I showed up to a clean shop and was greeted right away. The guys took care to notate what we were installing and off they were to get the job done. After only a few hours I received a call that everything was done. When I showed up, they had my Jeep ready and walked me through the install. Everything looked great! I can highly recommend Oakley for any of your off-road needs. They had some pretty cool projects happening in their shop. Oakley installed a new front grill with built in LEDs, new wheel-well liners and a new air-intake system. I could not be happier with the work they performed.

With…read morean extremely extensive project totally overhauling my 4runner I had to get it right; find a boutique shop focusing on quality over quantity, a primary point of contact that is detail oriented and responsive, and a team that's willing to get creative while doing excellent quality work. I got all that at Oakley with Scott running point on the project, helping select vendors and run all the vendor management AND responding to me anytime while I'm like a five year old on Christmas Eve. Scott just made the whole thing as easy as it could be. Riley and Keith in the shop were amazing too. When the awning we ordered didn't fit perfectly to the roof rack we ended up going with? They built a custom mount that looks better than the original (and there are a dozen examples like that). Possibly the second best part after getting the sickest off-road zombie killer of all time? The billing process was clear and fair. Had an issue with two of the vendors (out of 12+) and Scott handled it on my behalf making sure I paid only what I should. Like I said, don't write reviews often but this process with Oakley was a PLEASANT surprise at every turn.... And when you're spending hard earned money that's how it should be, just isn't very often. If you are thinking of a project small or large I can't recommend the shop or the staff more highly.

We made our selections, but the person responsible for pricing wasn't available to give us a quote on-site. Later that evening, he called and quoted us $1,900. I asked whether they offered a cash discount, and he said they could take $50 off, bringing the total to $1,850. He then took a $900 deposit over the phone. I told him I would bring the remaining $950 in cash when we dropped off the vehicle, and he agreed. When my husband arrived to drop off the car (I was following behind in a second vehicle), he called to tell me they were charging an additional $150 for taxes. I was shocked. In all my years of making purchases, I've never been quoted a price, agreed to it, paid a deposit, and then been told later that I owed additional money on top of the agreed-upon amount. Maybe some businesses quote prices before taxes, but that should be clearly stated upfront. At no point was I told that taxes would be added to the quoted price. Their response was simply an apology. As I told them, they get to say, "I'm sorry," and I get to be out another $150. They definitely came out ahead in that exchange. Because of this experience, I would encourage others to be careful and get every quote in writing, including clarification on whether taxes are included. Hopefully, I won't have any warranty issues down the road, because this situation has left me concerned about the company's transparency and overall integrity. The workmanship looks good so far, but based on my experience with the pricing and communication, proceed with caution.

This place always has a ton of cars in their lot as I'm sure a lot of people have caught on to their good service and bring it here. That's the kind of shop you want to have. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. TL;DR Steve's business revolves around attracting customers with inexpensive oil changes, then upselling products/services that not even your car's dealership recommends. Pay $30 more to have your oil changed literally anywhere else. About month ago, I wrote a review on Google (see last paragraph below) that said Steve's is good for an oil change, but to be warned that they'll try to upsell things you don't need. Fast forward to today, I arrived early for my scheduled oil change and the employee at the desk looked up my appointment, and then went to the office that's behind one-way glass like it's a police station. The one-way glass is a perfect metaphor to the shadiness of the shop. Trevor, presumably a manager, came out to speak to me and gave a schpiel about ensuring their customers safety and satisfaction is their top priority. I waited for him to finish. When he did, I asked what was happening, were they refusing to service my car? Yes, that's exactly what Trevor was doing except it wasn't outright refusal but extortion. He said they wouldn't change my car's oil unless I removed my review. Trevor went on another schpiel about how car dealerships don't recommended changing oil as often as Steve's does because Steve's cares more about properly maintaining the car for safety. You're reading this correctly (if you've made it this far), the mechanics at Steve's know your car better than the mechanics at your car's dealership, and Steve's recommends more products and services than even your car's dealership, and dealerships, as everyone knows, are notorious for upselling. Insane that Steve's attempts to outsell the kings of upselling. Best part was Trevor was addressing my review at the time, but my review made no mention of Steve's recommending an oil change too often (see the review below), which is telling because it means Steve's recommends more frequent oil changes than your car's manufacturer recommends. I'm insulted for two reasons. First, that Trevor thinks he can use the same snake-oil salesman talking points he would use on a grandmother. Second, for wasting my time. Original review: Recommend for an oil change but nothing else. Know that they attract customers with inexpensive oil changes in order to upsell just about everything. Multiple times they've recommended service my car didn't need. Most recent example was when I needed new brake pads, they insisted I needed new rotors as well because "you should always change them together" and "if you don't the brakes will squeak." I called a dealership to fact-check and they said that's not a thing, you're fine to replace just the pads without rotors. Sure enough, it's been months and brakes are just fine, no squeaks.
