The camaraderie and long term friendships I've made both on the field and off can't be described in a review. The league leadership have done a wonderful job to bring the game we loved as kids back to life for us as an adult. Come try out, message me, come watch a game, check out the website, whatever....regardless of age, sex, experience level, or ability....there is a team and a place for everyone. If you love baseball this is THE league for you. We have 9 divisions, each with at least 4-5 teams and recreational, intermediate, and competitive levels of play. You shouldn't be allowed to have this much fun!!! I've played in other leagues across the country; there is no comparison. Come check out the PSSBL!!! Play ball!

I entered the yearly draft and was selected 1st round in the 18+ division advanced skill level. My first year playing wood bat and I did AWFUL. I hit sub .200 and I was clearly outmatched pitching. 2019 and onward I joined the intermediate 18+ division and I've hit right around .300 each year since. In 2023, I started my own team in the PSSBL. Now that I'm a GM of a team and I have a few meetings a year with all the other teams and board members, I can see how efficiently and well run this league is put together as a non-profit league and every penny we pay as players is accounted for. It is the largest men's adult baseball league in Washington State and that's because there are 9 divisions spanning ages 18+ to 60+ and three skill levels over those 9 divisions. In my opinion the league is fantastic and unless I move away, I see myself playing in the league until I'm forced to retire from baseball.

Anthony finds volleyball players to manage specific locations to encourage other intemediate to high level players to come out and play in his leagues. Unfortuantely if you ask most of the players in the league about how they feel about it they probably wont have anything great to stay besides it is a LITTLE cheaper than Underdog Sports. Many of my friends and I have played in Tony's league over the past few years and not much as changed. They're poorly ran. They RARELY start or run on time. The schedules for games are usually posted the week of and if the league is set at a specific time they WILL run late which cuts into your play time. Volleyball nets are not set up for you. Players are expected to set up their own nets. (Which cuts even more into your playing time because the league before ran late) Lost league play time due to equipment set/issues etc are usually not made up unless Tony gets free gym time somewhere. Tony will try to make up the time to the players by hosting a free open gym on a random day which doesnt work for all the league players. (Usually a Saturaday) The leagues and tournaments usually run more than the average league/tourney fee. (leagues are usually ~$65-75 and tourneys are usually ~$25 per player, they charge more than that rate) No huge prizes for leagues or tournaments. Usually because Sideout Seattle list them as fundraisers so not much $ goes back to the players. There has been huge controversies about whether or not Sideout Seattle is actually donating their profits to the organizations they claim to support. The owner, Tony, is always open to suggestions but not before he gives you an excuse of they things are the way they are. Many volleyball players are upset with the way the leagues have been managed and thats not specifically one particular person's fault (especially not the gym managers, whom are also vball player themselves) but the companies fault. Many have voiced their issues and complaints and still in the past 1-2 years not much has changed. A lot of great players in the Seattle and greater Seattle region have boycotted the company but there are still new individuals that get caught up into this mess of an establishment. So if you're a volleyball player looking into getting some playing time check out the local leagues at your local community centers first before spending your time and money with Sideout Seattle. Renton CC, Redmond CC, Ballard CC, Kent CC, Edmonds CC, South Bellevue CC, Kamaikin CC etc all have some sort of open gym or competitive league.
