It could be any combination of reasons, really... TMJ, harsh dental work, whiplash from a car accident, bad posture, typing at a desk all day, all of the above... I've seen specialists and gotten X-rays and an MRI and have pretty much given up on the finding one isolated cause. I pretty much just dedicate my paychecks to weekly massages and random massager crap that I get suckered into from instagram ads (every time!). I've been skeptical and hesitant and chiropractors and acupuncture, but I decided to finally give it another shot. Dr. Lori is sweet and friendly and doesn't seem like she's pulling my leg, unless she's literally pulling my leg (I love those stretches / spinal decompression). Next thing you know, I got readjusted, stretched, cupping, and acupuncture all on my first visit. A couple hours later, I realized that all of my usual tightness was relieved! I could feel the difference, especially in my shoulders which are used to be bulky and tight. I also haven't had the need to take tylenol for tension headaches I used to frequently get. Finding a chiropractor has been a journey for me and as a result I have moved around and am pleased to have found a chiro that is working with me to correct my alignment. As I study for the bar exam we have begun a corrective care plan where I visit 3x a week for 8 weeks then 2x a week for 6 weeks and then once a week for 3 months.
