This restaurant is a dichotomy. Fast food created by a 2 star Michelin chef, that would appeal to the common man (or woman) but was designed for a discerning palette. I can not imagine many clients who frequent Michelin restaurants busing their own tables, but that is the sort of place we are discussing here. The beef burger is 'dry aged beef'. Orders are placed with the cashier, who will not ask 'how would you like that cooked'. Instead, they are cooked medium rare, as any chef who knows his beef should do. The bread is said to be house made as are the sauces and cucumber (pickles). We ordered the 'Classic' burger (€12) and an adult beverage each with one side of fries to share. I found this to be a very tasty burger. The pickle slices have a sweet and slightly tart flavor. The bbq sauce mild, the red onion also mild adding a slight crunch. The lettuce and tomato stayed put on a very tasty bun. A side of house made ketchup was included. I used this on my fries, not on my burger. The fries are plentiful but are nothing special. They are served in a large box with a green salad. I find this combination of hot and cold foods in one container unexpected. The ketchup is sweet and added much to the fries. My first bite of salad was salty and spicy, but this seasoning must have been sprinkled on top, not mixed in the dressing, as it did not carry through the rest of the salad. The building itself is unique with elements from around the world. Much thought has been put in to the venue. It seems however that there is something missing. The burger was indeed good. The fries and salad are lacking. All in all, €43 for two adult beverages, two classic burgers and one side of fries seems excessive for a restaurant serving 'fast food' where you order at the counter, pick up when ready, and then bus your table. I like the 'self service' vibe. I just expect the fries and salad to match the quality of the burger for that kind of cash. read more

4 stars from me - will be honest up front, the issue is the lack of homemade chips / fries as that is really one of the key things with a burger from me. Probably because I eat only chicken or vegetarian options (both of which are very nice at Try Burger). I went as part of a Yelp Elite evening and the group got to try 5 different burgers (of which I tasted 2), chips / fries, a side salad, the organic drinks and a vin chaud (mulled wine) to finish off the evening. Everything is locally sourced or homemade with organic ingredients as much as possible which is something I am very keen on. I really liked the vegetarian offer here, a quinoa and soy bean sprout patty that they make in house, with various toppings that layer up for quite a cool visual effect combined with the squid ink black bun. Ingredients like mushrooms and homemade aubergine caviar for example. The drinks aren't the usual cokes or standard soft drinks but rather more interesting such as a honey lemon drink, organic lemonades and flavoured water, all as much as possible without added sugar or sweeteners. As mentioned above, the chips were not homemade which is a shame as part of the fun of a gourmet burger is the homemade fries with some being soggy and some crispy small bits. I hope they find a side dish to go with the quality of the burgers soon. Side salad was nice and generous with lots of pine nuts. I heard that this place was supposed to be run by a chef and the "fast food" was to be above average. So after seeing it a few times walking near the place massena we tried it and found the hype to be just the advertising, and the place is nothing special at all. What really disappointed me more than the food itself was the way the place is run. Attitudes about service run deep in this region, but the "Try Burger" could really care less if you are there or not. In fact you are somehow a nuisance, and the staff would rather get back to chatting on their Facebook app than dealing with you. Worse for me was the utter disregard for the environment. Each meal is packed in all sorts of boxes and the trays are thick paper, with of course "TSA certified" plastic forks that snap quickly when used. All of this is dumped into the trash after each customer. Pitiful example of pure fast food waste; out maneuvering Mc Donald's with use of heavy gage paper and trays. Was not impressed at all with the style, ambiance, and waste. Now to the food...... French Fries are served in a "paper box" with lettuce swimming in sauce, mixing fried food with cold salad is pure genius....and sprinkled with hot pepper flecks of some type. If you let them sit for 15min you will discover they are frozen re-constituted fries, of low quality that a dog would pass by when cold. The burgers are messy to say the least. I guess the idea is to be outlandish like something from Las Vegas or Texas. Using plastics knives and forks is impossible. So we tossed most of it in the waste bin along with 1/2 kilo of wrappings and trays that contributed to the nearby landfill. Bravo indeed..... read more

I love the revisionist history in the business' response. We were never denied service. We were ripped off and requested a refund because Try Burger doesn't deserve any of our money. Don't worry about us returning. We don't patronize places that have terrible customer service. As far as other customers being confused, that's an outright lie. We saw several of the customers later in the night and they said we made the correct decision in leaving. Just because I made the choice to warn others about our lousy experience makes me less cool than these people? I'll take it. I'm so not cool for being honest with people about poor customer service and outrageous prices. If being cool means being a doormat and getting ripped off then I want none of it. The best burger I have tasted...so far. The burgers are "designed" by a 2 Michelin Star chef...and he has done his job well. I have tried the Try Burger and the Try Riviera both were great the additions (Fries and Salad) were fresh and pretty good. The burger is with €18.00 not the cheapest, but quality has it's price and to be honest it's worth the price! You have the choice of 5 different beers and 5 Lemonades (all organic) for sure you also get water and all that stuff, but who needs water for a Burger Not understandable to complain about the price or the design or the menu when you have a perfect concept with all you need! read more

Not sure why there are negative reviews. My wife had a burger craving in Nice and this restaurant fit the bill. She enjoyed her burger, and I had the chicken sandwich which was very good. Th staff was very friendly and accommodating to my dietary needs. They even made a small burger for our dog who was getting sad watching us eat the tasty burgers. If you are looking for a good burger in Nice, definitely check this place out. read more

I visited France and Try Burger was one of the restaurants I dined at. They had tasty burgers that were sizable for the price and cooked well. I also ordered a side salad to go alongside it as well. The quality wasn't bad for the price of €38. The atmosphere isn't too loud. It's just the right amount of lively that you would expect for a fast food restaurant. From what I could see, the place was kept pretty clean and well maintained. If I'm in France again, I'll swing back around. read more
