ADHD/anxiety miracle? I have ADHD and high anxiety and I was not prepared for how impactful this experience would be. I've done floats before and I found them relaxing, but this was a different experience. They offer specific kinds of music you can have playing while you float and I chose "spectrum" because it said it was designed for people like me... oh boy! The music/sounds create waves in the water that you can feel. At one point there was a tone that played and my entire body tinged then there was a sensation I can only describe as melting from the inside out and then the most profound feeling of calm and relaxation I've ever experienced. Truly an awesome, rejuvenating experience! This is a beautiful facility that makes you feel at ease as soon as you walk in. There's a lobby by the receptionist where you can check in. They have a list of tracks you can get lost to during your float, or you can opt to use Spotify. If you need a suggestion, ask the staff. They are VERY helpful and sweet. Once checked in, you can go sit and relax in the waiting area where tea and water are available. There are two clean bathrooms available to use. When you're ready for your float, you can enter your designated room in the float section. They have instructions on the wall to help guide you through your experience. Feel free to enter your pod whenever you've showered and are ready. Play around with the buttons to change lighting or to turn on/off your music. PRO-TIP: once you get inside the pod, DO NOT TOUCH YOUR FACE OR EYES. It WILL burn your eyes. During the last 5min of your float, your music will come back on to signal the end of your session. After you shower and wash off the salt from your body, go enjoy the waiting room. I would recommend the oxygen bar (free for monthly members, a slight extra charge for folks without a membership). It's very refreshing. I personally have the monthly membership (~$69/month), which includes one float per month, and is the best bang for your buck IMO. With this subscription, your floats will roll over to the next month if you don't end up using them, AND you can share your floats with another person. I'm not from Fresno so didn't make it out to the spa for three months and accumulated some floats. I was able to use one of those floats and treat my sister to a float at the same time. There are other membership packages available for groups of people, more floats per month, etc. there are also individual floats available at ~$89 per float. Just make sure to call and book an appt first because there are only a certain amount of slots available for specific times during the day. Also, DONT BE LATE! This was my first time trying this out thanks to a Mother's Day gift from my husband. The place is very clean and it is a very serene and peaceful setting. There is a small lounge with a complimentary oxygen bar and hot tea. They do offer shower slippers, ear plugs, towels, and even a float neck ring (to hold up your head). You can play your own music or use the pre-programmed music with your float. It was definitely a cool and unique experience. P.S. My husband and i tried the float experience for the first time at True REST. We had an incredible experience. The staff was beyond kind, knowledgeable, accommodating and helpful. The float was so relaxing. We weren't sure what to expect, truthfully. You have a room to yourself that has the float pod and a shower. You rinse off before and after your float. They provide ear plugs, towels, shampoo, conditions, Q Tips and a blow drier. You have the option to have music on or off and have the lights on or off while floating. The water is 92-94 degrees F, which felt nice. After the float you are offered to use their oxygen bar and water or tea. I used the women's area to blow dry my hair and freshen up before leaving. They offer different kinds of memberships and deals. If you've never tried, I highly recommend! We did this as part of a date before dinner and it made for a very relaxing and fun dinner. read more

So, this was my first time and my husband's second time doing a float in salt. Oh my, it was soooooo relaxing!! It's really hard for me to go take time for myself because I am literally always on the go. Because of running around for so long, I cannot sit still. It was my husband's birthday and I bought him this Float through Yelp (awesome deal). He wanted to do a couple's thing so it was this place and a massage place. But due to covid, there weren't many options for getting couple's massage or really much of anything else. The moment we walked in, the atmosphere was so inviting and I already felt relaxed. The girl in the front (I think Lindsay) was so friendly! She had a smile on her the entire time and I truly don't think it was fake. I took noticed that when she was on the phone, she was smiling while giving customers information about setting an appointment. She explained the process very well and had us watch a quick video. After that she showed us to our float rooms. The rooms are very roomy and it had its own shower and water pod in one room. Once we exited followed her instructions. I got in the pod and just relaxed as best as I could. First laying down, I was thinking about all the things I had to do for the week. I ended up falling asleep within 15 minutes and probably slept for 30 mins. When I woke up, I wanted to get out because like I said I can't sit still. I forced myself to lay and just enjoy the moment. I loved that there was quiet relaxing music to let me know it was time to get out. My husband said he fell asleep the entire time and was afraid he was going to fall in a deep sleep and not hear the music. Luckily, the music woke him up peacefully and didn't startled him. When we got out, showered and went into the relaxing lounge, I asked Lindsay about the oxygen machine. She was getting it set up, but then told us it wasn't working so we were a little disappointed. I asked if we can just schedule an appointment just for oxygen, since we would have to pay $10 extra for the session anyway. She said we would have to book another float session in order to use the oxygen machine when it's working... She tried to sell us a membership for the float and let us know there wasn't a contract and the floats roll over to the following month if we don't use it. For me, I honestly wouldn't come back as a regular, just once in a while because I can't lay still for that long. My husband said he would but wanted to check with his mom to see if she wanted to get on a family membership with him. First time here. I heard so many great things about this place by co workers and they swore it was the best thing ever. So I really had to try it! I decided to get this as an anniversary gift for my my bf and I. I figured we both have been so busy and stressed out we definitely needed some R&R! Found vouchers on groupon and purchased two! Called to make an appointment the lady who schedule our appointment was very nice and accommodating. She explained the whole process, what to bring and what to expect. I also got text messages as reminders. You have to arrive 30mins prior to your appointment time. We came in the building the aroma was just soothing. Lauren was at the front desk she gave us spa slippers and showed us the room where they show a brief introduction video. There was 4 comfy white chairs and foot rest. We signed waivers and watch a short video of what to expect and basically the Do's and Don'ts and she also gave us water as we waited. Please be punctual and come on time because they usually group 4 people for the hour and you really want to use your full hour and make it count and not be that person everyone is waiting on. There is 4 pods with showers in each room. They were beautiful rooms. They recommend to wear loose fitting clothes so that you can easily put them on because it does get very humid in the room. They provide towels, shampoos and body wash and ear plug, hair dryer, spray deorderant, moisturizer (women's bathroom). They have an oxygen bar which is set to 10mins a session. They have a complimentary water and tea area. And in that room they also have books, and coloring book, things to do that are calming and relaxing. The staff here is BEYOND AMAZING, very kind and helpful. My pod experience was interesting I didn't know if what I was doing was "right" I had to focus on my breathing and tried to relax as much as possible. I'm pretty sure I slept about 2 times within my hour session. But I did come out feeling tired and light headed, which is an expected outcome during the first float. Try and be still as much as possible the salt water will burn your eyes and the taste is terrible too. I'm dealing with an annoying injury from running and somebody suggested trying a float spa to help. After all, soaking in epsom salt is a tried and true method, why not take a bath in 1,000 pounds of it? After some Googling, I came across True Rest and bonus points that I can walk there from my house! My review below will be super detailed for first timers/those interested in trying out this place since I understand it may feel a bit strange at first. -I used the $45 float special on their website for my first time. I think they also have Groupon deals. Upon purchase, you'll receive an email with detailed instructions for your first visit. They request you arrive 30 minutes before to watch the info video and take the suite tour, which is presented in a video format when you arrive, and you watch it in a small room. It's a great intro and very detailed! But if you miss something, there's a call button in your float pod and there's also a sign in your float room with instructions. -As the video will explain, you are floating in LOTS of epsom salt in 10" of water. You have your own room at the spa and they are simply stunning. You have a personal shower with a rainfall showerhead for your pre and post-float rinse, and they provide shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, towels, and spa shoes/slippers. The front desk will also give you Vaseline for any cuts/dry spots you have as it will sting in the salt, and some earplugs too. The pods themselves are swimsuit-optional, depends on your comfort and choice! FYI - I recommend drinking a bunch of water before and after. You will be dehydrated! Bring a comb for afterwards! If you have curly hair like me, maybe detangle beforehand. The shampoo/conditioner was pretty good quality and smelled nice too! -The pods come with colored lights, which you can switch off if you'd like to float in total darkness. I went back and forth between the two since I wasn't really there to meditate, but to help with my injury. For your first float, they play a little soothing track in the first 10 minutes and the last 5 minutes to let you know it's time to get out. -Try to not splash about in there! The water is super salty and if a single drop gets in your eye, you'll feel the burn. Speaking from experience here, haha. The floating sensation is amazing to experience, you really do feel weightless! If you are there to meditate, the intro video provided some good tips on how to let go and float. -True Rest is beautifully laid out and absolutely spotless! The staff were really friendly too. They have water/tea for guests and a flavored oxygen bar as well, something to try next time! Ample parking in the shopping center too. I loved my float experience so much that I ended up purchasing a membership, which they have really great deals on by the way - inquire at the front desk! If you have read my other reviews, you may know I am a runner and I'm hoping this will help keep my legs fresh and injury free! I was greeted by name upon entering and then taken into a room to watch an instructional video. I was given spa shoes. I then filled out a waiver. The front desk girl was very nice and informative and asked if I wanted something to drink. They have great amenities like an oxygen bar, hair dryers and makeup wipes and face care. A shower is in each room with your floating pod. The pod has different colored lighting whichever you prefer an intercom if you need help with anything. Relaxing music was playing. A combination of Groupon and curiosity got me in here last Sunday. I have mixed feelings about the experience of floating, but they don't have anything to do with the quality of the facility and the service. I'm sure that for less anxious people, this is an extremely rejuvenating experience. I have my own issues that made this more of a personal journey for me but I was still extremely happy with my experience. The staff and even the other guests were beyond pleasant, everything was set up for easy social distancing and everyone was wearing masks. The room was clean and private with its own shower. After seeing other reviews, I'm a little sad that I got the ADA room without a rain shower head, and the water pressure in the handheld showerhead was pretty sad. But otherwise, the facility was really nice and I never found myself worried about cleanliness or anything. I could see how this could be a useful therapy as an ongoing practice. True Rest Spa I would have to say it was a great experience. I was apprehensive to try float therapy. I wasn't sure what to expect. You need to arrive 1/2 ahead of your appointment time this is very important this extra time allows to get ready for your therapy by signing a questionnaire and watching a short video on what to expect. The facility was very clean and comfortable and staff was friendly. Before the session begins you have to shower, wash your hair. Change into a swim suit if you like. They provide ear plugs, slippers, towels, and white petroleum to cover any nicks in your skin. Because the water will irritate any open skin. Session is for one hour. First timers the staff will control the music do you can listen to for 15 minutes at the beginning of the float and 15 minutes at the end. The float is amazing as soon as you sit in the water you start to float very easily. It took about 30 minutes to fall asleep once I was comfortable. I think it's a good idea to be well hydrated. After the float I was a little light headed and nauseated. But I was so very relaxed my muscles were able to fully rest. It lasted for a few days. I need to make a conscious effort to try not get tensed up so much. I would do it again. read more

After trying to use the Yelp half price I paid for they said there was no coupon code but just Groupon. So Yelp ripped me off. Not their fault here, they did fix it. I just wanted to let others know to go with Groupon Instead. As of now, the Yelp coupon is still on there. As far as the place, this was different. Others I know love it. I had a hard time relaxing the whole time. You can get up if you want to. I was amazed at how the salt lifts you up to float. My neck was hurting me so I think that's why I didn't enjoy it as much as others. After I paid they told me there is something you can put under your head when you float. It helps with your neck pain I guess. The girl had told me to push the bottom for music but I could barely hear it and not for that long. I kept trying and it never came back on. The last 10 min I wasn't sure if it was done or what so I got out and then the bubbles came on. I didn't hear the music to say it was over. Maybe it was only heard underwater? I'm not sure. Also, I did notice when I got in the pod was warm, but not hot. After an hour it was to cold for me. There are just a few things I wish we were told on the first visit like you can tell them you want it hotter... Or that the music won't play the whole time. I would have liked to hear music the whole time. It looks like you can have your own phone with music but I wasn't sure how it worked. My husband and I made our appointment. We showed up to our appointment but the receptionist said that she forgot to call to let us know that we needed to be there 30 minutes before our appointment. She said they could not take us in. I was charged $50 for a "no show" fee, even though we did show up. Additionally, it was $45/person for the first visit. It was NOT advertised that we have to attend a 30 minute seminar before our first time appointment. Incredibly friendly staff and owners. I talked to Krista first when I scheduled the appointment and she was such a doll! This was my first float so I was a little nervous I wasn't going to be able to relax and enjoy my float. But Kelly was so friendly and helped me ease my mind. There is an intercom in the floatstion pod if you ever feel claustrophobic or need anything. It does take about 30 minutes to get use to the feeling of floating in water that is the same as your body temperature so you feel weightless. Just keep telling yourself to relax and try to keep your mind from wondering. I would use the float pillow--I didn't and regret it a little bit.
