Cool bar with live music, food, and drinks! The burgers were around 8-14 euros and the cocktails were 9.50 euros with shots being 6-9 euros. There is live music every night with an opener and then the main act coming on at 10:30 p.m. We got dinner around 10:30 p.m and were lucky to grab a table here as it started to get a lot more packed shortly after. Food and drinks came pretty quick. Definitely recommend coming here to grab a bite and some drinks with some friends! read more

This place is insane! The tour group I was on always stops here while in Nice and I can see why. The drinks were decently priced. They have 2 sections of seating. They have calmer seating in the front section and then there's the back section. In the back section, there was a live band playing. The band was awesome. The best part about this bar though is that you can dance on the tables in the back. They have 3 long sturdy tables and everyone gets up on them. The back can get super crowded and then it gets uncomfortably hot and hard to get through to the bathrooms. It was a fun time though. read more

Its a British pub in Nice. So of course most of the crowds were from GB. The age range varied from teenagers (I believe) to mostly drunken 20 year olds. There was a live band which I enjoyed. The food was good. Waiterstaff were attentive. I liked everything from the rock and roll decorations to the live music and the food. The crowd? I mean, for an English Pub in the country of France, you're definitely bold. I give you that. However, I'm afraid I definitely had better in all parts of the world. Lets start with the good; The burger is good, at least the Classic Burger is absolutely value for money! And then... The chicken wings, not impressive; super greasy, fried too long (or reheated) so that the skin becomes leathery, not much flavour. The BBQ sauce is OK (dip 'm like crazy) but I don't believe for a second it's homemade. The tortilla crisps on which the wings were served came from a bag that had been opened a while ago, so they'd lost their crunch. The service... Well, at some point I wanted to ask the waitress if I had done anything to upset her; had we been rude? Unfriendly to her? Slaughtered her family in a previous life? Friendliness wasn't spent on us at least... The table was sticky, obviously not been cleaned. I bet you can have a great time here at night; at the bar drinking beers, listening to live music. I was just really surprised with the overall rating on Yelp, because I wouldn't recommend it after my experience. read more

Maybe a one off experience but I really thought Wayne's sucked the big one. As we walked by there during a walking tour our guide said that we could go there and dance on tables. So I figured why not. Showed up here around 11 which was entirely too late. There are no locals here and drinks are grossly overpriced for the type of place this is. It was like ten thousand fuckin degrees in there. The worst part was that they had an AC unit but it was either off or not working. Everybody there is on tables and I mean everyone. The sound system sucks and they play top 40 and repeated songs. Some people I talked to swear by this place. I am used to dancing on tables and chairs but normally we are paying thousands of dollars to do so. It is definitely an interesting experience. read more

Wayne's bar in Nice is a great place to pull up a seat and watch people wander through the amazing old town. The food is particularly good too. It is Parisian/English pub style fare. Me and my guest shared a mixed platter. It came complete with local cured meats, spare ribs, local olives and even fresh herring. It was a large and interesting combination that proved to be the ideal snack for enjoying the warm day, along with a couple of glasses of rose. The staff were helpful, attentive and friendly. Was looking for a place to go out and have a night to remember... Wayne's delivered. The band played songs in English (they were from Liverpool) and not just the normal sing along songs. You can dance on the tables so it took all of 5 minutes once the band started to know we were in the right spot. Despite the crowd, was able to get bar service pretty quickly. If you're in Nice looking for an experience you won't get back home...Wayne's is a surprisingly grand time. read more

Heard this was a fun bar so my friend and I checked it out while on vacation. Heard good music, walked towards the back, and saw people dancing on tables, awesome!! We basically came here almost every night we were in Nice. The live music is great and the DJ after is great too. We didn't expect so much American music in Europe but hey as long as I can dance I don't mind. The only problem is the heat! Holy hell is it hot in here, even with the AC on. If you stay towards the bar and seating area you'll be fine but if you want to dance don't even think about bringing a jacket. All the bartenders spoke English and were really nice. Tip them to hear them ring the bell. Bouncers were always nice too. Not much of a line to get in if you're used to LA/Vegas. I think we had to wait 5 min on Saturday. They had coat check on Saturday. We even came on Sunday expecting it to be empty but there was still a good amount of people there. If you're in Nice I'd come check it out for at least one night, especially if you like to dance on tables. Didn't get to try the food unfortunately, but the vodka sour is pretty good :) read more

This is a gem in this city with great food, drinks, live music, and great atmosphere. Servers and bartenders here speak English and I basically kept forgetting I was in France. I came around 9:30pm on a Friday night and there were a few tables open, although once the live music started at 10:30 it became super crowded. Food: I don't like burgers so I ordered the veggie burger, and it was definitely one of the best I've had. It was actually a veggie base (not mainly rice or beans) with eggplant and melted brie on top. I do wish it came with fries though, for the price (~9.50). We moved to the bar afterward to get closer to the live music, and the room was packed with university students dancing on the tables so it was a fun night. I don't think that's a typically weeknight for them though. read more

Went to Wayne's as there was live music and was relatively busy on a Monday night. Once inside, we got seated at a table, and ordered our drinks with the waitress, as well as an order of the beef chili nachos. The drinks came quite quickly, and at that point everything was going great until the food arrived. The waitress dropped the plate of with the nachos and walked away. I preceded to move the plate by turning the bowl on the top when I was in for a rude awakening. The bowl containing the nachos was EXTREMELY hot, clearly had just come out from a broiler, and as I proceeded to move the bowl, I burnt my hands in the process. I ended up using my beer to cool my hands down, as the waitress had NOT warned us about the temperature of the bowl by any means. Once we began to eat the nachos we realized they were all extremely burnt. All the chips were black and tasted disgusting. Once we finally got ahold of the waitress, I ordered a glass of ice for my hands, I tried to explain about the bowl being hot but she was not bothered at all, and before I was able to get a word in about the nachos she was nowhere to be seen. She dropped of the cup of ice and walked away, and then we finally waved her down to make our complaint. After we had advised her about the nachos being burnt, she then proceeded to tell us that all nachos come like that. I told her that I had never been served burnt nachos before and that we would like a new order. Much to her dislike she took he plate without a word. About ten minutes later, she brought out a new plate, with NO apology, except this time she DID tell us about the bowl being hot. I said "I know, I burnt my hand on the last one" and she shrugged and walked away. The nachos were still overcooked, but at least these weren't burned. I was so annoyed and upset by her at this point, I had my friend go to the register to pay, as I did not want to say something rude to her. Customer service at it's worse, needless to say I will NOT be returning or recommending this place. read more

This is a well known spot on the vieux ville doorstep right next to the Palais du justice. Kind of ironic, as it is a load and busy pub in the summer months, and people spill out into the Rue prefecture nearly the entire night. The place does have food, and lot's of beer of course. They typically have live music in the summer, and the people tend to be very international (tourists). read more

The reviews on Wayne's are all pretty spot on, not much to add. Almost everyone at the bar speaks English and is a tourist from Ireland, England, or America. This is definitely a good spot to watch games - we came here to watch the Brazil and Mexico World Cup games and it was pretty fun. If you are coming for a game, be sure to come a little early to grab a table...the place fills up very quickly and standing the whole time isn't really the move. Food is decent, got a burger and fries and both were pretty good, although a bit overpriced. Considering there is tons of cheap wine in France I was little annoyed to have to pay 22 euros for their cheapest bottle of white but it wasn't huge deal. All in all I'd definitely come again to watch games, may even come back tonight to watch France play Ecuador! Just don't expect too much. This is just based of some beers really. What I likes about the place (indoor) is that you had tables and a server checking up on you. On the other hand or side of the bar, there is a stage where they do bands. Since their wifi password is livemusic, I expect there is music here quite often. Nothing wrong with this place. I like the feeling amd the interior. You have all sorts of pictures, paintings, phone booth and even a doll playing a piano. This place looks like it gets crowded every day and I understand why. Oh Wayne's, where does one begin? There is no place in Nice (when I was there) that pops off like Wayne's does on Thurs-Fri-Sat nights. My group and I cruised inside for a drink and you would have thought you were at Marquee in Vegas. This place is SMALL. Or at least it felt that way due to the insane number of people inside and even outside. While living in Nice as an epxat, I loved Wanyes. But you have to know when to go. The food is great and reasonably priced, so lunch there is good option because it's not too crowded and service is fast. They have lots of TV's and are happy to show whichever sport you want to watch, whether a French team is playing or not. All the staff speak English. If you arrive after 7pm, it starts to get super crowded and noisy. Other people have mentioned the dancing on the tables. This happens in a small area called 'The Pit' which is on a slightly lower level to the rest of the pub. It gets incredibly hot in the Pit, whether the air con is on or not because there are so many people in such a small space. They make the best use of the space available though. The back room is literally a dark room with loud music and everyone is dancing on a table. An english pub is something hard to find in some places. One of these is Cote d'azur. Plenty of boulangeries and cocktail bars but no good english pubs. Neither half of it. And then we found wayne's! the two of us just arrived in Nice and wanted something easy, just to spend a couple of hours. An english pub would have been perfect just a burger to share and we would have been done. Staying at a hotel next to the Vieux Nice, it seemed logical to come here! From the outside, nice atmosphere, good music, and good food (at least from what you can see on the other tables!) We had a couple of dishes, a leek soup and a burger, easy stuff, nothing fancy. Now, the soup was good and solid, but I asked for a rare burger... what I received was a cold burger, with the meat still raw and stone cold in the middle. Now that's not what you call a rare burger! I love the fact they cook you something less than medium, but I want my meat still hot! In the end... well maybe it was just a bad shot, but the place is nice, and today I'm feeling generous, hence 3 stars for you... but just for now! if I receive another time a cold burger your rating is going down to hell! read more

As an American traveling to Nice for 25th Anniv. Trip from Phoenix AZ, we ended up most days/nights at Wayne's in Nice. Service was always excellent. It was nice to have people be able to understand our English. The serving and mjmt team seem to have a real sense of family. We are aged 52 and 57 and we're comfortable here. Our first night, after the last night of the Carnival Light Parade (highlight of the trip) they had a band in the back room and people dancing on the tables. We still received great service, even though it was packed, and had fun. A smaller band played CSN&Y type music with such me Johnny Cash and other requests attempted to very satisfied results. Great happy hour prices from 4-8 pm. We watched Rugby with what seemed to be life cal people more than tourists and had a blast. It reminded me of being at a Green Bay Packer bar on game day except rugby tournaments don't have so many commercial breaks and time outs. read more

I found it so strange to be in France, where English is definitely not the first language, and then we ran into this bar, where I have to say was the only place we felt confident enough to order a drink but it is in the middle of the old town of France and the most non-French place I could imagine. I mean, the guy who served us was Aussie, and the whole place was like a big culture exchange. There was food, live bands to listen to, and live sport to watch. It was such a fun place - why not?! Supposedly it gets to a stage where everyone's on the tables dancing but we didn't stay that long cos the smoke was getting to us and we had an early start the next morning! read more
