I brought my girls for a softball camp and the staff especially the GM were extremely helpful and accommodating! I will definitely stay again!

Not a fan of communal shared toiletries

Opened in May, 2019, this 98-room hotel is a welcome addition to an otherwise bleak hotel deadzone that is Clemson. This Tru location is creatively nestled at the edge of a shopping plaza with a Mexican restaurant and a Five Guys and directly across the river from the main drag of Tiger Blvd in Clemson. Guests are welcome to a small self parking lot, that quickly filled up on a game day weekend. Once inside, guests are met by a very large lobby, that doubles as restaurant, bar and Internet cafe. They even had a pool table and gaudy seating. The front desk staff were helpful, friendly and very welcoming. They even said hello by name days after my initial check in. Garment wise they were dressed in polos and game day gear and didn't really stick out as hotel staff. If lined up with guests you'd have a tough time telling the difference. Upstairs I found the hallways to be extremely cold despite the overwhelming heat from outside. My room was warm at first but quickly cooled as I rearranged some settings. The first thing you notice as a guest is how small the room makes you feel. It's tight. While they have a tiny mobile desk and some tiny furniture in lieu of closets with luggage racks you really do feel as if there's a lack of space. This would not be pleasant for two people. I also found the bathroom to be on the small side, but at least the bathroom wasn't so small that you couldn't move around. Sadly, Tru offers the terrible shared toiletries bolted to the wall as if you're showering at the YMCA--they're just disgusting. My room's shampoo and body gel dispensers had stray hairs all over them killing the magical illusion that I was the first and only guest to use the room. I also happened upon a random housekeeping rag on the floor, but it was gone by the next day. One feature I did love about the room was the lack of carpeting. Almost all laminate flooring without the trappings of germ and disease harvesting carpet. Entertainment wise they had a huge television set but sadly the internet stream that feeds it was very low resolution. The WiFi wasn't as fast as they purported but it did allow for low level streaming. The standup lamp next to the bed was extremely loud. It gave this weird hum where I was concerned that it would have an electrical short.

Nasty blood and bugs on sheets and mold in shower got bitten by bug and staff was very very rude

Someone left their toiletries behind. How did housekeeping miss this

Best Western Seneca-Clemson

I stayed several days at the Best Western in Seneca, SC. My room was clean and pleasant. There…read morewas a constant noise from a fan in the bathroom, and a throbbing from perhaps an AC on the roof, so it wasn't really ever quiet. The room AC worked well. The Wi-fi and TV worked well. The complementary breakfast was well done and well kept. It offered sausage, bacon, eggs, and biscuits with meat gravy in addition to the waffles, toast, juice, etc. The elevator is desperately in need of maintenance. It makes loud noises which sound like broken wheels are likely to come off every time it moves. The hallways have video monitors everywhere. No privacy here at all. Smile! You are on Candid Camera. The bathroom was clean with ample large fluffy towels and nice shower. It did not have a urinal for men to pee standing up, nor a bidet for personal cleanliness. The bed was a little sagging in the center so my back hurt every morning when I got up. The TV remote quit working late on my last night there. Maybe the batteries died. I got up and walked over to turn it off. The ice machine was to small or not working well. It ran out of ice when I wanted a cold drink on more than one evening. Their staff was polite and helpful. This place is barefoot friendly.

Rude.. rude.. rude! Went through priceline to get a good late night hotel and this was an option,…read moreso I chose this since it is a hotel I'm familiar with in past experiences. When I went in to check in, the doors were locked and the front desk guy (Elijah, well what he said his name was but didn't have a name tag to confirm it) was sleeping on the couch in the lobby with a pillow and blanket. I understand this is a hotel, a place to stay comfortably when you're away from home, but on the job? Come on! So that was my strike one. Went to check in after the front desk got his nap in and was told I had to pay an extra $10 fee for having a third person in my 2 double bed room. I asked to see where I could see the terms and conditions for this unexpected fee and he said he didn't have one. According to the priceline site that after the purchase is made, the price cannot be modified. The front desk then told me that it was the owner's rules that they are required to charge an additional $10.00 per person after the 2nd guest. So this was my strike 2... Making me pay an additional fee that he couldn't even provide proof of written terms or conditions but only a verbal rule that anyone could just make up! That's like telling guests that they need to pay $5 more for toilet paper after the 1st roll. Unbelievable! The front desk then just gave us the room number and key because it started becoming very repetitive. As we went to the room assigned to us, the keys did not work! I just thought in my head, 'You must be kidding me!!' Already irritated of the situation I thought this guy is trying to tick us off! Went back down 3 flights of stairs to find out that he gave us the wrong room number!!! Strike 3!! I absolutely hated this experience and wish I saw the previous reviews for this place before staying here! Save yourself the troubled experience and money and just go somewhere else. Not worth it!

The location in proximity to shopping, restaurant, healthcare is only 5-7 minutes away. Another great benefit is the tax savings. We pay no prop tax on the land. Only on our building. Also, there are no assessments here! I highly recommend Backwater Landing!

THis property has a 50 year "LAND LEASE" Attached to it, with a renewal that starts at over…read more$500/month and goes up 3% a year with no CAP... SO, you buy a 'house on a lake,' for under $200,000.00 but an additional $350,000 is needed for the 50 year land lease (MORE WITH INCREASES). NO Offense to the developers, but it's INSANE TO Try and sell these units once you buy it, as the LAND LEASE goes up with resales. NOW, who wants to pay that kind of committment for 50 years, then it's renewed after that for 50 more in the $1,000's a month range, for the LAND LEASE. THIS IS BESIDES The cost of the house. I bought in when the land lease was under $300 and sold when it hit over $500, realizing the committment I HAD SIGNED On the purchase agreement. IT's like unto LEGAL FRAUD really, as they don't TELL YOU THE FULL AMOUNT of the contract, only the sale price of the house, and the 3% annual increase, ETERNAL. THAT SUCKS. I don't care for it, and the homes are nice, but not worth THAT KIND OF MONEY OR COMMITTMENT. THESE Philadephia developers need to be shown the way back home to Pa. Besides, they try to grind you for $20,000 on furniture supposedly at 10% above cost, (YEAH RIGHT), but it's a CASH COW FOR THEM, and he even admitted it to me; that's when I decided to RUN AWAY, and get a lake house without a 50 year 3% annual increase committment on A LAND LEASE...A Terrible deal you should NOT BUY INTO.. THANKS FOR LISTENING, I hope I helped.
