This engine was built with factory style dished pistons and a flat tappet cam. After 10 hours of light use the engine was trashed. The oil was glittery and when my mechanic opened up the bottom end, all of the bearing were scored from metal shavings in the oil. Apparently the block wasn't properly cleaned after machining and there was metal shavings inside the oil passages. My mechanic also told be the block was bored 60 thousands over and should never have been sold as a remanufactured marine engine. Yes, the cam was broken in with a high zinc oil and run at 2500-3000 rpm, then the oil was changed and filter cut open and inspected.

Greg Polanco is the person I worked with. So, I started the process on October 3, 2024, and paid my downpayment of 4,000. I got my insurance on the car the same day. Now I know that with the storm hitting that same week, getting my car would take some time. I didn't get my car until everything with Capital One was finalized. That took about a month and two weeks.
