I cannot believe it has taken me this long to write a review. This is our favorite winery! The beautiful property, the delicious wine and the warm family feel keeps us coming back and bringing our friends.

My boyfriend and I took a little getaway to Napa and he found Truchard vineyard. This was my first time ever wine tasting and Justin took really great care of us from all of our questions getting answered to actually getting to know us. We were able to sample many of their wines and see the cave where all the barrels of wine were kept. We even purchased a beautiful bottle wine. We can't wait to comeback and would definitely recommend to friends and family.

If you want the Napa Disneyland experience don't bother coming here Anyone who rated this place less than 4 stars probably wanted that and does not know wine or is simply super bougey. This was the best tasting I've ever been to. On Tock their scheduled filled up but I called DAY OF and the owner answered the phone. Folks the Owners are in their 80s. They manage 400 acres. How incredible is that? Arrived early and was greeted by Justin who ended up being our guide around the property and our sommelier. Justin was absolutely AMAZING. A true treasure of this establishment. For 2 hours Justin poured us wine, and told us everything about this unique amazing vineyard. Folks this is what Napa used to be. I'm not interested in the flashy nonsense the big corporate guys have. I want to step on the soil, understand the microclimate, know the history of the owners. This tasting is worth far far more than the $40 they charge. It's one of the bargains of Napa Valley. Check it out before things change.

Truchard was the best decision we could have made!!! Go here!!! Very laid back, relaxing vibes, with a great host Justin. We truly left blown away and it exceeded our expectations... Justin rocks!

Do yourself a favor and reserve a tasting here!Incredible vineyards, views, history and of course great wine. Justin was amazing! Expertly guiding us through some of the finest wines we've had anywhere. Skip the 'industrial tours' and experience a personalized tasting and tour a superb family owned winery.

Vineyard tasting and view

If you are looking for an intimate family run winery excursion try Truchards. It is a once in a lifetime experience. Lauren is exceptional and wine are amazing. I will do this tour multiple times The time within the working winery and vineyards is spectacular A must visit if you are in Napa

We started our first wine tour at Truchard Vineyards. Justin greeted my friends and I with a welcoming smile. First tasting was the Chardonnay and every wine we tasted after that was pure bliss! We were hooked and ended up purchasing 4 bottles of wine. The family owned property was amazing and the hospitality melted our hearts. Justin was really patient with us girls as the tour went on and took the time to answer all our questions. Overall an amazing experience! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!

I had the most amazing experience here. The vineyard is gorgeous. Visiting the Truchard family and their amazing staff will make you feel like you were there visiting friends. Carlix was our wine tasting guide, he was extremely knowledgeable (probably because he is one of the guys who actually makes the wine). He shared all the history and stories behind the Truchard family and how they came to have their Vineyard and answered a TON of questions we had because we were not the most wine savvy people. He took us down into the cave where we got to smell fresh new barrels and sip some delicious Cab . We finished our tasting with a walk through the vineyard to see their inspiration for their iconic Truchard logo. I left feeling extra special as Carlix gifted me a birthday present (it was actually my birthday). 10/10 would recommend and would definitely return when I'm back in Napa.

Truchard was the first winery we visited once we arrived in Napa and the experience set the tone for the remainder of the trip. The staff was warm, friendly, and infinitely helpful. The grounds are absolutely breathtaking, and their wines are excellent. I'm personally not a white wine fan, but when I tried their Chardonnay I couldn't believe how great it was. I would definitely recommend Truchard Vineyard to anyone visiting Napa. Of the ten + wineries we visited, Truchard was a favorite.

Ripe Pinot Noir grapes!!! So sweet

If you are looking for a "big vineyard with a family feel" this is the place. They are family run and the employees have been there for many years. I appreciate the individual time the server took - walking through the vineyards tasting the grapes!!! Affordable but high quality. Authentic. Great quality. Great

Everyone having wine chose the Signature Flight, which included one white and three reds. I appreciated the option to substitute a Sauvignon Blanc for the Chardonnay, a nice personal touch. Each wine was distinctive, balanced, and delicious in its own way. You could really tell the care and craftsmanship behind every pour. What really stood out was the hospitality. Our host was not only incredibly thoughtful but impressively knowledgeable. She explained where each wine's grapes were grown, described the flavor profiles we could expect, and added insights into how the terroir influenced the wine -- all without it ever feeling too technical or over our heads. Even better, our designated driver was offered iced tea, lemonade, or an Arnold Palmer, which I really appreciated. It's always a plus when tasting rooms consider the full group's experience, not just the drinkers. The vibe was so warm and relaxing, we ended up staying for over two hours. It felt less like a stop and more like a true experience. Definitely one of the highlights of our time in downtown Napa.

Quality/Quantity - I had a hard time with the website making my appointment, it's a user issue as I am just not tech savvy. So I called and someone actually answered the phone and made my appointment for me, THANK you! We arrived 15 mins early, so we hung out in the lobby reading all the history, etc. Then Skip took us to the best view overlooking the vineyard for our tasting; see pictures! We sampled almost ALL the reds! All of which were good. See pictures. I like the fact that we did side by side tastings of many of his wines. My favorites were the 2022 Primitivo and 2021 Malbec, which we bought a few bottles of. Ambiance - Secluded private winery. Close to main Downtown Napa, but far enough away for privacy and a feeling of being far away. Appointment only, so very private and customer focused. Typically no more than 3 parties at a time. Today was considered a very busy day as there were 4 parties including us, lol. Gated private estate. 200 acres. Plenty of parking, especially since hosting only 3 guests at a time. Events - See their website. Well behaved dogs are allowed outdoors. Service - Skip is a history buff and we both talked for hours... After leaving, well really the next day (LOL), I realized that our tasting was supposed to be only 60 minutes. I guess because we got along so well, we stayed until closing! And he gave me a glass with a generous splash and let us walk the property alone after they left! So welcoming and trusting. Price - Depends on which tasting and what you buy; see their website for prices. Tastings range from $50 to $100 per person. One free designated driver allowed. Tasting fees waived with wine equivalent purchases. Hike tours $75 per person ($60 for club members). See their website for more information. Owner Comment - Congrats on your family's success since 1939 and congrats to this winery's success since 1992.

After we finished eating, I frantically researched (read: checked Yelp) for a winery to visit. Housley seemed to fit the bill--good reviews, dog-friendly (we had her dog with us), and what seemed to be a reasonable tasting price. We get there and we realize it's owned by Tamera Mowry (who is now Mowry-Housley!) There's a picture of her and her husband (a former baseball player) in the window. We're sort-of starstruck. Shortly after, her husband (and the winery's owner) Adam walks up with their daughter and asks us how we're doing. We continue to be starstruck. Service was wonderful. Seating was comfy. The views weren't the best (we were drinking on the sidewalk and there's a parklet too.) The 5 wines for $29 was not bad, but the size of the pours was lacking. The first pour was the smallest and then slowly they seemed to give us more (maybe they heard me!) Honestly, the pricier wines tasted better. I wish our wine tasting could've been free if we bought two bottles or something--I would've done that! Cute merch and store with goodies inside. Bathroom is clean. Would be back!
