The associate was friendly and knowledgeable and I intended to purchase a faux bamboo storage cabinet. However, the price tagged on the item was adjusted to a much higher amount following my first visit. I made them aware of the discrepancy and had the documentation to support it -- however they would not honor the original tagged price. I would be disappointed in myself if I put out the additional money - it is not how I would conduct my own business on moral principle. Alas, the place is lovely and you should definitely give it a try.

It is located across from Publix. I didn't see any spots to park by it, so you may need to park further up or find a public lot to park in. My dad decided to drop me and my mom off to check out the store while he looked for parking. It's a full store with tons of items on racks, in cases, and on shelves. You really have to scrub through to look at everything. I saw a mix of brands like Dior, Chanel, YSL, and more throughout the store. Spotted bags like the tote bag from the Chanel Surf collection and it was reasonably priced, apparel from different brands, and accessories. Prices varied on the items based on brand and condition. The gentleman behind the register was friendly, but let us shop on our own for the most part. I think his wife was working there too and she was helpful as well. She noted they do not have a dressing room, but said if you needed to try something on, you could go into the room with special occasion dresses and try things on, as there are no windows or areas where anyone outside the store could see you changing. I did try on a crop top, but wasn't sure about buying it, due to some small holes and I questioned if the brand noted on it really ever made something like that. There were some interesting things in there and I would come back to check it out if I was in the area.

I was extremely disappointed with our experience at Paradise Lost. When my niece and I arrived, two…read moreyoung women were just getting ready to leave the store. After they left, the two employees working there immediately called the owner and proceeded to describe, in detail, every item the young women had purchased. What made the experience particularly uncomfortable was that this conversation continued throughout our time in the store. Despite several attempts by my niece and me to engage the employees in conversation, they made little to no effort to acknowledge us or provide any customer service. Instead, they continued discussing the previous shoppers and their purchases, essentially ignoring the customers who were actually standing in front of them. It felt extremely disrespectful, unwelcoming, and frankly, awkward. We came in hoping to enjoy browsing a vintage consignment shop, but instead felt as though we were an inconvenience or simply invisible. Customer service matters, regardless of whether someone is making a large purchase or simply browsing. Unfortunately, our experience left a very poor impression, and we won't be rushing back.

It is a charity thrift shop run by volunteers - the best kind! Not sure what this building was beforehand, but it consists of many small rooms, and they are setup with different items and themes. This makes the place fun to explore. There is a men's room, a children's room, a kitchen room, a book and records room, etc. Some notable sections: a Christmas section, a room of mostly crystal (along with a collection of wedding bells that ring), and a religious/(Catholic?) section. Some furniture have labeled drawers where inside are treasures or additional items. I found a few scarves to take home with me. Not sure how comparable the prices are locally, but it seems to be in between the cheap and the upscale.
