Wow!!! I'm visiting Lubbock for the Birthday Party my niece was having here and I couldn't be more impressed by this place. My niece and nephew have been coming here for swim lessons (since toddler age) and gymnastics and my brother and parents have been raving since day one. It's clean, spacious, and the staff and coaches truly could not be more friendly and attentive. This party was for a 4 year old with about 13 children in attendance and their parents, plus family. Scottie and Laney were on it-super helpful with any and everything and were great with the kids. Every adult in attendance commented on their friendly professionalism. I don't have children of my own, but if the love my niece and nephew have for this place says anything, it must be great (I mean, the 4 year old wanted her party here)! If you're in search for a place for lessons for your children or a party place for kids, this was a great deal with the upmost friendly staff. read more

Took my kid here and was the worst experience I've ever had. The swim program is very unprofessional. The instructors look overwhelmed and confused while teaching. My kid went from moving his arms to basically doing less than he was doing before. They have him swim while other students swim, when he's not a strong swimmer, which is very dangerous. No one knows what is going on. The swim lessons never start on time or end at the right time. Every time I ask the manager they give me an answer and nothing ever changes . The owner needs to seriously make some changes before they loose more customers. read more

Our family has been to several gyms in town and my kids just seemed stuck at their current skill level. Tega is very hands on and gives actual feedback to their students. However, I have to say the owner is not very friendly. I have asked questions a couple of different times and she has yet to make eye contact with me. She just stares at the computer and continues whatever she is looking at. She makes me feel like I am annoying her and interrupting her work. I will literally stand at the desk for several minutes before she even acknowledges my presence. The rest of the staff is very nice, helpful, and informative. read more

We join the 2weeks swimming lesson. Classes are only 30 minutes long, but they start later and end earlier than they are supposed to. the teacher doesn't smile. I can't recommend. read more

Its listed under school, but it is actually a gymnastics gym and parents day out place (I think). We have been taking our now 3 year old since she was 18 months to participate in weekly gymnastics. There is nothing cuter then a two year old walking on a balance beam. The staff here has always been friendly and patient with the kiddos; working closely with them on harder things and cheering them when they succeed. I know nothing about gymnastic (except that the Chinese team apparently cheats) so I don't know if I'm qualified to comment on the things inside. It seems nice enough though. The only negative I have is that they only have a few swamp coolers suspended from the ceiling in the corners. It gets damn hot in here and a humid breeze doesn't help much. I would suggest that you schedule your kids classes very early, or very late, when it cools a bit. read more

My family LOVES TEGA. I have three kids on the competitive teams, and I cannot say enough good things. The coaches are excellent and qualified. They don't just care about gymnastics...they care about my kids, they care about my family. The growth in my kids has been incredible...they have all the support and encouragement they need to keep pushing, keep training for the next skill and next level. The new facilities are gorgeous. The owners are friendly, kind, and hands-on. There has never been a minute we have ever worried about our kids here, and we spend a LOT of time at the gym. After talking to the Director about my special needs child, she assured me that they are great at dealing with "lots of energy" children. So me overjoyed to find a place where my autistic/ ADHD son could thrive signed him right up and payed the huge starting fees. Two and a half days after he started they have asked him not to come back. He came home crying everyday saying his teachers were mean to him, and would not let him swim (which is part of the exorbitant price). I was lied to and my child was hurt in the process. Yeah he has some active behavior, but he is 5 and has issues that I discussed with them previously!! I would never recommend this place to anyone. read more

I enrolled my 2YO in the Kids Day Out for 2 weeks in the summer. I love the themed week activities - Superhero Week brought lots of masks, capes, and tutus into the house! While Sports Week brought Red Raider gear! The teachers look a little overwhelmed but who wouldn't with a crowd of toddlers tugging you at every step. The big plus is the gymnastics activity and swim activity that is done everyday. You are definitely getting your money's worth! read more

My three year old loves this place, this is the best daycare I have seen in Lubbock. Some people in the area think its expensive but its actually cheap if you compare it to other states and cities especially for what you get gymnastics and swimming for $560 a month, try that in CA,WA,NY,MA etc you will not get these services for anything less than one thousand a month and up. One of kids goes there and frequently told that the teacher is mean. I have listened to the child and now I believe this little one. I was there one day when a women who was in charge was extremely rude to me. As with any childcare business, they treat you well when they see you come in but when you are not there the kids can be treated very poorly. This child is not one to carelessly accuse someone unless it is true. I don't believe these are the kindest people from the experience I have had with them. read more

TEGA Kids Superplex really seems to genuinely care for the kids. The staff is friendly, upbeat, and caring. My son loves going to the preschool program, and asks to go on weekends. The teachers are young, but their youthfulness pays off as they are greatly involved and engaged with the students, rather than standing and watching. I love that my son gets gymnastics and music and movement included with the preschool program and we are excited to be going on montly field trips now that he is three. We are very excited to hear that TEGA will be fully air conditioned within a week or so! read more

I took my 4 year old and my 2 year old here for the kids day out summer classes and my son has a severe peanut allergy. Every single staff member is very nice and helpful, I've never had issues with them. However, they often lose our belongings, even though I write my kids' names on everything. They assure me they know how to handle food allergies and have several kids with them. However, I still had to take my son to urgent care right after picking him up on his second day. They are not willing to make the class rooms peanut free, so we had to pull him from the rest of the days scheduled. We are very disappointed because he really liked it there. On the other hand, my daughters gymnastics is going great. I would like to see new mats and a safer set up in the gym. There are several safety risks in there and most of the mats are split. They are getting an ac unit in there soon, that will take care of the heat problem. read more
