He was very helpful. Answered all my questions and showed me products. That were pretty cool that I wasn't even aware of. He was very patient with me as well. Overall everyone in the store is nice. There was no wait time and everybody was knowledgeable of the products I will stop here in the future if I needed anything.

I bought my first Apple laptop in 2003 while I was in college studying photography, waited in line for the original iPhone in 2007, purchased a 27" iMac from this very store in 2009, and have since purchased countless iPhones, iPads, AirPods, Macs, and other Apple products for both myself and my family. Until this weekend, my experiences with Apple had consistently been excellent. I walked into the King of Prussia Apple Store fully intending to purchase a new 14" MacBook Pro. I already knew exactly which configuration I wanted and only had one question before buying. The first employee I spoke with seemed largely uninterested. After briefly answering my question, he suggested I come back because I didn't have the 2019 MacBook I was replacing with me. Fair enough. About 45 minutes later, I returned, ready to purchase the computer. Unfortunately, the second interaction was much worse. The employee I approached barely acknowledged me, avoided eye contact throughout the conversation, and seemed far more interested in looking around the store than helping the customer standing directly in front of him. His instructions were simply to "wait at the table" and that it "could be 20 minutes or longer." When I asked if there was a waiting list or if he could take my name, he said they don't do that. I even asked whether I could place the order online for in-store pickup while standing there. He told me I would still have to wait, but at no point did he try to help me find a solution or make me feel like my business mattered. I've spent more than two decades in sales and customer service. I understand that stores get busy. I don't expect immediate service every time I walk in. What I do expect is for someone to look me in the eye, listen, communicate clearly, and show that they actually care whether I have a good experience. I left the King of Prussia Apple Store without buying the MacBook. Three days later, I walked into my local Best Buy, where someone greeted me almost immediately, answered my questions, helped me place my order, and I was in and out in less time than it took for anyone at the King of Prussia Apple Store to meaningfully engage with me. As it happened, Best Buy was also running a promotion that saved me $500 on the exact MacBook Pro configuration I ultimately purchased. I recognize that sale was specific to the timing of my purchase and may not be available for everyone, but in my case, what started as a frustrating experience ended up being a blessing in disguise. My intention isn't to criticize Apple as a company. I still believe they make outstanding products and I've been a loyal customer for over two decades. My disappointment is specifically with the customer experience at the King of Prussia Apple Store. When you walk into a store carrying one of the world's most respected brands, especially in a destination like King of Prussia Mall surrounded by retailers known for exceptional service, you expect a high-touch, premium buying experience. Instead, I found that experience at Best Buy. Before assuming the Apple Store is the best place to purchase your next Mac, I'd encourage you to explore your local Best Buy as well. You may not only receive better customer service, but you may also save hundreds of dollars like I did. I sincerely hope someone from the King of Prussia Apple Store reads this review because I don't think the issue was product knowledge or store traffic. It was a lack of genuine customer care. Apple has earned its reputation by delivering exceptional experiences along with exceptional products. I hope this location gets back to doing exactly that.
