Horrible customer service for my elderly father. Will not be going back. Manager is not helpful

Took my car in for repairs and the car runs worse. Very incompetent technicians, unexperienced employees. Manager was extremely rude. Didn't seem to own up to shops mess ups. Obviously they know how social media works. I hope no one comes here, i do not trust these people with my cars ever. read more

my experience was far from satisfactory. I brought my car in for a routine oil change and a check-up, but the service I received was disappointing. Firstly, the staff was not very welcoming or attentive. I had to wait for a long time before anyone acknowledged my presence, even though the shop was not busy at the time. When I finally spoke to someone, they seemed disinterested and rushed through the explanation of the services they would provide. Moreover, the estimated time for the service was supposed to be an hour, but I ended up waiting for over two hours without any updates. When I inquired about the delay, the staff was unable to provide a clear answer and seemed annoyed by my questions. To make matters worse, when I finally got my car back, I noticed that the oil change light was still on. I had to return to the shop to have them fix this oversight, which was an inconvenience and a waste of my time. Overall, the lack of professionalism and attention to detail at [Car Shop Name] was disappointing. I would not recommend this shop to others based on my experience. This time around I got : Main drive belt replaced Tension kit replaced 2 new tires Rotors and pads in the front New brake pads rear Tire pressure sensor replaced Oil change A few days after I noticed that my tire was once again low on air. I assumed that the wrong sensor was replaced, and I was wrong. I had a nail in the opposite tire ! I had an issue with my SuperBee having a tick I asked the guys to take a look and diagnose it for me. Through each layer of inspection I was kept informed of what was going on and got approval before further diagnosis was performed more in-depth of the engine. Although it was unfortunate I needed a need engine (known issue with 392's .) The team was super helpful finding me a new engine and minimizing my cost! Thanks ! read more

I'll never take another one of my vehicles to this place. Pretty strong comment, but my last experience there has solidified my decision that I will never use this company again. I took my car in for an oil change and to check/replace the brakes. First, I've always felt that they were priced way above market price, but they have always been very nice, so I just went with it. My quote for this service was ridiculously high and I pushed back and said I'd take it somewhere else instead. They immediately responded with a 15% discount. So, fact #1, they know they are overpriced and will reduce the price if questioned. Which tells me that they are ok with taking advantage of people who are not comfortable pushing back on the price. #2, It was a Friday and I told them I had to have my car back by the end of the day. 4pm, still no call, so we call them and they say they are still working on it, then nothing. Fully expecting them to call me before closing, they never did. I called and got voicemail that they were closed (not open on the weekend). I had to borrow a car for the weekend and for an important business meeting on Monday morning. #3, I went to the shop on Saturday morning to get something out of my trunk. My car was nowhere to be found. It wasn't in the parking lot and wasn't in the garage bays either. I'm not sure where they took my car, but I was never informed they were taking my car offsite. Not sure who got to use my car over the weekend, but it wasn't me. #4, They still didn't call me on Monday to tell me my car was finished, since I was out of town on business, I just had my wife go pick it up. Yes, they apologized to her for the mix up, but didn't offer anything to make it right. These are the reasons I will never take another vehicle to this place for service or repair. read more

I've been using True Automotive for the past 7 years but this is my first time with the Suwanee team and they did a great job as well. True Automotive is an awesome auto repair establishment that has fair prices. I have been a customer for many years with them at their Lawrenceville branch, and (now that I've moved) have had the pleasure of dealing with their Suwanee branch. My advisor was Sloane Taylor and I explained my issue of a water leak in the car interior to him over the phone. He suggested I come in and chat with the BMW tech to see what can be done. I took the car in; didn't wait long before the tech was available; explained the issue; tech took the car for about 30 minutes and came back with the issue resolved. When I asked how much for the repair, they said there was no charge! It was just a drain pipe that needed cleaning and they did it quickly. What a pleasure dealing with them! I feel the need to leave a review here my first experience I was a little disappointed in the price because the competitor gave me a better price but after leaving a survey telling this to the General Manager he reached out to me and wanted to know what he could do to keep my business I told him I would bring in the past receipts from the competitor I was talking about and he agreed to make it up. Well as luck would have it about a week or so later I had a mishap with the front tire they just put it on and ruined it I called them talk to the General Manager and he said come on and will work with you I have to tell you that I was very pleased and surprised at what they did. They actually comped the tire completely. I went in an oil change with no check engine light or issue. I requested tire inspection and brake inspection. They came back and told me I had 4000$ worth of repair. I got the coolant housing replaced, which cost me 1600$. I drove the car 20 miles and the check engine light came on immediately. At which point they told 4000$ of repair is needed. I stated the repair cost was unreasonable amount. The representative then stated rudely stated you will pay whatever the cost if you want this car repaired. They are very untrustworthy at the Buford location, that are looking for big money in pocket at your expense! Nasty car loaner, and no waiting area. I went to the dealership and got charges less. As woman, I wouldn't trust my car with this company. read more

I called on a Friday afternoon, mid day and they worked me in before a trip. I needed a lot done and Jenni was great to get me in. I sat down with Joel and explained what I most likely needed and was provided with prices. Usually at other shops, the next step is for the auto to be inspected and then we go back over what is needed and the costs. This step was missed 100%, and I got what I told them I thought was needed. There were a lot of repeat customers which was a good sign but as a new customer felt slightly out of place. I paid about 700 for brakes which was pretty high but because I was in a hurry, I accepted it. Meanwhile I heard others being told about discounts, as I laid out $1300 for all services. Lastly when my auto was done, I paid and asked for a receipt, where I was told that they don't really give out receipts. I asked about the warranty that came along with the brakes and was handed a business card and told I could call if that came up. Again, I just paid $1300 and not provided a receipt. The icing to my service was as I sat there waiting for mine to be done, everyone's auto was driven to the front. I was handed my keys from Joel so I could walk out to mine. Just seemed odd and unwelcoming. read more

Brought my Mercedes in after hearing a bang to left front wheel area and subsequent gradual sagging of suspension. Surmised that I most likely blew a ABC hydraulic hose housed in that area and relayed that to the mechanic/advisor when I checked in. 3 days later I was informed that I needed a new hydraulic valve, 3 hoses, and the required hydraulic system bleed procedure. This was estimated at a cost of over 3200 dollars. I wasnt comfortable with the analysis based on my having heard the previously mentioned bang and still convinced that a single hose was most likely the cause. Took my car to another repair shop, got a diagnosis of a single hydraulic level hose as the culprit. Was repaired for 520 dollars including system bleed and has been fine since. Disappointed in the attempted upcharge and/or misdiagnosis. Beware of sketchy upcharge and unnecessary labor and parts attempts!! read more

After expressing to them that my 2000 Cherokee needed love and care because it just got hurt my an inferior mechanic, they also did me wrong. Changing me $130 for a diagnosis that ended up being wrong after I expressed myself time and time again that i knew what the problem was. They ignored me because I'm not a certified mechanic (even though I've encountered the same problem dozens of times on friends jeeps and fixed it just didn't have time to do my own) Came back to pick it up after they were "done" and "test drove it" over the phone they said it was a lot better... IT WAS WORSE. It died on me 3 times getting out of the parking space. "It was the part that you rejected"- they told me. WELL GUESS WHO CARRIES AROUND A SPARE?! This guy. I proceed to replace the "problematic part" literally just to prove their diagnosis wrong. Guess what happened? IT WAS WRONG. Limped it home and replaced the real problematic part (called out of work to do so) and guess what happened after it was replaced?? IT RAN LIKE A CHAMP! On top of quoting me $1100 for a rear main seal and oil pan because it's "visibly pinched" the part they spoke of had Nothing to do with either of those. Also quoted me $1000 for fixing my rear shock mounts because I broke a bolt off. 5 min later with a hammer drill I popped the welded nut off and welded a new one on and fixed my issue they were going to charge me $1000 for. My cost? .32 cents for the new nut and bolt. So moral of the story is that this place will diagnose something and replace parts at will an return an un-drivable vehicle and have the audacity to claim that it's better. On top of that they will not call me to find a solution. Every time I call kathrine is in a "meeting." What about Scott you ask? The trusty mechanic that can't diagnose a simple problem and won't listen to your input? Worthless. Steer clear of this place if you are looking for someone honest that will work on the right issue. As a female, I always feel a little nervous going in to car repair places only because I don't know as much as I should about cars but I needed an oil change and I knew it needed to be synthetic blend. Walking in I was greeted and instantly felt welcomed. I had called earlier and asked for a price and they quoted me $37!! That was the cheapest I had heard and the place had 5 stars!! I see why!! Amended 11/12/2021: After speaking with the GM Jeff we decided to give True Automotive another try. I returned last Friday to drop the car off and meet with Jeff. He drove home with me where he heard the my wife and I were experiencing. He mentioned he had a couple of ideas but wanted to more research and would I be okay leaving the car over the weekend. After that Jeff kept in contact every day with a status of the diagnosis. He finally established the cause of the noise, it was wheel bearing and hub. Our car now fixed and seems to be fine. I am leaving my review below because it really happened. This was a very poor experience and ultimately turned into a very positive one. Kuddos to Jeff for sticking with it. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I just want to share my experiences with True Automotive. Back in August 2020 the 'Check Engine Light' came on in our 1998 Nissan Altima. I called the Suwanee shop and spoke with Katherine who suggested the True Multi-point inspection. Kathrine texted me a link to a list of items wrong with the car that totaled over $3000.00. When picking up the car, my wife gets in the car starts it up and guess what, the 'Check Engine Light' is still on! We went back in the shop and complained. Three months later in November 2020 the 'Check Engine Light' comes on again! I called the Suwanee location this time speaking with Ian who again suggest the True Multi-point inspection. A day later after bringing the car he calls me that the knock sensor is bad. Another $568.00 to fix the problem that should have been fixed the first time. In October 2021, my wife comes home from work complaining the car is making a loud banging sound. Being that we had so much work done on the car and Katherine told me that all the repairs were guarantied for 3 years we decided to go back to True Automotive because maybe something they did or something they installed went wrong. Now dealing with Chris. Again the 'True Multi-point Inspection' spiel. Chris calls and tells me we need a new engine mount at a cost of $391. Thinking that might fix the problem I agreed. Driving it the next day, the noise was still there. Calling Chris suggested my wife take the technician on a test drive. We agreed. My wife met with technician Evan on the test drive. The noise did not happen but would re-examine the problem. Chris then calls me the next day saying they worked on it all day and could not find the problem, but he did notice 2 other engine mounts looked warn. I agreed the replace the remaining 2 mounts. When picking up the car, I told them I was going to drive it home and record any sounds the car made on my phone. The gentleman who checked us out said that would be a great idea. I did and the sound happened. I called Chris to tell him I had recorded the noise and asked where I can send the link to the file. I emailed the link, called Chris to confirm receipt. When I called Chris said he would listen to it from the 24-minute mark. Chris said he would be in touch shortly. Since calling Chis to confirm receipt of my email with the link to the file, he told me he would be in touch shortly I have not heard from him or technician Evan. I use them for my first oil change. They were very polite, very fast service. When the mechanic came to talk to me, he only mentioned some small issues, such as needing to replace windshield wipers. There was no long list of repairs that need to be made. They seem to be very kind and friendly family owned auto shop. Will definitely return. The chairs were comfortable to sit in, I did not have to wait long, there was a TV for entertainment and the front desk lady offered to provide me with the remote control in order to watch whatever I wanted. It is very easy to get in and exit the parking lot. read more

I received a brochure in the mail about this place and decided to give them a try to perform a service that was due on my car. I made an appointment without any issues. The service advisor was very nice when i dropped off my car. I picked my car up the next day and when I got in the car there were grease foot prints on the carpeted floor mat. I was irritated but thought not worth returning inside to complain. We were leaving to go out of town the next day. We were almost to our destination when my car started sounding like the front end was going to fall off. It was a holiday weekend and we were concerned on how to get repaired and would we make it home. We called as soon as we got home and took car back to find out that the technician had failed to tighten the sway bar bolts on the bushing replacement. I would think that all bolts would be double checked before I picked up the car. When I dropped off the second time I purposely left a towel on the floorboard mat. When i picked up the car the towel was gone and there were grease footprints on the floorboard mat and grease handprints inside the drivers side door. I give them 2 stars because they did price match . They originally charged me more than $100 more for a tire replacement than two of their competitors quoted me for the same replacement. read more

Not a good experience at all. The people here are friendly, but unfortunately friendly doesn't fix a car. I brought my car to True Automotive because it was "running rich". This occurs when there is an improper mix of fuel and oxygen. True kept my car for 4 weeks and tried a number of things, many of which I could not see how they related to the issue. Examples were sealing an oil leak, which I did not know existed. In any case, after 4 weeks and $2800 less from my pocket, True told me my car was running better and that I would be able to take it for an inspection. The account rep told me the "running rich" issue was fixed but the engine light was still on. I was willing to accept this, if I could take the car for inspection and then get a waiver from Dept. Motor vehicles. On the day I came to True to pick up my car, I could not drive it even 400 meters to get an inspection without it cutting off. I was very frustrated as one would imagine. No effort was taken to insure the car was in a basic functioning state. This was totally unprofessional! I was given some excuse that it was checked...but blah...blah. The account rep. told me that if I leave the car another day, they would check it again.. Well, I left the car with True for another 2 days...nobody called me with an update.....I had to call to get an update. Once I called True, I was informed that the issue was an engine issue now and that I would need a new engine. The cost to replace the engine quoted to me was between $10,000 to $15000 dollars. This is after True wasted my time fixing or adding unnecessary things. Finally, I said that was it! I sent a wrecker to pickup my car. I took the car to another location and it was fixed in 2 weeks time. No new engine required!! I wish the story or nightmare ended there...however, once my car was repaired by the other place....NOT True Automotive, I discovered that all the engine coverings and under the car coverings taken off my car by True Automotive were never placed back on the car! How could this be?? I had to go back to True and have them look for the parts and have them place them back on the car! The account rep told me that the covers were not placed on the car because the wrecker came unexpectedly...blah, blah etc. Do you see the pattern here? Excuses and incompetence! The truth is...I called True Automotive a day before to let them know the wrecker would be coming. I would like to say that this place is good for an oil change, tire change, alignment or maybe spark plug change. However, don't take your car here for serious work! They are just not capable! Please note that I took a few weeks before writing this review. I wanted to see if the car could be repaired at another place before writing this review.
