Was on a road trip in my STI when it threw a CEL 15 miles from SLC. The folks at Simple were able to fit me in as a walk in and clean out my MAF sensor. This is going to be harsh but real. Simple Performance needs to close shop either permanently or temporarily to revamp their process. I got my car back from them 5 days ago and got an incomplete installation of parts and they kept an item that wasn't installed(which is theft in my book), I asked for my stock parts back(they put my intake manifold, tgv, wga and bov in a box in my trunk), they attempted to keep some parts they didn't install and I got a complete crap tune(super flat and no punch to it). I had a face to face with Ryan and Walter today 6/3 and Ryan blames my poor tune on the quality of my fuel and Walter didn't seem the least bit of shame or remorse for the poor/incomplete job his shop did. They still maintain they didn't do anything wrong and are arrogant to think they did a satisfactory job. I found hoses that are connected to the manifold that were almost falling off, Ryan says the hoses shouldn't because they don't see boost(which is wrong) and that the hoses are not secured by clamps from the factory(again, that's a lie). My car was tuned with a hose going to my intake disconnected and my blow off valve wasn't even connected to the return of my intake. I have asked 5 times for my Dyno sheet and I still don't have a copy. When I mentioned all this, Ryan maintained that, it's no big deal and it's fine(maybe to him open vacuum lines and a big open hole in the intake is fine) however not on my car. If I'd have known that, I wouldn't have taken my car to that junk yard. I took my WRX to Turbo Lab and had pulls done on Ryan's tune and then had a competent tuner there tune my car and magically my car made 73hp and 34.5ft/lb with 1psi less boost. Ryan told me that it's because they use a different dyno arrogantly ignoring the fact where I told him we did pulls on his tune, a dyno reads power and his power was wayyyyyy low. Kinda odd, but that's the best Simple had to offer. Do yourself a favor and skip this place. All the pics of zip tied hoses are my doing, those are the ones they took the clamps off of and tossed them away. Mind you the hoses were almost falling off the manifold when I got home and the BOV was still disconnected from the intake. Included are pics of the parts I had to go back for. Some of which were removed by them because they felt like it and there's a ton of stuff just left loose under the manifold. They wanted me to bring my car back so they could "make it right" but I wouldn't let them touch my car again. My car is a 20 WRX with 3k miles, everything is clean and fresh and now needs more time to bring it up to my standards which should have been done in the first place by them. All of these mistakes and they still didn't catch it on their predyno inspection. read more

Great place. They were very upfront about what they had to do with my truck and accepting about what I wanted. Unfortunately I got as close as a week from the service date and my job forced me to relocate. So it was my fault, the only negative thing is because they are so good and popular he is usually booked solid. So you might have a longer wait than most. read more

Horrible place! Dont trust them! Had my outback in for a clutch and a "no cat exhaust mod" (cat-less header, and o2 resistor trick). They replaced the clutch(took them all day because they didn't have the subaru lift for the engine). They noticed a leaking axle seal on drivers side and replaced it during the clutch job, but it kept leaking. The computer kept throwing codes because their resistor trick didnt work. I brought It back to them a second time and they said that both axle seals need to be replaced. They also put a standoff for the o2 sensor the second trip saying that would stop it from throwing o2 codes. That didn't work. So........I put the exhaust back to stock with the cats. I asked them for the $350 back for that mod. They said no, here's $100. So, in summary, they gave me a car that tripped codes and had leaking axle seals. Since they didn't correct it the second time I chose to stop using them and ask for the money back. At least the clutch works....!!!LOL...They need a lesson in good business. I don't care about the money, I just felt cheated and thought they should refund my money($350 out of a total $1700 bill) to remedy the situation. read more
