Let me start by saying this is a horribly, unprofessional and unethical place to work. As for the dated glowing review by Thomas D., he is a recruiter for an employment agency. He is paid based upon bringing applicants to the attention of perspective employers. Basically someone who has limited or no knowledge of what its like to work at TTC. I would've given this place zero stars but sadly that is not an option. TTC is the type of business you work at if you have ABSOLUTELY NO OTHER OPTIONS! There are a myriad things wrong with this place but I'll speak on the more prominent of them.
TTC ethics, or should i say lack of ethics are on full display at all times. Your job, should you choose to accept it is to con, yes i said con, people who mistakenly clicked on pop-up ads online who are looking for jobs, or who think they've won a $5,000 gift card into signing up for online school with unaccredited clown colleges. When someone you're speaking to tells you: "hey, I'm not looking to go to school, I'm looking for a job" You're tasked with convincing them that instead of the whole job thing, what they really need is to look into one of these schools. You will spend your day selling dreams to the destitute.
Management consist of the most ignorant and abrasive people you could imagine who have no real management, or for that matter even basic people skills(Sharon). This includes the "owners" of TTC who although are onsite daily choose to ignore the many systemic problems plaguing their company. I used quotes because the owners are in fact not the owners anymore. While meeting with all the employees of TTC, the then owners announced that they would be merging with Ameridial. Ameridial, a much larger more successful tele-sales company consolidated TTC and now owns controlling interest in this pathetic failing business. New ownership may sound like an improvement over the previous with the exception of a few things, Ameridial specializes in out sourcing jobs to India, China, And the Philippines. Ameridial even won the Outsource Contact Center Provider of the Year Award, an award only given to companies that excel at erasing American jobs. Not even a full business week went by before dozens of terminations were made, during this time the previous owners who are now president and vice president of this location decided to remodel their offices.
There are no workplace standards outside or inside the building. Before the exit of the previous owners, they decided to fire the cleaning staff, which means that the feces, used tampons and sanitary pads that are deposited daily on to restroom toilet seats, sinks, floors, walls, trash bins, and whatever else, remain there until.....well i guess it just remains. Even if you find it acceptable to have to leave your job to use the much cleaner Burger King bathroom two blocks away, nobody should have to work in a place that's infested with cockroaches, bedbugs, and numerous other pest which can all be found crawling around your desk and work space at any given time.
Lastly, and could have been included with ethics, but this is the definition of high turn-over rate. TTC retains less than 10% of its yearly hires. Even the handful of people that have been there for years have no sense of job security. This is illustrated best through the story of a supervisor who has worked for TTC for close to two decades. During those years this person slowly was promoted, obtained several titles within the company, dramatically increased responsibilities, and a pay increase. This employee along with at least ten others were rewarded with being striped down to the lowest possible position and entry position pay within the company. Really, after all those years?
In short, as the first line reads: ONLY A JOB FOR THOSE WHO ABSOLUTELY HAVE NO OTHER OPTION! or if you're 18 and fresh out of high school only looking for something that will pay you enough to support your weed and or alcohol habit, which if you don't already have, you will surely develop while working at this wretched soul devouring place. read more
