DO NOT SIGN UP FOR PERSONAL TRAINING.
Do not let them con you like they conned me. I signed up with Tru mid October at the new location in Mission by Expressway 83 was. They offer a free body scan when you initially enroll & pitch you the PT packages they offer (scam) I went in on the 22th of October with Luis to do the body scan. You have to take your shoes and shirt off for an accurate scan totally understandable & they give you privacy. Well i walk out still you know adjusting my hoodie tying my shoes and Luis brings me over to his computer to sign what i thought was "privacy forms" for the body scan. Then we go to train for about 15 - 20 minutes, we come back to sit down and that's when he pitches the personal training they have to offer, i hear him out and i tell him "I'm a broke college student let me see what i can do and I'll let you know Wednesday" which would have been October 27th. I go Oct 25th and trained on my own didn't see him, I went Thursday, Oct 28th saw him on my way out he was dressed as Deadpool but no words were exchanged just a nod followed by a "hello." At this point I NEVER got back to him about the PT because like I mentioned I'm a broke college student and after trying to move money around there just wasn't room in my budget to do personal training. Well come Halloween I see a $125 dollar charge on a card I only gave them a one time authorization to use for the $9 something to sign up with them. I call to figure out that charge and Nancy tells me "looks like it's personal training" I tell her I never signed up I would like it refunded, she tells me she can't do anything about it only Luis. So I call Monday (11/01/2021) and they say he'll call me back. I text this guy Monday afternoon (still 11/01/2021) and I hear NOTHING back. I call Tuesday morning (11/02/2021) and they tell me he's in the building but he's busy and would call me back. I go on about my day I finally hear back from Luis at 3:34pm via text blatantly disregards my concern and continues to shove personal training down my throat. So I marched into the building to discuss it with him. When I first sat with him I explained that I never signed up and how I never gave him the ok, he then so arrogantly turns the computer and goes "you signed a contract" at this point I was confused cause I NEVER did. I explained to him how that day went down and he's like "I don't remember our conversation" well I do because I hardly ever have adult interactions, it's mainly just me and my kids. At this point I'm putting two and two together. This heartless scammer basically made me sign before ever even pitching the personal training remember those "privacy forms" BS I mentioned YUP! That's where he conned me. He then brings over this other guy, some Caucasian guy and try's to explain to him the situation BUT try's to explain in a way to cover his own behind. I cut him off and I go nooooooo sir tell him how it really went down, now this bozo all of a sudden remembers our conversation and how it went down. And the second guy does the same BS and goes "well you signed" well of course I fkn did! I thought I was signing for my naked ass to be private! I told him "is this how you conduct business Luis you pry on poor people to make your commission?" He goes no you signed. I was completely devastated by how they handled the situation made me feel crazy and really tainted my gym experience, I had to cancel my card because those idiots put it on recurring payments, on a card I never gave them authorization to use in the first place. My membership is set to automatic payments on my checking account. They completely went around me and signed me up using my visa prepaid card. LUIS is so grimy so dirty, for all I know he probably copied and pasted my signature to meet his commission. At this point i don't care to ever step foot in that gym I much rather drive the extra 30 mins to Planet Fitness than to go to a crooked gym like TruFit. read more
