Very attentive staff and authentic Greek food. The blue eyed cod was delicate and the slow cook in a pot lamb was cooked just right. I'm glad I was able to order the last one. The Peno really set the meal off in the right direction.

I totally loved Tsindos!!!!! My husband and son both ordered the chicken and lamb plates - you could order a full or half. Lots of delicious meat and a wonderful tzatziki sauce. I nibbled on their dishes because I ordered a side of feta. The feta in Australia is just fabulous! I don't know what they do to make it so darn delicious! The order was literally a full square of feta and I ate half of it (guilty pleasure) and they packed the rest to go so I had it in my hotel fridge for the rest of my Australia visit. The menu had plenty to choose from and everything we tried was amazing! Very authentic Greek spot in Melbourne.

Five star! Great food (especially the tzatziki) and local musicians were a bonus.

From the moment I walked up, not in the door mind you, but while still outside, I received a warm smile and 'hello'. Apu welcomed me in, realized I was by myself, and offered me a choice of seats though they were busy and space was a premium. Service was excellent! I mentioned Apu, but three...THREE people tastefully checked on me to ensure I had any questions to answer, was comfortable, stopped to just ask about me, or check on food. Never any pressure to hurry up and move along. Then there was the manager, don't remember his name but will remember the red sweater and great personality! Super helpful in helping to get the perfect selection so I had the best possible experience eating. My seat selection was at the top of the stairs, right at a small table where I could see all, and just absorb the environment. One of the cooks even set things down, and made it a point to check in and say hello. Not expected! I just wish it hadn't been my last dinner in town as I would have gone back again. Next time! I had the Calamari w/salad, Mussels, and Pannacotta to try. All were great, perfectly cooked, and then add in the service I mentioned, and it added up to be the best meal yet. Told my office mates who live in Melbourne about it so they could enjoy also! Just Wow!

Thankfully I was able to get a table outside (great area for people watching!) I started with the sambal ray and a glass of champagne. The ray was really good and the champagne wasn't bad for just the house option. For the main course I got the seafood claypot and some of the chili bread for dipping as well as a glass of chardonnay. First, the bad part, the main came out less than a minute after my appetizer. I was mildly annoyed by this, but in the end it wasn't a huge deal since the clay pot kept it piping hot until I was ready to eat it anyway. The bread, couscous, seafood and broth were all really good. I did my best to soak up all of the broth with my bread and in the end I had no chance at finishing the huge helping of couscous. All in all it was a really good meal and I would definitely go back.

Food came quickly at the start but then they lost one of our later order submissions so we waited ages for the last batch. If you are on a time constraint (damn you, work!), I would advise to order as much as possible in one go. I must say, this is the first opportunity I've had in Australia to indulge in all you can eat salmon sashimi, so naturally I went nuts and binge ate my way through these beauties. A few of them didn't have the fat completely trimmed off, but overall they were pretty decent quality. I thought the prawn dumplings were hella good, they were freshly steamed and hot (nobody likes warm dumplings!) and on par with my fave yum cha restaurant. The scallops (which were on the 'specials' menu), were special indeed, prepared a bit differently to what I've seen before, and garnished with sliced chilli, definitely worth getting a plate of these. Their grilled eggplant was cooked in a sweet miso sauce (I think?), very soft and tasty. That rounds off my top 4. Dessert options consisted of either sweet red bean soup (not bad) or seasonal fruit. Order both, just coz you can! I was quite impressed with the wide selection of different types of Asian cuisine available. The dining experience was more like a banquet, as they offer a sit down table service and bring the food to you, which is not common for buffets but definitely should be, from a hygiene perspective. FYI they do have chopsticks, but you have to ask for them. Come prepared with a huge appetite, and you will enjoy it here!
