Only when I thought DR ARKADIY TAKHALOV was going to great, but i was wrong... such a bummer that theirs doctors like this. Dr ARKADIY TAKHALOV had the worst attitude he was more frustrated when my husband arrived at the appointment than me. He didn't answer any of his questions. After talking with other moms I found I'm not the only one. He's very rude especially men who arrive at this office. I think he's truly SEXIST Also EXTREMELY rude when calling to get information about appointment times. Simply calling to double check if there is a late policy and received horrible attitude. Asked Dr Takhalov's office to complete a school form for a long term patient. They made me bring the blank form to them in person and then took 3 weeks to complete it. Incorrectly! No exam date, no weight, no height. Now the school is not accepting it and I am forced to pay for another check-up elsewhere. There is absolutely no way to reach the office - they only communicate via phone and good luck with listening to the music, as your call is not so important to the office. Stay away unless you live next door and can come and talk to them in person. read more

I had a terrible experience with Dr. Rivkin at Dr. T's that I feel I need to share. I brought my daughter in for the mandatory lead test. After waiting for 1.5 hours, Dr. Rivkin came into the room, only to tell me (with such attitude) that she would ONLY do the blood work if my daughter (she's 2, and as you can imagine doesn't like shots/blood work) complied. I was shocked at how she was speaking to me about my child. She managed to prick my daughters finger and get the blood needed, but my daughter was inconsolable. Because of this Dr. Rivkin was unable to get a bandaid on her, blood was everywhere. Rivkin gave up, threw some bandaids on the examining table, and told me to clean up the mess of blood, as my daughter was still crying hysterically. I'm honestly devastated, I would never expect this from a Dr., my daughter has been going to her since birth. We will never step foot in that office again. read more

First of all, Dr. Rivkin is phenomenal. I have no complaint whatsoever about her. She is great with both of our kids. The billing and medical record keeping, however, are getting worse. When we needed our son's immunization records two years ago, they told us that he didn't come for a checkup and they couldn't issue the NYC physical form. That's because they billed the checkup as an office visit due to illness instead. We later received a bill for co-pay. First time, we went back just so that we could get the form. When they told us that he didn't come for a checkup last year and his immunization was behind schedule, I showed them our records that he had a checkup a few months ago and they did give him the shots he needed. What would they have done if we didn't keep the records? Would they have given him another set of the same shots? It's behind scary. read more

This office is a joke. Do not go here. I met with Dr. T in my search for a pediatrician for my baby due this summer. After making an appointment during their prenatal visit hours (after office hours so pregnant women won't be around sick children), they called me a couple of hours before my appointment asking me to come an hour earlier than my scheduled time. I told them I couldn't leave work that early but could try a half hour earlier instead. I rushed to get there for the new appointment time and had to wait about 40 minutes in a room full of sick children. The receptionist was rude and obnoxious- when I asked for a new pen to fill out a patient information form because the one she gave me was out of ink, she didn't believe me until she tried the pen for herself. Shockingly enough, I have used a pen before and I'm capable of knowing whether or not a pen has ink. When I finally met Dr. T, he was incredibly rude and condescending to me and my husband about our choice of hospital for our baby's delivery. No other pediatrician we met with made any sort of rude remarks like he did. We knew immediately we would not choose him to care for our child. Now a few months later, we've just received a bill from their office charging us $100 for our visit. It's coded as a new patient-illness visit. They have completely fabricated this charge and are trying to scam us for a 15-minute chat with the rudest doctor we've ever met. I have been a patient of dr reischers for over 15 years. to be honest the only reason why i go to this office is because of him. I have witnessed Dr.T yell and speak down on his staff who are young women. This has happened on numerous occasions. I even heard him tell a mother be quiet you're confusing me stop talking. he is constantly changing his staff and now I see why. Every winter I have seen the same girl cleaning the drive way.. I think to myself is she even supposed to be doing that?. The manager there is a Spanish lady who always seems to have an attitude. Its like asking her a question upsets her. This man has people do construction on site while he is seeing patients. there was this one time i had to leave due to the smell of something wrotten burning. While they may be good physicians, I found the Dr. to be condescending in tone and unable to offer me personalized, realistic advice. When asked to refer me to a pediatric infectious disease / travel medicine for a long trip I will be taking with my 2 year old, I was told to go to JFK airport clinic or visit the CDC website. Wait times are horrendous. Every single visit resulted in at least a 40 minute wait past our scheduled time. Dr. T is overbooked and always rushing through appointments. Our son had eczema at early age and was later diagnosed with a peanut allergy. The doctor made no recommendation to introduce nuts at an early age which is now known as an effective method for reducing the risk of the allergy. His incompetence may have imposed my son a lifetime of epi pens and avoidance of nuts. read more

Came here with my newborn because it was right across the street from my apartment. Stayed for about 4 months after repediately telling myself maybe next time will be better. It never got better. Dr T always made me feel stupid for asking questions about my premature newborn by giving me weird faces and telling me to chill out basically. He was rude to me and made me feel uncomfortable. My daughter was a patient of his until she was about two. We called for an emergency visit and got an appointment fairly quick. But dr t had changed the office to the new location. We felt extremely rushed in this visit, it took no longer than 5 mins There was no sincerity or genuine concern in his bedside manner. BLACK PEOPLE BEWARE!!! This doctor is very racist and unprofessional.... as a black person I took my daughter for a physical because she wanted to be apart of a tennis team at her school,I initially called and and booked an appointment for 2pm, upon my arrival I was treated like I was invisible, after standing for about 5 minutes one of the front desk staff asked if I had an appointment, he then proceeded to say I needed to write my name in the appointment book, which I did... we were seated in a room half hour after, the doctor passed by the room we were seated in back and forth attending to all the other patient even those that came after us, she never said a word to us but just kept moving past us like we don't exist.. my daughter felt so bad, when I asked one of the front desk staff what was going on he proceeded to tell me that, the doctor chooses who she sees and when so he can't tell me what to do, after waiting over an hour I just had enough and left! I cannot understand why in this century this racism and unfair treatment of black people still continues... the only reason I even visited this office was because of the reviews it had and thought I would be a good place to take my daughter...
