    Still empty at noon!
    Amy L.

My boyfriend loves rock climbing so I tag along with him to different climbing gyms. To be honest, I really suck in climbing (small hands, short limbs) plus I have fear of hights and don't enjoy getting scratches and bruises... oh well, I guess I am just a perfect girlfriend :) Anyway, I really like True North: nice people, color-coded routes, lots of space, and the best part is that it's almost empty mid day on weekdays, so I am not ashamed struggling on 5.6 and 5.7 routes :)

Great gym for bouldering toprpping and lead! Set very frequently. Day passes can be a bit pricey but monthly is worth it.

Great gym. I have been climbing there for a few years, and they always update the walls. Very helpful and friendly staff. Clean.

Make sure to click the email confirmation link. The gym is bouldering only with 2 large walls with climbs rated by a numbering system. The holds still feel really new so prepare to lose some skin. I did see that they have bandages at the front if you do get cut up. In terms of amenities, there are cubbies for your belongings, and a coat hanger for jackets. They also have the fancy water refill stations that you see at the airport. I was really impressed with the setting. I'm a pretty average climber but there were lower level climbs that were still interesting and not just up and down ladders. It keeps things interesting. The owner, Brian, came over once to check on me during my climbing session and to get feedback which I appreciated. I also confirmed that well-behaved dogs are allowed in the gym!

Chris was working reception when we arrived, and he was incredibly helpful with shoe rentals and for tips while trying different climbs! He was very friendly and was efficient in giving us a quick rundown of the gym. They even have a wall where people can take a climbing break to draw pictures and make requests for specific climbs. I will definitely be returning to climb again!

For four weeks he got to try everything from cooking to rock climbing to science and robotics to magic. He even held a snake. Every day he came home and told us about the cool stuff he did (and learned). Whether he dressed as a superhero for theme days or got to meet real heroes during a fire/police/EMS visit, his days were full and he came home happy (and tired). Even better: we chose Zodiac because they also run their own swim school and provide swimming lessons every day. After a few false starts with other programs, we wanted "the driest kid in the class" to learn to love swimming. Mission accomplished. Our kid, who used to spend most of his swimming lessons negotiating to stay out of the water was thrilled to show us how he jumped in by himself, put his face in the water and kicked up a storm...it was cute, but we had to explain the difference between the pool and his bathtub at home His counsellors were well-trained and attentive, and as a parent I appreciated frequent updates and communication from Camp staff. We couldn't have asked for a better first camp experience and look forward to sending him (and his little sister) next year.

I think this room is for the lazy people lol... Not that I'm complaining, but here's why. Two reasons... 1. A really small room... Really small. So not much walking around and space to look at clues for. 2. You don't even really need all the clues. With the locks that they used, eventually you can just guess the last number or letter and you're fine. Actually on the very last lock, I guessed 4 out of 5 and was able to open the lock (one of it was given as an example). You really, really have to pay attention though, because every little details have meaning, something we didn't even notice. Overall, it was fun. It's a good place to try out and test how escape rooms are like. One thing I wish they did was tell us how to open the locks. I mean, there were locks we've never used before. If we didn't ask for a clue, we wouldn't be able to open the locks... Period.. Because we weren't resetting it properly. Basically we had the codes to open it, but we didn't know how to use the lock... At all. Unless that's part of the game haha. Still, good place to check out. Oh, also, it's on the second floor. There's a small doorway leading to the second floor. The start of the game is solving the problem of how to get to them, ha! :p

A senior lady moved into a Tvm apartment last year. Since then her health has deteriorated…read morehorrifically and there are 17 steep stairs to climb to get to her apartment, and she is unable to walk afterwards without having excruciating pain. Therefore, she has to stay in her apartment and depend on other tenants to help her, sometimes, for days until the pain decreases. She is the nicest lady I have ever met, and would undoubtedly be upset if she knew I was writing this, but in all honesty this is abuse. She recently found another place to live in a house with NO stairs, and once the woman (me) heard her situation, I had to offer her a place to live. She contacted the company, Tvm, and was told that she had to pay 2 additional months before she could move, even with her physical condition, not to mention her well aged years. He also told her not to tell anyone that she was moving! Why would he say that unless he was going to "double rent" her apartment after she left? Why would he be so calloused as to prevent her from leaving when she has such bad health issues and has already paid last month's rent? There is too nice to fight but when I see how people are taking advantage, I step in. There is absolutely NO PROBLEM renting that apartment. There is such a shortage in Cobourg, and she isn't allowed to sublet. Unless this company helps this poor woman, I will take this further to the media, social media, and a petition. it is just disgusting that there are people and companies in this world who don't give a damn about our aging people. Maybe once they get to be 80, they will understand regret what they did this week Donna Woods
