This leads to much better retention of the moves. Very reasonably priced too. By all means check it out!

I still have no rhythm, but the classes are welcoming and I feel comfortable stumbling along about a half beat behind the instructor. I've mostly stuck to the beginner belly dancing classes, but I've also made it out to ladies burlesque night and just recently to the chub club dance party kick-off. That last event was a ton of fun, and like all of dance life's classes was a great mix of ages, sizes, and dance experience. Once you attend your first class, the rest of your groupon classes never expire, so even if you can't make it out regularly it's still a good deal!

I've been a student here since January 2013 and became a volunteer instructor in August of 2013. Most, if not all, of the instructors here are volunteers. We all have "day jobs" but we love this place and owner Arielle so much that we teach classes in exchange for taking classes. Dance Life offers fitness classes such as Zumba, piyo, piloxing, Oula, dance classes like bellydance and ballet, and crossover classes like 'tone and tease' and burlesque fitness. The main entry has a cozy lobby space with overstuffed sofas, chairs, and decorative pillows where we all gather before classes begin. There is a changing area, two restrooms and a water dispenser in case you forgot your water bottle. Classes happen in either the large Sultana Studio or the smaller Peacock Studio. I'll post a photo of the wonderful peacock mural next time I'm at the studio. There is a small shop where you can stock up on bellydance hip scarves and other dance apparel. There is also a small practice studio that students can rent. In fact, when classes aren't in session the whole studio is available to rent! Parking spots are located along the walls of the building. It can get a little crowded on busy nights like special ladies nights events but it's usually not an issue. Come check it out, you just may find your home away from home.

I especially love the variety of classes offered throughout the week. I love Amy's kundalini class. It's a treat to have kundalini classes available in Fitchburg. Katie's gentle yoga class is usually very balanced and perfect anytime of the day. Keith and Sean offer some awesome vinyasa classes to work up a great sweat. If power yoga is your speed, there's quite a few options to choose from also. I can go on and on about all of the instructors and how great they are... You'll have to go and see for yourself! The views over the prairie are really amazing and peaceful. The outdoor trail behind the building is really nice to stroll along before or after class. It's really nice when they open the doors on nice weather days to hear the birds outside. They offer mats and props to use for their classes. I like that there's a cafe to grab something to eat/drink before or after class. It's a vegan cafe with lots of options to fill you up. Sometimes, the classes fill up and I've been turned away multiple times. They do have an online class registration app that's handy to use. I suggest doing so to get a space in class.

I started attending hot yoga classes at Dragonfly about three months ago when my friend convinced…read moreme to attend a class with her. We signed up for a 'Slow Flow' class, which in my opinion is the perfect class to try out if you are newer to yoga like I was. After that first hot yoga class I immediately cancelled my gym membership at another facility and signed up for the monthly membership at Dragonfly because I had completely fallen in love with it. I had never done yoga (much less HOT yoga) before coming to Dragonfly, but this place completely blew away any preconceived notions or expectations that I may have had going in: - The facilities are always kept very clean (no matter which location I am at). - Signing up for and cancelling classes is extremely easy (especially with their handy-dandy app). - The variety of classes and time options available throughout the day are incredibly convenient for anyone's schedule. - Every single staff person and instructor I have come into contact with thus far, have been nothing less than extremely welcoming and genuinely excited to be teaching their classes. I simply cannot say enough positive things about Dragonfly!

You even have the option of adding the class to your personal calendar after you've signed up. All of this, right at your fingertips, literally. Since I downloaded the app, I haven't logged into Dragonfly's website from my laptop once! Pretty sweet, right? Bravo, Dragonfly, bravo! How I wish all yoga studios would do this for their dedicated yogis. Great job with the app development, Dragonfly! (:
