Agree. The reviews here are older but 100% accurate. Nothing has changed with this rude old man. He was easily irritable. I watched him enter through the backyard, look at the pool, and walk out. When I called to ask him why he didn't service my pool, he said "I don't work in the rain". It wasn't even raining! On another occasion, he told me I needed a pool pump, which would cost $1200. He didn't even look at it! After investigating it myself, it was a simple adjustment that corrected the problem. I was paying for full service and had to call him on multiple occasions to inform him that his helper, presumably his grandson, was not cleaning it fully. read more

Our pool company that we had for years sold to Clay about 6 months ago. I was worried when I read the negative reviews about his service, but we honestly can't be more pleased. when i first hired Clays Pool service he got my pool looking great. after a year he started charging me extra for chlorine and other chemicals. then he started comingand would look at the pool, add two chlorine tablets to the intake and leave. He didnt clean the pool or the sides or even empty the strainer and the pool was turning green. when i called his "company" and his wife answered i toldherhe was here for less than five minutes a day did nothing but put 2 tablets in the pool. she said she would talk to him . I got my phone and went around the pool and made a video of how he left things. The next day I called her back and asked when he was coming back to fix my pool she said that he told her he did everything and i told her he was a liar and that he didnt do ant anything. needless to say, i sent her the video of the pool and said this is the evidence of how he left my poll. I'm like everyone else, wish I had read the reviews FIRST. He was always pleasant with me BUT I have asked him to talk to me about any repairs first which he has not done. I checked my spa, which is for sale, to see how it was doing and what a nightmare. I was out cleaning up the spa which was out of chlorine when a young man showed up, apparently Clay's grandson. He stated that he had been doing my service for a month, I asked if he was aware of the spa and he said yes. I asked the last time he serviced the spa and he replied two weeks ago I replied the spa float was out of chlorine which he replied "and". He became even more rude after that and asked me for a check which I had no clue what he was talking about and I told him he had no business asking me for a check that I pay online, which he stated I was behind on my account, what a little azz. Then he refused to do my service that day and left because I was rude WTH. Anyway they had me owing $675 but couldn't give me a break down what for and when I stated I from now on I wanted a break down of charges they no longer wanted to service me and find another company. Now I know they have been overcharging me for sometime now and double charging me for services. I don't know who that young mans parents are but he needs a good slap in the mouth like I would have done to my child. If I could give this guy negative stars, I would. He's a complete a hole. He was so incredibly rude to me I was baffled and speechless. I asked him guestions on what to do with algae, he told me nothing. There's literally nothing I can do. I can quote "spend two hours of my day vacuuming it" and that's my only solution. This old guy is incredibly rude. He served my pool for one month and did a very poor job. Did not even sweep or brush pool. Then wanted to charge me $180 extra to throw some chemicals in my pool to get rid of phosphates but said you either agree to his price right now on the spot or find another pool guy. I said I wanted to research what he was putting in and what it costs for me to put it in my pool myself. He said I couldn't do that. Terrible customer service, I called the guy about a problem with my pump... He was nice enough to come by the same day... Took a look and said I only do repair service for customers who use my monthly service...your pump has too many minor problems I don't want to get into.. Complained his truck runs on diesel.. Meaning he wasted his gas to come look at my pump... And walked away...My husband and I just stood there stunned lol.. Real nice Clay.. Think it's time u retire read more
