Scheduled apt. and met with contractor (~an hour). Was advised that due to the size/scope of our project, he would need the manager to come out. Scheduled and met for another ~ hour. Was quoted $90k (top tier) and $80k mid. and told they would need to confirm with the manufacturer that they could paint the interior black. Rcd call that they could! Was excited about that, so I called to get a modified quote for windows already measured and estimated (just reduced the immediate scope of the job). Scheduled and met for yet another hour. Was provided a quote...in writing. Received a call later that afternoon from the salesman telling me that the quote was inaccurate and he would need to rework the numbers as he forgot to select the right color for the interior window frame. Estimated the cost to be another $4000-$7000!!!! Advised him that was the same ballpark as the quote from their competitor and that he should figure out how to honor what he quoted me knowing all along the color of the windows (inside and out). The color can't be that much more. Received a text within the hour that they were working with the manufacturer, but it "looks good". Fast forward 30 hrs and "we're sorry, but we just can't do the job and make anything". To their credit, the manager responded to my follow-up message and did his best to explain what happened and that they would loose money at the quote provided. They would do if for cost, if they could, but they were already above our other quote. During my conversation with him, I finally got a final quote which was $16,000 over the written quote his salesman provided during the 3rd visit. At the figures listed, one can imagine that our windows are specialty, I'll give them that. If you have a standard home with standard windows (not over-sized or specialty), may be worth the quote. Otherwise, save yourself the time...

SIX STARS! We purchased a home, and were given all the…read morepaperwork, warranties etc. Among them was a business card, and warranty for the windows that TWO owners before had installed in 2005! Needless to say, Curtis was a much younger man in the picture on the card from 18 years before than the Curtis who did our estimate :) (sorry Curtis...) We wondered if they would still be in business? They were, and that is a testament as to the strength and success of their company. Pricing was reasonable, Curtis and Justin were personable, and professional. This was a big purchase for us, and the porches where the windows would be installed were....well, its an old farm house- so not exactly easy to fit. Our crew (Mike and Nick) could not have been more pleasant to have in our home. There are true artisans in their field, who worked quickly and un-obstusively. They cleaned up at the end of every day, and when the job was complete, it was as if they were never here. How many times have you paid a contractor a lot of money to do work and were left feeling just "OK" at the end? Too often. What a breath of fresh air. We could not be more impressed with Greater American Construction!

I was expecting to pay much more than the estimate that I immediately said yes and got on their schedule. Unfortunately COVID19 hit and the scheduled date was extended. But to my surprise they called and kept me posted on when they would be able to do my house. Once they did get to my house I was greeted by two very nice young men who were not only professional but very polite. They finished my house in about 3 days and it looks absolutely beautiful. I am very familiar with what great 'customer support' means and especially in the residential…read morewindow space. This is because my Family was in this very business for years in the Midwest. The experience we had today with Coeur D Alene Window Company and Kipton, their Territory Sales Manager, was over the top impressive. After months of research we determined that these window systems were first rate, manufactured quite well and provide wonderful insulating qualities. After the installation, we noticed some operating issues which is not unusual in as much as the units were shipped by truck from the manufacturing plant. Kipton showed up today and could not have been more personable and genuine. All while wanting to "genuinely" service the units. He has years of experience with windows and glass and it really showed. He went into great detail about the construction of the window systems and the deep dive Coeur 'D Alene takes to assure high performance and quality control. Yet it was his attention to detail in our home today which won the day. That and his generosity of spirit in taking his job and our repair very seriously. So much so, we plan to order more windows from the Prescott distributor. This is a great Company. Do the research and you can determine this for yourself.
