access to Interstate 27. On the days my daughters & I visited, it was hard to tell if RVs & truck drivers would find this to be an easy pit stop to access as there were road closures due to a sewer renovation project.

Wow!!! I'm visiting Lubbock for the Birthday Party my niece was having here and I couldn't be more…read moreimpressed by this place. My niece and nephew have been coming here for swim lessons (since toddler age) and gymnastics and my brother and parents have been raving since day one. It's clean, spacious, and the staff and coaches truly could not be more friendly and attentive. This party was for a 4 year old with about 13 children in attendance and their parents, plus family. Scottie and Laney were on it-super helpful with any and everything and were great with the kids. Every adult in attendance commented on their friendly professionalism. I don't have children of my own, but if the love my niece and nephew have for this place says anything, it must be great (I mean, the 4 year old wanted her party here)! If you're in search for a place for lessons for your children or a party place for kids, this was a great deal with the upmost friendly staff.

My kid went from moving his arms to basically doing less than he was doing before. They have him swim while other students swim, when he's not a strong swimmer, which is very dangerous. No one knows what is going on. The swim lessons never start on time or end at the right time. Every time I ask the manager they give me an answer and nothing ever changes . The owner needs to seriously make some changes before they loose more customers.
