Bought the LS coupon, called to schedule, they explained there would be extra charge for anything but the glass, scheduled the appointment for around 9 am. got a call at 10 after 9 saying they would be 20 minutes late. By 10:02, I was pretty sure they were not going to show, I called and left a message that I was not happy and expected something in addition to "just the glass". Decided that if they did not call or show by 11, I was going to cancel the whole thing. (I took the morning off from work for this.) They arrived around 10 minutes to 11, did a great job, everything is streak free, they were fast, courteous, friendly and apologized for not getting here sooner.There was no extra charge for anything and they even did the windows around my front door while they waited for their ride to come back. I would give them 5 stars but that lack of communication piece is a sticking point for me. They offered me discounts for the future. I will be using them again! read more

I like to give companies the benefit of the doubt, and never post negative reviews about a single experience. However, I wouldn't even give Tru Window a 1. I bought a Groupon in April; when I got hold of someone finally after calling they were booked through July. I scheduled for end of July and the day of someone called me to cancel in the morning because their girlfriend was in labor. OK, I understand, congratulations, and after several back and forths on the phone rescheduled for August. Come that morning someone called me to cancel saying it might rain in Maine, and to reschedule. I asked about the "baby" and of course they had no idea what I was talking about and mumbled something about the baby's happy arrival in May or something. I rescheduled one more (third!) time and the morning of received another call canceling. I cut my losses and got a refund from Groupon. The only nice thing I can say is that the woman who returns the voicemails was friendly on the phone. Otherwise: totally unreliable -- avoid! read more

Service today. Bought via LS but thought I was doing biz with Ms. Fresh Windows. The only positive thing I have to say after reading the reviews here is that they showed up for me. I contracted with Ms. Fresh Windows (so BEWARE OF THEM TOO), to clean my windows only to find Tru Window Cleaning show up and do a less than stellar job. Once they left, I found out that they never did the insides of the 3 bedroom windows on the lower floor. Nor the bathroom. Nor the inside of the skylight in the bedroom. Nor the slider going out onto the deck. And they mentioned having a taller ladder to do my 2nd second story fixed windows, but they didn't bring it with them for the job that I sent pictures so that I could get an accurate quote. Honestly, what I experienced was less than a professional window cleaning company. Not only that, their cleaning product and method was less than effective as they used microfibre cloths (which move dirt) and some glass cleaner that wouldn't even remove a light layer of soot from the windows. I was able to write my initials into 2 separate holiday triangles on 1 window to show the foreman both that the dirt was NOT inside the window's double pane but on the surface, the surface that he failed to 100% clean with his microfiber. It was only after I got up on the ladder and used my product from Sprayway (HIGHLY recommend, cheap at Target) and paper towels, did my windows look clean. Had I not attempted this, I would have started to believe the foreman who said that the windows (which are less than 3 years old) were compromised and that they were fogging between the panes. WRONG ! He kept telling me that one thick layer of glass was better than double paned professional windows from a well know Maine manufacturer. and that the fog was inside my windows, not soot/dirt on the surface. I guess my Mom and all the people of the world were right when they say *if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.*. let's say that I will not be doing business with Tru W in the future. If I could give them a rating on living social, it would be 0 or 1 out of 10, a total FAIL. Let it also be known that the foreman never saw the pictures of my house that were emailed to Ms. Fresh Windows.,,,,He was very happy to share that with me, as was he when he shared that my house pricing of $285 was under what he would have charged for the job. But when he walked out of my house, he had a partially used can of a better cleaning product but may still not understand that a microfiber cloth is not the way to go when cleaning windows. So, I stopped payment on my check, the first time i've EVER done this in 40+ years of check-writing. Again, I want you to know that Ms. Fresh Windows is also not a cleaning company, but doing biz via LS with Tru W. Do yourselves a favor and buy a can of Sprayway @ target and do it yourself....you'll be HAPPIER, this I can promise. read more

Do NOT ever use this company. Don't buy a Groupon or a coupon on Living Social. They will not do the work. I have tried unsuccessfully for a month to schedule the window cleaning for which I already paid via Groupon. Cancelled appointments, no answers to multiple phone calls and emails. The voice mail is always full so you can't leave a message. Today was the last straw. Supposed to be at my house between 10a and 11a. I arranged to be home from work. I moved all the furniture so they'd have access to the windows. By noon, no one had come. I called. Actually spoke to a human who said, "I'll call the crew, find out when they'll be there, and call you right back." Nothing. Waited ALL DAY. No answers to subsequent phone calls, no answers to emails. And no crew. They have my money, but won't do the work. I've reported them to the BBB, but that whole process looks like a joke.
