I prefer Reagan National over Washington Dulles any day of the week. Easy to navigate. Gorgeous…read morehigh ceilings with clean and stylish amenities, plenty of premium clubs if you are a AA Admiral, AMEX Platinum, or United Club member. Lots of food vendor options. And overall, an easy travel experience outside of when there a plane delays. Since we are usually flying into DC as opposed to out, it's easy to access all the major points so long as traffic isn't bad or during rush hour. From the terminals, you can see the U.S. Capital and the Washington Monument looking firm and erect, erect and firm. And if you want to access DC via the metro, there is a station right there to take you into town within 10 to 15 minutes. Arlington is right there as is the Pentagon. One of the better airports in the country.

Easy access to parking and close proximity to everything DC, NoVA, and Maryland has to offer…read more Terminal to arrival/baggage claim was a very short distance away. Definitely easier and better in that sense compared to flying in and out of IAD. Garage parking is free for the first hour. Something we take for granted as many other airports don't offer such a thing. Too bad just about all eatery places were closed when landing at 9pm or so. I wouldn't mind flying in and out of DCA in the future.

I went through the passenger check point quickly and then went in for the long walk to my terminal. Lots of stores to shop and eat . About this Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) is the closest commercial airport to Washington, D.C., located just across the Potomac River in Arlington, Virginia. Known as the region's primary short-haul and business travel hub, it offers a highly convenient, fast-paced transit experience with stunning views of the D.C. skyline. Location is in Arlington County, Virginia (just 3 miles from downtown D.C. Serves over 26 million passengers annually, making it the busiest airport in the D.C. metro area.Ground Transportation & AccessMetro: DCA is directly connected to the D.C. Metrorail system via the Blue and Yellow lines.Taxis & Rideshares: Official taxi stands and rideshare (Uber/Lyft) pickup zones are located right outside baggage claim, with average rides into downtown D.C. costing around \(\$15 - \$20\).Parking: The airport features hourly, daily, and economy garages. This terminal was very small, cramped and chaotic…read more I walked here from the metro and it's a bit of a hike from the metro stop from Terminal 2 to Terminal 1 - probably a 10 minute walk. I'm pretty fast and fit and I was sweating! Not a lot in the way of food - I ate at the only "real" restaurant here, Reservoir, which was French and expensive but, pretty good. It's a nice place to hang out with charging ports while you wait bc, once you leave, there isn't really anywhere to relax or sit by the gate. Small shopping tunnel as you walk to the "gate" area with a large bar and it was pandemonium. Loud, crowded and bumping into people, not enough seating for the amount of people, etc. Something I havent' seen at an airport before... that's for sure. Not comfortable but it's a well-oiled machine cranking out the boarding and flights. The spherical shape the Southwest flights leave from at gates A1-A8 or so was extremely cramped, loud, and chaotic as about 3 flights were boarding and lining up back to back - the lines overlapped with other gates and boarding and the agents were calling over one another with directions. Our gate agent was a pro - fast and efficient boarding and we were ready to hit the road. Very friendly and easy boarding experience. I haven't flown Southwest in years and it was a nice plane and great boarding process. Southwest did a good job here - but, boy, was it an interesting experience with all

The village idiot has found employment! I'm kinda in my feelings as I type this but how do you…read moresleep at night telling a passenger that I can transition through the TSA prescreen but my minor son cannot? Chile please! Who in their right mind intentionally separates themselves from their kids all in the name of one of you getting past the security checkpoint faster? Sorry boo, wasn't raised that way. As for my family and me; we'll remain civilized and stand in the line with the rest of the general population. It's too much going on in the world to purposely introduce chance into a well planned trip. No reason to debate with the TSA agent as I'm not trying to make the evening news. however it is annoying when your coworkers who are watching tell me how to bypass you. Alas, the power of a dollar tree badge has reninded me of my place in the food chain.

I had my dogs with me so I love when everything can go as smooth as possible. The guy that was checking the IDs and boarding passes was nice and was trying to keep the line moving!! He did a great job. Then once we get into the next line to strip down....kidding...just the normal routine shoes, any pocket items, metals items, laptops..etc. Since I have my dogs I have to place everything on the belt and wait for it to go by and then go through the walking metal detector rather than the standing arms up your under arrest stance detector. Any who as soon as I walked through the walking detector I was greeted by a smiling TSA worker that adored my dogs. As many may not know they will wipe both your hands down so they can see what chemicals you may be carrying. So after that they put it in a machine and I have to wait. Once I was cleared, on to getting my stuff. All in all I received a great experience and appreciated all the smiles!!!
