This Carignan from Chile was delicious - I ended up purchasing the bottle!

I would give this place 10 stars if I could! Try Wine is a must-do whenever I visit my mom in St. Pete because it's a lovely atmosphere and a fun experience. They have so many wines from a number of different countries - I really enjoy sampling wines from areas like Mexico and Lebanon that I don't often see in restaurants or grocery stores near me. They also recently added more food options, and their goat cheese appetizer is SO GOOD. Their team has always been so welcoming and knowledgeable, and the vibe is really relaxing. I've been coming for years and will definitely be back!

We had been walking around Downtown St. Petersburg and decided to stop at Try Wine to... (wait for it)... try some wines. Try Wine has a variety of tasting stations on the entry-level and a sub-level that comprises more tasting stations, rows of bottles for sale, and a small, private area. We decided to do the option with the wine cards for my wife, and I that Try Wine put $100 to use at any of the tasting stations to sample from different bottles in 1-ounce, 3-ounce, or 6-ounce levels. We spent most of the time at tasting stations 3, 4, and 5, which had red wines from across the globe. Most of the wines were solid that we tried, and our server was nice and made sure we had what we needed. While we didn't determine a wine that we felt was worth buying a bottle, it was still a nice time for a couple of hours during the afternoon.

We have been coming here since before they moved and we always have a great time. The last time was during covid when we were opening up as long as you were masked. Stopping in tonight to find a nice bottle to take home. So they seem to have a much bigger menu for food. Pizzas and fondues. We have had the fondue before and it was awesome so we grabbed some of that. Tasting around the wine 'walls' is so fun. You can have just a taste to make sure you like it but then grab a full glass or even a bottle of the ones you like. The staff here is awesome and very helpful. Great place to relax and enjoy wine tasting.

I do not want anyone to know about this spot because I'm obsessed with it. The food is the best. They have a sourdough pizza and it's yummy. I also love the service. The energy is always nice. I only want them to offer more sweet wines with a high alcohol percentage and moderate rate. I've been twice. I would come everyday if I lived nearby. I'd love to shoot content here one day.

The experience is everything. You get to enjoy small samples of wine that you might not want to pay for a full glass or bottle. Intimate seating situation as well so this is a nice place for a quiet date. Very knowledgeable staff on top of everything. My friends and I were a party of 4 and stopped by a little after 9pm on a Saturday night. We were seated immediately and not rushed during our tasting. We chose to just pick 6 wines from their menu which were served in little beakers. Loved that! Great selections to choose from with prices starting around $4 per taster. Be prepared to spend money. As per other reviews, this is not really a place to go for food. I wish they had a good happy hour with charcuterie and wine specials. Wish list!

My messy wine room at home. We were not casual customers or people who have kids that couldn't handle themselves.

Visiting my sister in St. Petersburg. Owners were not welcoming because we had our 10 year old and 8 year old with us. Mind you, we were planning to buy a few bottles of wine and leave. And we made that clear when we walked in. But the owner (?) did not want our kids anywhere in that place. They're not wild and I had asked them to sit down at the empty table that was downstairs to ease the owner's clear (and unnecessary) prejudice. But that wasn't sufficient. As a result of the Grinch-like attitude with which we were addressed, we were out of there in less than 2 minutes and found somewhere else to spend $250 on wine. After we left, my sister then told me she had experienced a similar vibe when she'd gone in a month earlier with a friend (no kids), but she hoped it was a one off so she didn't mention it before we went in. Such a neat way to run a tasting room. They offer a myriad of flights and by the glass selections that really encourages us to branch out and try something new. Though we didn't partake this time around, the charcuterie selection was vast and diverse. We will certainly return in the future!

    Prix fix menu

They have a great selection of metered wines. The real star is the chef. Last November we had one of the best prix fixed menus and wine pairings we have ever had. Sourdough ravioli was amazing, A5 wagyu tenderloin, burrata, etc. Everything tasted amazing! It was quiet and the service was wonderful.

After visiting a museum on a rainy day, I was feelin classy and decided to check this place out. Try Wine ended up exceeding my expectations! The atmosphere of this place is super interesting. It feels like you are in a swanky private collection, but not of a snobby wine person just one that can appreciate all types. I found that the information displayed on the 'taps' was super helpful in choosing wines I was unfamiliar with and allowed me to push my pallet boundaries (I added a pic of my fav of the new ones I tried on 3/25/22). The food we got was tasteful. The notable item for me was the almonds!! I feel like I could've eaten a popcorn bowl full of them. The charcuterie list was extensive and they provide a checklist for us to order. My fav item was the pastrami-style smoked salmon. The service was also above average here. All were super helpful and available. They definitely find people that understand wine or at least appreciate it. I'd recommend this place for anything from a casual date to maybe even a nice start to the evening. I could see myself getting a late reso somewhere and meeting up early here for a fun drink beforehand. The wine choices are fun to talk about and an easy ice-breaker.

Try wine is a great place to go for social hour with friends. Me and my girlfriends decided to come here one evening and try out their amazing wine selection. I want to start by saying the atmosphere felt like I was in a rustic wine cellar somewhere in Italy. The decor was traditional with a modern twist. So it's the place to be for all legal drinking ages. Their wine selection had a wonderful range and I even found a new favorite. Don't even get me started on the fresh food they prepared. As you can see from the photo I could barley wait to dig into my cheese flatbread. Also tried their bread with enriched lemon oil and their mouthwatering homemade popcorn. I definitely plan on coming back and trying more wine(for research purposes lol) Overall rating 8.5/10. IG- CultureCourtyard
