I was recommended Book + Bottle by a friend of mine last week. I had never heard of this place beforehand and never noticed it tucked away right off Central. As you see from my photos, it's a small, quaint, but very cool little spot. They've got thousands of books lined up on the entire left wall with several little tables in the middle where you could easily work, read, or enjoy the ambiance. I was taken care of by an incredible server/bartender named Andi! I told her what type of wine I liked and gave her dealer choice as she seemed to know what she was talking about. I was served a glass of the Soft + Pretty Dr. Burklin Wolf White Blend 2021. It was really good. For food, I ordered a brie with honey and jam. I would totally recommend you eating this with a friend as it's a lot of food for one person. I was stuffed leaving and had plenty more. Andi - Service: 9.9, I would have given her a 10 if it wasn't for her staying busy and doing an incredible job taking care of the place with all the customers they had come in. She knew her stuff and was so personable. I will be back to see her. Their staff is so friendly and helpful. I can't remember their name, but someone recommended two great books to me after I described what I was looking for and I absolutely loved them. I will say the prices were a little too high for a non alcoholic canned drink that all they had to do was pour out but the experience was incredible. Darling spot for a night out. Loved the atmosphere. We tried the feta and it was fantastic. We also have their special valentine macaroons. This is such a fun concept for a book + wine store. The store was full of smiling faces when I visited on a Wednesday in the early afternoon, but I managed to snag a spot at the bar. Kendall was very welcoming and spoke about the wine so much passion. I ended up ordering a bottle and enjoyed sipping on it while browsing through their book selection. Book & bottle has the Cozyness of a coffee shop but at the same time bustling with people. I would say it's a great place to get some work done on your laptop but a little too much going on to try and use it as a study spot. Maybe I just tend to catch them when they're busy, but twice I've tried to go and ended up getting a latte to go instead of a glass of wine, because all chairs were full. Maybe they'll end up in a bigger place at some point. While I've yet to be able to get a glass of wine, I wouldn't come back again for coffee, both lattes were very unimpressive if I'm being honest. I was a bit disappointed by the atmosphere. Plain, white wall corporate feel to it down to the t-shirts for sale. In comparison to the many wine or coffee shops in st. I woke up today in a particularly uplifted mood. Even though every day is like a vacation to me, today I am actually on vacation. I am a caregiver and the goddess I care for is in respite care for 2 weeks. Mama needed some me time, me/lover time and me/son time during his spring break. I immediately followed my intuition and looked on Yelp to see what time the shop opened and I instantly saw (the first picture) a review that had 111 likes. Knowing my intuition and guides very well, I knew it was a sign I must follow. I had previously asked the universe to send me a book that was entertaining and not about healing or spirituality. It's all I've been reading for almost 3 years now and I knew it was time for some fun, entertaining fantasy books! I got dressed and came on by! When I walked in I noticed the book, a Court of thorns and roses (seems like last copy in store- so divinely waiting for me) and immediately started reading it. Of course, I got me a oat milk cappuccino to assist in this glorious experience (with my soulmate by my side, always supporting my divine, tapped in nature) I purchased the book and the French press!! This shop is so cute and pleasing for all. I'm not a wine drinker but I love the ambiance of a good wine place. One not full of it and open to all. The employees were very nice and knowledgeable about everything in the store. The only thing I would've love is if they had (Atleast) one homemade simple syrup. I truly dislike Monin syrups (so many yucky chemicals). Which is why I make my own from pure love and intention. I even make some, for the worthy staff and for when I go (almost all the time) to my local coffee shop, Sumitra. I am not saying that not having homemade syrup deters me from going. It's just something I prefer. I flow with whatever is being given to me I am so grateful and filled with joy that I followed the signs and my guides to exactly where and when I am meant to be. read more

My new favorite wine bar that is more than a wine bar. They even have rose (wine) on tap! Yes, there is a wine God. My first time at this new establishment. It was a former shoe repair place that hid the beautiful charm until now. Beautiful 100 yr old tile floors, high ceilings and two large areas for sitting, eating, drinking and reading. They even have outdoor seating Social distancing & masks encouraged. We sat at the bar & admired their clever menu. Since our visit was short we tasted a couple reds which were wonderful. I had their quiche for a little snack, it was delicious. This beautiful new shop has so many more details to see and food to taste that I cannot wait to come back & report on my findings. read more

I mean, if that isn't a healthy afternoon, I'm not sure what is. It looks like you can bring your laptop and work as well. It happened to be a holiday when we visited: independent bookstore day! I was able to snag a couple of books off the shelves in honor of that, as well as glance at the drink/happy hour menu.
