Such an honest car repair shop. Rich is wonderful! My Dad has been coming here for years and has always raved about them so I finally came in when I was having some car issues. My car was making a really awful grinding noise in the back left rear area anytime I braked or made a left turn. Rich and his team took a look and found a failed caliper and very worn down brakes and rotors. They called me over so I could take a look for myself. Together we checked out my car while on the bay and Rich explained to me exactly what was failing and what was going on. I felt like I got a crash course in automotive mechanic school and I liked being able to physically see the damage and what was going on. It was great and made me feel more comfortable about the work I was about to get done. For example, even though only one caliper failed, he explained that we really should do two at a time so that when I brake, my car doesn't swivel towards the direction of the newer caliper. Best to do in pairs. When it came to giving me a quote, he showed me exactly how much every part cost and why it needed to be replaced plus labor. Very reasonable price for all I had done and I'm very happy with the timeliness and quality of the work! The whole process from start to finish was awesome! read more

Rich ordered some products from me and talked me into sending them C.O.D. So I did. They turned away the FedEx guy 3 different times. They were shipped back, so we had to pay $60 MORE for the return fees! So....because of their failure to keep their word, it cost my company $409.00. I came in on the recommendation of another body shop in Lake Bluff as they were too busy for my small job. I am thrilled I did. Rich took great care with our car. I brought it in for an oil change and old lightbulb but mentioned that the engine trouble light was on. We have taken it 3 times to the Lexus dealer to have them fix it but they were unable to do so. Rich found the issue and fixed it right away. He even offered to take it to the emissions testing for us since we would be away on vacation. Superior service. I drive a pretty old car... A few months ago I noticed fluid underneath in my parking space. Brought it in (I moved to this area recently, so I simply Googled) and sure enough, I had a cracked power steering fluid pump as well as another issue. Rich answered all of my questions and also showed me the car up on the rack, so I could see for myself. I really appreciated this. The previous mechanic I used where I used to live never did anything like this, and it always felt duplicitous. Totally different here. I could see most of what Rich was saying, and his suggested course of action both addressed the issues while also keeping cost in mind. In the end, I choose to use Superior Auto for the job. Rich was honest and great to deal with during a recent auto repair. I was a long way from home and was forced to check online reviews to determine which shop to work with when my SUV broke down on the tollway. Rich's reviews are all true! Pleasant, polite, accommodating and incredibly fair with a clean shop! If he would have told me it was $300 to fix the SUV, I would have been grateful because the dealership quoted me $1,100, but instead the repair was only $85. When I asked how he got to $85, he said it took a fraction of an hour for his crew to complete the job so that is exactly what was billed! Amazing!
