Kim is the coolest dental hygienist I've ever had. she takes time to explain everything. She calls you by name and ask you about your family. I can tell she cares lot about your oral health. She is thorough with her work and provides great pt education. When Kim is working on me I usually fall asleep because she is very gentle working in your mouth around those sensitive areas. The office is great, clean, easy parking and everyone who works there is always happy/ smiling. I will definitely miss Dr. Marcum but I heard Dr. True is amazing, too. read more

Always nice to be warmly greeted by Nita Sheppard, who's smile makes my day. Julia took my x-rays, and she is just wonderful - very friendly and caring. Have had Kristi Fisher as my hygienist for the second time, and she is wonderful! Very thorough, and helpful in showing me how to use the tools provided to help prevent gum disease. Also, great conversations, even with "stuff" in my mouth. Sara was also very friendly when it came time to schedule future appointments and make payment. And Alina True is such a cool dentist - so friendly and easy going, and careful to show me everything I went through, and future appointments. Overall, I'm very happy to be a patient here! read more

I am an older guy and have been to many many dentists over the years. Without exception, (and because I have been deathly afraid of them), my experience this morning was the most pleasant experience I've ever experienced. These folks are really good. Professional...personal, and caring. Give them a 6 star if it was available! read more

The staff were friendly, and professiona. The lady at the front desk was very helpful.

Dr Marcum himself and his staff are wonderful. The quality of care is outstanding. I highly recommend this team for your dental needs.

From the moment you walk in you are greeted by the best office staff! And it continues when they bring you back to the chair! Kim is my dental hygienist and I cannot give her enough praise. She is kind, caring, gentle, knowledgeable, and so friendly. She made me feel so comfortable and explained the process on how to get me back on track. It had been about seven years since my last cleaning, maybe more - and she has made me so much more confident with my smile! Thank you for everything you do Miss Kim! read more

My experience was great, very good team of dental hygienists! They took great care of my teeth.

Everything top-notch from friendliness and cleanliness to all staff being GREAT at their jobs! I was a little worried I might not like Dr. True quite as much as Grant ... I'm happy to report I was wrong. She's a true professional with a wonderful bedside manner. As I'm the world's biggest chicken when it comes to dentists, take it from me ... she is WONDERFUL. MY assistant was fabulous as well but I cannot remember his name!! ... read more

After years of being with Dr. Marcum I was sorry to hear that he was retiring. Dr. True has taken over the practice and she is simply wonderful. The transition for me was seamless. Nita has helped on more than one occasion with scheduling matters. Kim is a wonderful hygienist who is gentle and thorough. I have had a couple of dental issues come up recently. One was urgent; she diagnosed the issue and set me up with a local endodontist that was able to help me quickly. The other issue was taken care of in her office after using a high-tech imaging system to confirm the diagnosis. She took the time to explain to me what was shown on the monitor. That too was taken care of quickly. I highly recommend True Dental Studio if you are looking for high-quality, compassionate care. read more

It is great to go to a dental office that doesn't insist on doing x-rays every six months--which are not necessary in my case. Tammy did a terrific cleaning and the whole staff is friendly! read more

Always professional and the staff is great! Dr. Marcus is a wonderful dentist and very caring.

This was my first visit with this dental office. I don't think you could find staff any more patient, kind and helpful. Dr. Marcum was very thorough, explained what was happening with my teeth and what my options were. Very glad I will be their patient! read more

First time with hygienist Kim and I was impressed with her work and professionalism! I felt at ease and comfortable.

I only started seeing Dr. Marcum less than a year but both visits have been great! Do to family events, I hadn't seen a dentist for a couple of years and couldn't be happier that I was able to get an appointment in a timely manner. The dentist and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Dr. Marcum and his staff! read more

Dr. Marcum and staff are top notch. Great attention to detail and care. Pick up a bottle of their award winning Olive Oil. Amazing.

Amazing staff! Tammy is the BEST !! They are all caring, thoughtful, kind, and do a great job.

My care by the back office was good. However, when it came to making a 3rd appointment for dental cleaning, with a diagnosis of periodontitis, which I am entitled to under Delta Insurance; they refused to give me an appointment. I made several calls and even spoke to the office manager. Comprehensive Periodontics has followed me for over a year for treatment of Periodontitis. I have kept all the appointments, despite the costs, since they are out of Network. The office manager at Dr. Marcum's office, where I receive regular dental cleaning maintenance, would not work with me on an appointment, despite my scheduled foot surgery, due to rigid rules. I had to go for a dental cleaning elsewhere, and will not return. read more

Type of business looking out to make money only, over care. Front staff, billing and dentist/owner are very rude. Dentist/owner did a new patient exam that latest Only about 5mins. Only positive was great, friendly hygienist. Had our previous family dentist for over 10 years but recently moved. Wish there were more honest reviews on here so we wouldn't have gone here at all. Found a new dentist who did a proper, through job and is very nice. read more

Grant was nice, but he gave me a huge list of work I "needed" to be done. Stuff no other dentist had ever said I had. I felt over diagnosed. I just thought it was a bit much and my previous dentist in Bakersfield had never mentioned most of it (and it was a huge place and loved revenue) His receptionist and his bookeeper were awesome. I was greeted with smiling faces on arrival and departure. I'm sure if someone came in terrified they would put a smile on their face before they hit the chair. Once I got home read this list of problems that my previous dentist in Bakersfield ever mentioned. I called and asked his receptionist to email my new x-rays to my dentist in Torrance and she was super nice about it. I was not expecting that! She even CC'd into the email that was done in a few minutes. Again I was surprised by her efficiency. What the heck, A 4 hour drive back to my dentist that I've known for more than 35 years. It's worth the trip and I trust him totally. I'll be able to be able to stay a couple days to visit old friends. Win win read more

I recently had the opportunity to visit Marcum's office again after having moved away for a few years. I'm so thankful I went back because they are exceptional. Everyone from Amber at the front desk, to Tammy who did my cleaning & the dental assistants who help him. They are all so professional, kind & helped me every step of the way. I would highly recommend them read more

Is anyone in charge? Dentist is very impersonal and acts like it is a bother to see you. They brought me in for an appointment but I didn't know they wanted me to see another dentist first. So it was a huge waste of my time. They made me a mouth guard that is causing me a lot of chewing pain. WTF!! Avoid like the plague. Changing dentists ASAP! read more
