Well, several weeks pass and I try to access my system through the app. Access denied! I call cpi and was told closed due to non payment. huh? I took care of autopay weeks ago. charging me late fees and threatening me with collections. Not to mention the issues I had with them from the get go.I spent hours of wasted time on the phone with unprofessional reps who couldn't tie their own shoes. They are a shrewd team of crooks. please don't entertain the thought of dealing with thieves. unscrupulous business practices. worse I've ever seen

    I find it despicable that CPI Security Systems, based out of Columbia, SC would employ sales reps…read moresuch as Jason Gaines and Eric Smith who would LIE and DECEIVE uniformed service members into contracts. Specifically, Eric Smith informed myself and others that CPI Security was running promotions to NOT mandate contract timelines (such as signing up for 39 mos, 48 mos, 60 mos... etc..) only for the company to inform the member "Well that is untrue but it's too late, you're under contract." Additionally, both sales reps informed me that "Uniformed Members who get put on official assignment out of the area can cancel their contract at no cost." That was also A LIE! And to follow it up, when I call to cancel service that I've had at TWO.. not one, but TWO residences, I'm given a different "buyout" amount, if you will, by 4..... FOUR different customer service representatives who all had different "contract requirements" they claim I was under. What in the hell kind of company would LIE TO THE FACES of service members, and then hold steady on those lies and then be so inept at running the day to day operations that their own billing and customer service agents are not anywhere on the same page when it comes to rectifying any situations? If this company cannot even get simple billing and information right, why on earth would anyone hire them to protect their homes via their security services? This company acts as if it your best friend until you don't agree or simply wish to move on in your life at which point they will throw you under the bus and cover up any lies or misinformation that was passed to you. CPI Columbia, SC should be ashamed at how their branch is being run and again, to the sales reps Jason Gaines and Eric Smith, shame on you for pushing lies and taking advantage of service members who YOU KNOW AND WERE TOLD cannot be locked into any contractual agreements as our families are uprooted and moved throughout the country on a consistent basis. And to whoever oversees the entire billing and customer service departments, your employees do not communicate, do not understand and remedial training should be conducted immediately due to their constant display of miscommunication and unacceptable service levels.

When I contacted Family First Security and explained my dilemma, a kind lady from the office (Pam) arranged for Jamie to come out and assess the situation and provide me a quote for the scope of the work I needed, and once we agreed on the price quote, the equipment was ordered, and Family First was even willing to perform a weekend install for me. I can't say enough about how patient, understanding and downright professional everyone I've dealt with a Family First Security has been, everything from arranging the on site consultation, to following up with me on all aspects of the job at hand, from ordering equipment up to & including the installation work, I never felt like I was a burden or just another customer to this company. Rarely have I encountered folks who's listening and responding skills fully addressing my queries and concerns in their replies have I encountered, but Jamie & Pam & their team were downright AMAZING! and I'm most appreciative to the lengths they went to in order to address my needs. Folks, take it from someone who was burned and treated like trash by another company who claimed to be "Net Professionals" but were far from it, if you're seeking a company that truly wants to earn your business, & listens to & responds to your needs, you aught to at least reach out to Family First Security, and give these folks a shot at working with you and providing you with the piece of mind knowing you & your families security is in good hands, and your system installed by professionals who want you to be as happy with their work as they are providing you with a quality installation, with quality equipment that they will not only teach you how to use, but stand behind if anything should unexpectedly go wrong.     SHORT VERSION: DO NOT USE SONITROL. We were told from the beginning that after paying $1200 for…read moreequipment that the equipment completely belonged to us. When I mentioned cancelling, Angelia told me they would be coming to get our cameras and system despite our salesman Tre stating we owned the equipment. We were also told that Sonitrol was "at our service" and would know about issues with our system before we would even notice. I was patronized when I called to let them know our cameras weren't working. Our cameras have had constant issues since day 1. When asked to come check on them, Sonitrol wanted to charge us a fee to send a technician and implied that they were doing us a huge favor sending someone to check the cameras that did not work. When I confronted them about their attitude regarding sending a technician at no charge, they told me I likely did not have a maintenance plan that covered it. I have my original paperwork that states I do, in fact, have a maintenance plan. Last week, our camera reached a "max capacity" of video uploads for the month leaving our business vulnerable until a new billing period started. We were never (NEVER) informed of a limit of video clips or additional charges regarding uploads and have read our entire contract. Being a seasonal business, I requested they waive the fee increase to cover our additional clips during our busy season since the office traffic is incredibly low 8 months of the year and would more than even out. They refused. Lastly, using Sonitrol without DVR, you only get short video clips which are enough to see a criminal enter your premises but not enough to see their actions after the first sixty seconds or so. Save yourself the wasted money, time, effort, terrible customer service and annoyance and use someone else.
