I had developed a bad case of dark circles and lower eye bags, as well as those notorious nasolabial folds, which makes you look extremely old. As a man, I never thought I would ever have to use these types of services, so going in her office the first time was extremely nerve wracking. It took me several months of checking reviews and research before I decided to see Sonia. To me, what set her apart from other places was her willingness to work with anyone. I have heard horror stories of other places who were not so welcoming, but Sonia wasn't like that. Both her and her assistant, Marisela, are very down to earth. Sonia will also take the time to get to know you. She doesn't just inject you and go...she actually makes a great effort to get to know what your lifestyle is like, something I feel is very helpful when trying to get to know your customer. For the treatment, she recommended a mix of Resty filler and Botox for my forehead lines. The effect of the filler was instantaneous. My harrowing smile lines began to go away and my face started to look more rested. After three weeks, it's hard to notice there were even lines there to begin with. Lack of Communication and Professionalism I originally booked with this business as a first-time patient for lip filler in May of this year. I had no previous filler and was happy with my initial results. I did have a few questions regarding my treatment and the possibility of adding more filler, which I reached out to ask via text. At no point was I rude or disrespectful. Recently, I sent a DM asking if I could book another appointment for November. I was told yes and provided with a booking link. When I attempted to schedule, the website showed available appointments, but I was unable to proceed past the payment screen to enter my card information. Understanding that booking systems can experience technical issues, I reached out via text for assistance. I was then told that Sonia was not accepting any additional appointments, followed by being told she was out of town for personal reasons and that they did not know when she would be seeing clients again. Naturally, I was confused by the conflicting information, especially since I had just been encouraged to book. Out of curiosity, I created a new account using my husband's phone number and was able to proceed with booking and entering my payment information without any issues. When I brought this to their attention, I was told that if I booked, my appointment would be canceled. I expressed that it appeared I had been blocked from booking and asked for clarification. Instead of receiving a clear explanation, I was told that my accusations were not appreciated and that they did not want me as a patient. I agreed that I would not want to continue receiving services somewhere I felt unwelcome. What makes this situation even more concerning is that my coworker contacted the business to inquire about a new patient appointment and was told she could book, and that Sonia would be accepting new patients after November 5. The inconsistency in communication and the way this situation was handled were extremely disappointing. If there was an issue or the provider no longer wished to see me as a patient, I would have preferred honest and direct communication rather than conflicting explanations and a defensive response when I asked a reasonable question. I understand that a provider has the right to choose whom they treat, but patients also deserve transparency, respect, and professionalism. I was happy with my initial results, which makes this experience all the more disappointing. I have screenshots documenting the communication and can support the details of my experience. I purchased a full syringe for lip filler ($525) upon looking at her instagram work which is indeed phenomenal. When I got to my appt, she started talking about how Botox (lip flip) would be needed for my lip ( which I understand). I showed her an inspiration of her own work that was similar to my lip shape. She said she will only really inject 0.7 instead of a full syringe. (Umm what?) I sort of politely challenged it and she said you're really paying for "the full experience and the numbing injections etc). At the end of it all, there is barely ANY difference in my starting lip and my results which is pretty disappointing. Also did not get the height in upper lip that I wanted. She got very defensive when I mentioned that and said that what I want is only achieved through surgery even though she had done it on another client. Overall not very impressed with her attitude or work (personally). 3/5 because not bad but not great either. All I wanted is her own work replicated which wasn't at all achieved. read more

I purchased full syringe. I showed picture and said, my top lip needs to be filled. My bottom lip was fine just needed freshening up. She did say, "you know when you sweat filler lessens." When she said that in my head I was thinking is this a pre-warning because what is being done is going to fade fast. I usually get to see the product, she numbed me up so much I couldn't feel, and I trusted her. Yup!!! It was exactly what happened. I've been getting my lips filled for years, every time I get filler it lasts me a long time. After I was injected and the swelling went down by the next week, I have ZERO filler like if nothing has been done. Wasted my money. So, I'm a scared, over-thinking, paranoid baby when it comes to anything involving my face. Even routine dental procedures make me nervous. But after seeing True Essence Aesthetics on IG for a few months, I decided to make an appointment for two small procedures. And yes, there are SO many cosmetic treatment places on social media, but what sold me was: 1) the before and after pics (no overdone overtly fake-looking stuff), 2) the informative posts, and 3) Sonia's face, which is beautifully natural-looking. BEWARE! Before you think of booking Sonia for your injectables please consider my story. I was getting under eye PRF injections (first time) she did one eye and I felt like I was going to faint. I became sick. When I told Sonia the first words out of her mouth was "oh god" in an annoyed tone. She was very cold and not nurturing and comforting as I was laying down feeling sick. She seemed more annoyed than anything and told me she wasn't going to do my other eye. By the way she said I was the 6th person in a week this has happened to!! Her bed side manner handling this situation was not okay. As a service provider and nurse it is her job to comfort and reassure me that everything is going to be okay. Instead I felt scolded by her and she also made me feel like I wasn't wanted there. After talking to others, other girls have told me it's common for people to faint with injectables so I'm not too sure why she was treating me like a nut case. She showed no care at all didn't even bother to follow up to see how I was doing the next day. It was time to pay and she was very standoffish and told me to just come back the following week for the other eye and I paid her $400. I left and that was it it was very awkward. 20 mins later she called and said she's cancelling my next appointment because she spoke with her medical director and now I need to get a medical clearance letter to come back. The conversation was very cold and short and all I said was okay. The time and effort to make a doctors appointment, get blood work done, get a chest xray, get a EKG was a lot! I have such a busy life and I did all this because I'm trying to work with her. I received medical clearance and she told me I cannot come back for treatment. She totally disregarded my medical clearance and just seems to find one excuse after another to not see me anymore. She said because of how i reacted I can't come back. Okay so first of all she didn't say anything of this when I gave her $400!!! She took my money no problem and said I CAN come back After that she has made it a mission to find any excuse to not see me anymore. I'm clearly upset by how I'm being mistreated and instead of her acting professional she yelled at me on the phone, talked to me like I'm a dumbass, and told me the world doesn't stop just because I'm trying to fix this urgent matter. She's coming with every excuse as to why I can't go back but never mentioned any of these reasons when she booked my follow up appointment and took my money!! I'm sorry but I'm a hard working girl and I was excited to finally treat myself and she completely ruined the experience I do not have $400 just laying around! Nor do I have the time to deal with her psychotic and unprofessional episodes ! She is far from professional and I feel completely robbed of my money just to only have one eye done! She does not know the meaning of good customer service! The way she was acting did not make me feel any better too!! Met with Sonia today for the first time and was instantly greeted by her warm and calm demeanor. I was a little nervous today because although I've previously had Botox done before, I went in for a completely different procedure (initially PRF treatment). After consulting with Sonia and her analyzing my face, she recommended cheek filler to help fill in the hollow area underneath my eyes and I was all for it. She took her time, making sure I was okay throughout the process and making small talk in between but all in all, the process was quite painless.
