This morning it showed on my dash board 'low pressure in a tire.' We are so job specific in my long term marriage that I really didn't know what to do next. Thank God for these guys at Truckee Tires. They not only checked that tire but they checked all the tires and went over the car inside and out. They found that an old patch was leaking, fixed it and sent me safely on my way. Our tire pressure indicator went off and I looked on Yell and found this place. They were able to take a look immediately when we drove in, we may have been lucky with timing. They found the weird nail/screw that was stuck in our tire and was able to patch up the tire very quickly. Best tire service I ever had. I am beyond grateful for Truckee Tire and the incredible support they gave me during a really difficult situation. I broke down on a Saturday with two flat tires and was told by multiple places that no one could help me until Monday. I was stranded with two kids and starting to panic. But then I reached out to Truckee Tire, and even though it was Sunday--their day off--they still took the time to help me. They offered text support and stayed in contact with me late Saturday night through early Sunday morning. Their kindness and willingness to communicate during their time off brought me so much comfort when I desperately needed it. Felipe ended up coming in and saving the day. Had a flat tire on a Sunday and at 86 I am physically unable to change and install the spare. Truckee Tire sent a repairman who arrived quickly and promptly removed the nail from the tire and plugged the hole with a repair plug. Being dragged away from your family on a Sunday is difficult but this repairman was eager to help, sympathetic and understanding. Wished every service person had his attitude and skills. read more

Twice in the last few years, I have brought one of my cars into Truckee Tire with a slow leak in one of the tires. In both cases, the problem was a plug put in by someone else that was leaking. Each time, they removed the tire and patched it from the inside. They did this while I waited, even though I didn't have an appointment. Much to my surprise, they charged me nothing--$0, zilch! I promised myself that the next time I needed new tires, I would get them from Truckee Tire. And so, a few months ago, I got new tires for my Subaru. I came to this tire shop because of a flat tire on my jet ski trailer. They checked both tires and there was no air leak. They discovered that the tires were installed with a low pressure valve stem and the tires were high pressure. They changed the valve stems and reinstalled the tires on the trailer. Well folks, there's a reason why Truckee Tire has so many solid five-star reviews - this place is legit. Today I had my first solo experience with a flat tire in a very remote area. I called AAA for a tow and declined offers of help from two good samaritans as I kept an eye out for my tow truck in shining armor. After two hours of waiting, I realized that no one was coming. The next person who passed by offered to put the spare on for me (I watched sheepishly, thinking "how can I be an adult who has driven for over 25 years and still not know how to do this??") To do: learn how to change a f'in tire. My lameness aside, I did get to Truckee Tire before the 5pm close. Travis and team got my car fixed up with a new tire in a prompt and professional manner and I was on my way within 15 minutes. Giving a 5-star review doesn't come close to the superlative service I recently received from Travis and his team. As I was taking the onramp to I80 on my way home I hit a deep crevice in the road, which caused my front right tire to blowout immediately. Fortunately I have run flat tires and so I was able to limp along and get off at the next exit. Once I did that I searched for the closest tire shop, which happened to be Travis'. I frankly did not expect them to provide me an instant solution, but after meeting Travis and explaining that I wanted to figure out the easiest way for me to be able to get home that evening, he spent a few minutes going through his inventory and found 3 tires that could work for me as a stopgap - 2 were new and 1 was used, but none were the exact tire I would need longer term. So, he recommended that I just go with the used one, which I did. While paying the very reasonable $75 for the used tire and installation, his guys noticed that the front left tire was also damaged and there was a "bubble" popping out of the side. He went in the back again and located another used tire that could work as a temporary, and get this...he didn't even charge me for it! The only thing he asked is that I return that tire to him since it was a pretty high end model and could be used elsewhere. I told him that more than likely I won't be back until sometime after the new year, but he was fine with that. Man, what outstanding service, and in addition to that Travis was just a great guy to chat with about what's been going on in the world lately. Drove in from Orange County and noticed a nail in my tire. Did not want to have to go to Reno for this. My dad, who is a local, suggested I have Truckee Tires check it out. I called them and the owner Travis told me this should be no problem and to bring the car in by 11 am. At about 10:45 am, I pulled up to one of the service bays, and one of Travis' tire techs guided me in and had it repaired in less than 10 minutes. During this short wait, I went in to settle my bill and low and behold a familiar face was Travis the owner. He and I graduated from Truckee High in 1989. After the many years of not seeing Travis, I was truly impressed by his thriving business with skilled and efficient staff. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND TRUCKEE TIRES.
