I called to see if I could make an appointment. I was asked if I had Medicare. I answered, "I do." I was informed that, "We are not taking Medicare patients right now."
When I talked to my husband, he told me, "Our vision insurance is not Medicare. It is Premier Vision." When I called back to tell her we did not have Medicare vision insurance, there was a different person who answered the phone. Something about her conversation alerted the person I had had talked to previously and she gave the person I was talking to the answer for me, "We do not take Medicare."
I do not understand. Do they just not want to deal with older people? Does Medicare vision insurance not pay? Is Premier Vision a Medicare insurance? I understand being busy in an office setting. But, I felt very brushed off without a good explanation.
By the way, we can pay for our visits WITHOUT insurance. Not happy at all! read more
