History
Established in 1972.
In November 1972, Wesley F. Troutt, CPA. a manager with a Big 8 firm in Kansas City, together with independent CPA, Bobby Sellberg, purchased a firm in Harrisonville, MO owned by Robert Stan Atkinson to form Sellberg, Troutt & Co. By 1978, after two more firm acquisitions, Ivan (Butch) E. Beeman would join the team and, along with John Daniel, be named partner, in 1981, after which the firm changed its name to Troutt, Daniel & Beeman in 1981. Through the 80's the firm would enjoy more growth with the acquisition of two more firms. Eventually, after the departure of John Daniel, the firm was officially changed to Troutt, Beeman & Co., P.C. In 1991, TBCO merged with Olathe firm Norton, Kahman & Klayder and the name was changed to Troutt, Beeman, Norton & Kahmann, P.C. Shortly after, Norton retired from the firm and Kahmann resigned in 1995, at which time the firm changed back to Troutt, Beeman, & Co., PC as it remains today.
Meet the Business Owner: Butch B.
Ivan E. (Butch) Beeman is the Managing Partner of Troutt, Beeman & Co., P.C. (TBCO). He has significant experience in all aspects of accounting and auditing, with an emphasis in the areas of tax planning and preparation for corporations, partnerships, estates, and individuals, auditing governmental and not-for-profit entities, estate planning, and peer review. Butch also serves as Trustee for numerous Trusts and Foundations.
