What a great diamond in the rough! We had been traveling around Europe for a few weeks and looking for something different. Wayne's fit the bill perfectly. I had the Chicken sandwich with Cranberry and Brie. I was a little unsure at first but it was absolutely amazing! The band playing that night just added to the atmosphere. All day honest to goodness Irish bar food. Happen to be here for the six nations Ireland vs England game and great atmosphere. keepin' it up all year I've spent 4 summers in and out of the bar & recently when moved to Nice go there quite often. It's the only place in the French Riviera where the ambience is kept all year. The food is great, not to mention the drinks, & the guys who work there are quite friendly as well. Finally the place to be if you're a pub crawling kinds party person. My go-to happy hour spot. You can get a pint or a cocktail for less than 5 euro. Haven't tried much of the food.. only the nachos and the cajun chicken. Nachos were big enough for 4 people to share and were amazing. Chicken was a little dry but the flavor was good. The service is always great. read more

Debauchery I used to work at this fine establishment some 4-5 years ago behind the bar (those were the days of Frank, Mike, and that big-ass bouncer!!). In any case, if Wayne's hasn't changed it's attitude, and if your looking for a great party in Nice this is the place. The summer beach parties were a blast, the crowds were always excellent, many nights of debauchery. Wayne Its (horrifically) 11 years ago that me and my wife spent many a drunken night in Wayne's and I can guarantee he is a terrific bloke who will make sure the beer and entertainment are top class. Hot Nights in Nice Wayne´s is the best place to be in Nice if you look for hot guys from all over the world (esp. bar-staff...), "table-dancing", good live music, delicious food and drinks AND great party ambiance... We were in Nice for one year (2001-2002) and the Wayne´s was nearly our second home... We really get homesick when we think about our time there. Wayne's Bar is the place to be in Nice! A perfect mix of people in all ages. Food is good, quick and warm service and really good bands playing live music!! I went with a group of friends (table of 8) and we had burgers and beers. The house burgers are really good! After eaten we moved down to the dance floor where the house band played. Really fun spot on a Friday & Saturday night in old town Nice. Live band, dancing on tables. Super crowded so if you don't like being shoulder to shoulder it might not be for you, but if you want a really lively drinking place in Nice then this is the spot. Heard about Wayne's prior to my trip but was hesitant to eat there - especially when I had a plethora of French restaurants waiting to be explored. On my last day in Nice I fancied a full English breakfast. So I thought where else to have it than the foremost English pub in Nice. Big big big mistake. My eggs were just plain awful. I asked for the eggs to be changed / recooked/ or at least made palatable. I was told a flat NO! Full English with no eggs is like N'sync with no Justin Timberlake - plain awful. Le Sigh! read more

Late flight from Paris into Nice and opted for a good standby pub as opposed to trying to navigate our way through some other options with three hungry kids. What you see is what you get: good beer and good quick food that was extremely family friendly. Our waitress was from the US and quite helpful with some local recommendations during our stay. Manager out of his mind... The place itself is good, but arguing with your customer for the sake of provoking fights, seems the (current) manager favorite work. I observed a nearly fight breaking with some though englishman, and until it was my case thought they had done or said the wrong thing. Then at around closure i gently asked the manager which other bars he would suggest at this time. He first responded then, in sight of a queue of people making their way out started to blame me of blocking the entry, obsessively and accusing me, despite i a thin bloke was nearly squeezed on the wall and exit lane. Three lines of people easily passed, so obvious to my friends, my girlfriend and me, that the bloke was just up to give me a hard time! And ruin a quiet nice evening. Because im a man of honour i first screamed him to stop that game, the bodyguard understood the situation and calmed me down, just the bloke wanted to continue... Well on my way out i said to myself to not leave with bad feelings, so i went over to the man in sight of clearing, yet the manager really did not only not accepted my gesture but was ready to let another fight break trough, clearly superficially! Ok i gave up some people just dont get it and need power trips to feel validated, trouble when your the customer and until that bloke is there not longer planning to head back with friends, nor recommend it. read more
