First- 2 visits ago they had him listed as a 2 year old. He's been going there 3 years so it's not possible for him to age backwards. Plus they have his file scanned from his adoption showing his birthdate. I informed them he was 6. My most recent visit I see on his file that he is now 4. I crossed it out and changed it again back to 6. The reason this is serious to me is because they keep referencing his age when analyzing his conditions and saying blah blah "for such a young cat." But he's not 2. Or 4. He's 6. And his name also is not Oliver... I went in on a Monday and had bloodwork done. They were supposed to call the next day with results but didn't. And not the next day either. His vet had gotten sick and called out and it would've been under her specific file to call me, but given I had called inquiring I feel a different professional should've been able to at least convey the results to me more quickly. Finally, today I dropped him off at 7:45 for an ultrasound. I had been under the impression and told that it would occur between 9-12. I just called and the tech didn't even get there until after 11. Now he has to sit there for a bit longer and I had been counting down minutes to get his results. I loved this vet and I'm really sad about what's happening there. Not sure if the switched systems or something but normally they, and especially Kim, are super good at communicating and doing everything they can. Now I feel weird leaving him with them because they don't even know his name... age... when the doctor will be there...

Gracie, our 19 year old…read morecat, was dying of old age and Claire, the other cat, was suffering from a cancerous growth in her nose. During this difficult time, Dr. Andy and the entire staff have offered unwavering support and practical help. Sometimes the treatments seemed costly, but these veterinarians made sure to choose cost-effective options that would ensure our cats received the optimal care. When we had to make tough choices, such as whether to consult a specialist about Claire's cancer, Dr. Andy always explained the options thoroughly and made it clear that the choices such as radiation therapy or palliative treatment were ours to make. I would recommend Dr. Andy and his staff unconditionally.

He was supposed to be my son's new fur baby. Whatever happened to this feline must have been really bad. After five months of love, attention, heartbreak and many, many, many bites and scratches I regretfully had to admit that this wasn't the right pet for my tender hearted son. When we took him back, not only did they compassionately console us.... We were hysterically crying.... But even after all of the time that we had him, they allowed him to choose another kitty. By then, kittens were born. We chose the most adorable, lively, gentle like fur ball ever! My son loves him so much! It is priceless to watch them grow up together. Precious! The other cat will be turned in to be a farm cat. I didn't know that they had a program allowing cats like this one to be a barn cat. Catching mice and other little barn critters to his heart's desire! That is awesome! Those that run the dumb friends league are truly special people. What a wonderful happy ending, right?! Now, we have two cats and two dogs. We could not love these fur babies more! So happy together!

My experience with Freedom Service Dogs was incredibly disappointing and, at times, emotionally…read moredifficult. I entered the program seeking support for PTSD and expected a trauma-informed environment. Instead, I experienced situations that felt triggering and did not feel supported when challenges came up. The structure of the program felt rigid, and there did not seem to be enough flexibility for someone actively working through trauma. The hardest part was being awarded a service dog and then having it taken away. That was not only upsetting, but it also felt destabilizing after investing emotionally in the process. I believe organizations working with PTSD should prioritize understanding, flexibility, and meeting clients where they are. That was not my experience here. I would encourage others to ask very specific questions about how PTSD is supported before committing to this program.

Dahlia was rescued from a puppy mill found in Texas and brought to Co. Allison was Dahlia's trainer she did a fantastic job any time we're out and about I get comments how they can tell Dahlia is a "real" Service Dog she is skillfully trained when I needed help I got the support I needed from FSD. Brenna was and has been my best supporter and educator she's been with me from day one I couldn't have done it with out these two wonderful people to understand what a service dog is and how to live together as a team. Things change FSD has a puppy program now OMG they are so cute they don't use rescues as before they know these dogs from the time they're born. Dahlia is getting near retirement she has gray hair around her face so I'm doing the paperwork for a successor service dog and I'll adopt Dahlia so she can be a spoiled pet. If you're looking for a service dog look into FSD they are a wonderful organization.

WE ARE SO FURIOUS!! AN ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE SHELTER. DO NOT RESCUE FROM HERE…read more My mom had applied to adopt a cat from this place over two weeks ago. The director said the cat she was interested in wasn't up for adoption yet and she would have to wait. After many days of my mom calling and talking to the lady she basically said that the cat was already hers she just had to wait for him to be available. Today my mom called the shelter again and the director said THAT THEY GAVE THE CAT AWAY!!!! my mom was so devastated. We just lost our family dog and she was so excited and looking forward to getting a new cat. The director said it was because they had heard my mom say she was going to make it an outdoor cat, WHICH IS COMPLETELY FALSE. first, my mom would never do that. She specifically wants a cuddly indoor kitty as a companion, second the shelter specifically said she cant have an outdoor cat and my mom agreed with that part of the contract. It makes absolutely no sense. I could tell from the very beginning something was off about this rescue and I was right. I'm not sure what they're doing over there but whatever it is it's not good. We will probably be getting in contact with a lawyer. DO NOT ADOPT FROM HERE!!!

This was about 2 days before Christmas. I was contacted by one of their adoption coordinators not long after and by New Year's Day I was having a meet-and-greet with my potential kitty. Meet and greet went awesome and I signed the adoption papers that day. In less than a week I'd found my new buddy! The adoption cost ($75) covered neuter, vaccines, microchip and more. I felt great knowing I was rescuing a safe and healthy animal. His foster mom was fantastic as were all the Pawsco people I interacted with. Everyone was very helpful and responsive - it was an easy process and I would recommend them to anyone looking to adopt a pet.

First - getting a dog should never be an impulse decision. However, sometimes you just have to go…read morewith your gut, and my gut told me getting a dog from My Fairy Dawg Mother was the right decision. This is a long one, so stick with me here.... I happened to be on Facebook one afternoon after having a suddenly clear schedule, and boom! This ADORABLE little face popped up in my feed. I felt like the Grinch, my heart swelling up to three times its normal size. I wanted, no, NEEDED this puppy. I don't know what I was thinking. I had a senior cat, 2 other dogs, was recovering from a severe injury, and was also a full time graduate student in Boulder. Yeah. But that FACE. It spoke to me. After discussing it with my husband, we decided it would be worth making the effort to add to our family. We contacted MFDM, and put in our application. Sadly, the little face we fell in love with went to a family that same day. We were CRUSHED. Lets recap: Thursday - no interest in getting a new dog. Friday - fall in love with dog. Saturday - learn dog is not available. Be sad. Sad sad sad. Sunday morning, we were still sad....and then my phone rang. It was the Fairy Dawg Mother herself!!! She was calling to let me know that the little face I fell in love with was being returned to his foster home, because he wasn't a fit for the family that wanted him originally. My husband and I were OVERJOYED. This wasn't a simple "ok, lets go see him" - we KNEW he was meant to be ours. We drove to the foster's home that afternoon, and welcomed our new handsome boy into our lives. Now - it's easy enough to say that it's a great story to meet the dog we love. But even better, here is what made it worth adopting from MFDM: 1. The focus is on finding the RIGHT home for the dog. When my boy's potential parents decided he wasn't the right fit, MFDM took him back ASAP. 2. Foster care, not shelter care. The dogs brought under the MFDM umbrella are immediately cared for in homes, given training, and integration into a pack. This is good, because that means they don't suffer any more. Many of the dogs are rescued from high stress/high kill shelters. It's a lot of work to go from that environment to a house/family setting. 3. The rescue is small and personalized. No large corporate style structure here, where checkboxes and numbers are the primary motivation. They are all about the dogs. 4. Small, but professional. Each dog is microchipped, vaccinated, and spayed/neutered, and all pet parents are advised about responsible pet ownership. When you adopt from MFDM, you become a part of their family, whether you want to or not! They are here for the dogs, first and foremost. Isn't that the kind of people you want in your, and your pets, corner? I sure do. Give them a call today, and you just might find your new best friend.

That you were told unless we received proof of said training that this adoption would never be finalized.
