Unnecessarily rough and painful. Unclear why anyone needs to apply the wax SO FORCEFULLY. Alaina pressed down way harder than needed. There were small scabs at the outer ends of my brows. I flinched a couple of times but that made no difference. To top that off she spent the time asking personal questions and scolding and judging . Guess she somehow believes she's a tree of wisdom. Grow up. Not worth the PAIN !!!!!! Update/response from Alaina received. Not surprised that it's defensive with the phony thank you. Looks like after 16 years in the industry there's a great deal of room for growth. Guess it hadn't occurred to her that the Yelp name isn't necessarily the name of the consumer. I don't need the question about growth. That's something Alaina can improve by examining her behavior with clients. Best of luck with your attitude. I have never been so happy with the results of getting my eyebrows waxed until I met Alaina. I have had so many terrible wax and shaping jobs over the years that I pretty much gave up on ever finding someone to help me with my brows. Although I robbed my daughter of the awkward rite of passage of over tweezing her own brows, we are both so happy to have Alaina do our brows! When my daughter first asked about her brows, I knew I wanted someone that would be calm, patient, and provide a relaxing atmosphere so my daughter wouldn't be nervous. Alaina does just that every time we go in. For my daughter, Alaina keeps her natural shape and just cleans them up. As for myself, I have had the unfortunate history of over tweezing my brows (bad 90s trend). I let them grow for 6 weeks untouched (ahhh!) At the first session, Alaina helped to reshape them. After several sessions of going in about every 4-5 weeks, my brows have their natural shape back, which means I only need to use a little brow powder to fill in some sparse spots.
